Grim Reapers Howl
Harold gets out of the bathroom after taking a shower. I was waiting outside the bathroom so when he gets out I give him the spare clothes.
He wears the cloth and we go to the room where the girls are chilling I mean resting. Harold enters the room with a smile on his face.
The girls also welcome him with a sweet smile. Quinella's smile is just too sweet and dangerous it always gives me a heart attack.
When Harold sat on a sofa Quinella went near him and sniffs him and says "Now you smell like a real man".
Harold smiled and asked her a question while looking at me "How do you know the smell of a man?"
The question puts both of us in embarrassment. So we looked away and were feeling a little bit uncomfortable there.
Harold understood it so he apologized quickly. But Quinella and I said, "it's okay and we are sorry". Trivut joined us and also said sorry.
He was startled when we all said sorry and the look on his face was telling us that, so we told him everything that why we are saying sorry".
After listening to our reason he laughed and said "There is nothing to feel bad about, it was my fault for joking in the wrong place, so don't mind".
We didn't want to stretch the topic so we changed the topic real quick and asked him "Why he was in that situation and why was Gilbert bleeding?"
He looks at me with a serious look in his eyes and said "Do you remember how Gilbert threw me into that disgusting carriage?"
I replied "That happened like 6 hours ago so yeah I remember it".
After getting my answer he continued his talking "After putting me in the carriage he drive the carriage like a mad person, he was driving it so fast that the carriage was shaking like a rocking cradle and my butt is still hurting".
I stopped him right there and asked him "How are you still alive?"
"Aren't you being too cold to me?" he said in a harsh voice.
I replied, "Not at all, anybody would have died if they were in your place".
He smiled and the next moment made a serious face and asked me "Was that a compliment or sarcasm?"
I showed my devil smile and replies "It's up to you".
He was going to punch me on my head but I moved from the place and hide behind Quinella and made the sound 'Buffff...".
He gets really angry this time and told me to come out of Quinella's back but I refused and said "I am going to listen to the rest of the story from here".
He didn't have any choice so he continued talking "When we were coming back from the cliff some bandits attacked us and due to that our carriage crashed".
He was going to say something more but Trivut stopped him and said "I know what happened next, you must have cut those bastards in half, right?"
He stretches his hands and replies "You know me well".
It confirms that he killed those bandits without any mercy. So I didn't ask him anything more about it.
This time after answering our question he questions us "What are you guys doing here".
Quinella explains to him everything about how we were planning to apologize to him and how Lara vomited in the carriage".
After listening to everything he laughs and says it must have been a difficult adventure for you guys.
By the way Trivut "Did Lara have carriage sickness cause we have rode in a carriage many times but she never vomited once so I am just wondering what made her vomit that badly that she passed out".
That's when everybody shut their mouth but I didn't shut mine and said: "Gilbert was telling us something about his family secret and so he mentioned the war of Ende Von Berringan and was telling us about the cruelty of the last king Von Betz Berringan, that's when she suddenly was behaving weird and the next moment when I asked her if she knows anything about the war, she vomited and collapsed".
After listening to my words he touched his lips and went outside the room without telling us anything.
After some time he comes back and says "Gilbert has awaken, let's go".
So we followed him and went to Gilbert's room. There was a bandage covering his head and his hand was also covered in bandages so it seems like he had broken one of his hands.
He points to the chairs and tells us to sit there. So we take our sits but we told him not to speak much but that's when he refuses our advice and says "I am all right, listen I have to tell you, guys, something important".
Harold places his hand on Gilbert's mouth and says "Nothing is more important than your life so please hear what we say and don't say anything".
Gilbert holds his hand and says "It's important; you have to understand so please take off your hand off my mouth".
Harold couldn't refuse his request so he takes off his hand. Gilbert thanks him for understanding and looks at us with a serious look in his eyes and says
"As I was saying about my ancestors let me make it short, our ancestor Steve Adolescent made a contract with Grim Reapers to use their power at the battle of Ende von Berringan and the contract was that if we uses the Grim Reapers Howl we will get the support of Grim Reapers means they will support us by fighting in our favor but in return we will turn into dust and our soul will be taken by the Grim Reaper".
After saying all that he looked at us and was shocked cause we all were like a statue while our mouth is open.
The information was just too much for us but it seems like it was not a big deal for Harold.
To satisfy my curiosity I asked him "Why aren't you shocked?"
He looked at us with a straight face and said "Oh! I knew that from the start".
We were like 'HOW?', and he understood that so he sighs and says "Did you guys forget that I was the son of the Head captain of the Rose Knights?"
We made an all-knowing face and said "Of course, we always remembered that".
Harold made a poker face and said "Well, I don't blame you guys for not remembering that, even though sometimes I also want to forget about it, anyway as I was saying I was the son of a noble family so I visited the Adolescent Mansion many times.
So I know Gilbert from childhood we used to play hide and seek together but now we play something else".
I stopped him right there and said "You are going off-topic please return to the main topic".
He nodded his head and said, "Sure, when our father was talking with each other we overheard them, that's how I and Gilbert got to know about the contract and the power Grim Reapers Howl".
"Yeah, I still remember that day anyway only the Adolescent family members can use this power and if one uses this power, Oh! I guess I told you about it before".
Quinella said, "Yeah but you didn't say how you guys activate the power and how it operates".
After hearing her words he was going to tell us about that that's when he felt a severe headache so he looked at Harold and said "Tell them the rest of the story" After saying that he closes his eyes.
I quickly went to call the doctor while everyone was surrounding Gilbert to see if he was okay or not.
The doctor came quickly when I told him about Gilbert. While the doctor was checking him we all were waiting outside the room.
On the other side, after going through a 6 hours long training session Draies is now taking a shower while thinking about his future.
After taking a shower he sat on the diner table to eat dinner. His mom and dad were waiting for him on the table so when he showed up they started eating together.
His father is now feeling a little bit better. Draies is glad to see him recovering.
Nowadays Draies wakes up at 5 am and eats his breakfast with his teacher. After finishing his breakfast he practices martial arts and sword fighting.
He is not quite skilled in using swords but his teacher suggested he to learn some basic skills so he can protect himself if he runs out of magic.
So he is taking his teacher's words seriously and learning some basic sword skills like slicing and thrusting.
Aboulas Alulae is a scythe user so even he doesn't know that much swords skill.
He wanted to teach Draies how to use a scythe but it is kinda hard to carry and use so he is just teaching him the swords skills for now.
Draies is now practicing his defensive and offensive magic skills; he wants to get ready before going to his mission.
If he fails in this mission then there is no turning back for him so he just have to accomplish his mission or else everything will go wrong. (To Be Continued)
