A new pawn and a Mark

Quinella asked me "Why is that?'

I replied "The Demon Kings can't come to this world from the netherworld by their own will. A barrier cast by the great god stops them from entering the Kalid universe"

After saying that I coughed a little bit and continued my words "There is an organization known as the Demonic Church they worship the demons to borrow their powers and in return of that they weaken the great barrier 'Netherly' of the netherworld and let the Demon King step in this world".

After saying a lot of things at high speed I was exhausted so I take a deep breath to calm myself.

Quinella looked happy and a little bit worried at the same time. So I asked her "What's going on, why are you looking worried?"

Instead of replying, she asked me "Don't you see that besides being worried I am also happy?"

I sighed and said, "I know you are happy for me but first I need to know why you are worried?"

Quinella smiled and said, "Maybe you are worried 'cause I am worried". I blushed after hearing that so I said "It's nothing like that but yeah I am a little worried about you, Can you now tell me what is worrying you?"

So after seeing that I am really worried, she replied "When we were returning to the house I saw a man in a cloak and there was a strong dark aura emitting from him and he was giving me a bad vibe"

After saying that she run toward the library and bought a book from there.

She takes a quick glance at page 25 of the book and was stunned after reading the page.

I snatched the book from her and see that there is a logo on the page and some weird-looking letters. The logo looks kinda creepy to me.

There is a goat's skull and a star on its forehead and a circle around its skull. After seeing it I was going to ask her something but that's when she sat on the ground and looked at me with fear in her eyes.

My heart was going to burst after seeing her like that. I quickly hold her hands and asked her "What happened, why you are so scared?"

She was shaking in fear and her voice was shaky and she was trying to say something but she couldn't say it.

I can't watch her like that so I hugged her tightly and whispered in her ears that "You don't have to fear anyone or anything, I am here beside you, I will protect you from anything, those who dared to put you in this situation I swear on your name their heads gonna fall soon, so please don't shack in fear and tell me everything".

After listening to my words she said "Will you protect me from the Demon King?"

I was quite shocked after listening to it but I gathered my courage and said "Didn't I promise you that I will protect you from anyone so why are you doubting me?"

Quinella looked kinda anxious after hearing it and said "We are talking about a Demon King; he is too powerful even though you are powerful there is a risk that you could die".

She was going to continue her words but I put my hand on her lips and said

"Don't say anything further, I promised you that I am going to cut the head that put you in this situation and made you look that miserable, I never back down from my words so I don't care if it's a Demon King or an Emperor I will cut his head down".

Quinella saw a burning fire in his eyes and understood that his anger is unstoppable right now.

She calmed down after some time that's when I asked her "What was the letter's saying on the page?"

She picked the book from the floor and opened the page and said "Maybe you can't read the letters 'cause it's from the Aranjit era".

I was quite shocked when I heard that the letters are from the Aranjit era so I asked her "The book is that old! No wonder I couldn't read it anyway what the letters are saying?"

Quinella read the letter once again and said the logo represents the Demonic church and the letters says that "We are the one who seeks the power to rebel against the gods and liberate those kind poor souls that gave us the power to reclaim our freedom, Thy by the grace of the demon king we will claim heaven and will liberate the Universe".

After knowing what the letters truly mean I was terrified and was happy at the same time. I guess we have to prepare ourselves for the worst and the best.

At that time someone knocked on our door. Quinella stood up and was going to open the door but I stopped her and said "Don't worry I will open the door, you go and get some rest".

So she went to her room and I opened the door. An Adolescent knight was on the door but I couldn't recognize him at first cause he was in a merchant's disguise.

As soon as I opened the door he entered in the house and gave me a letter and said: "Young master has given me the letter and told me to deliver it safely so here you go".

After giving me the letter he leaved immediately. I went to my room and opened the letter.

The letter begins by saying "Good day to you my friend, as you know that you have stolen the crest, let me tell you that the owner of the crest is looking for it, so please take care and look out for yourself".

After reading it I understood that I should call Itami and tell him about the person who will take care of the project on our behalf when he gets here.

I know that he will overreact at first but he will eventually understand that we need another person to take the lead in our world while we are busy in the Kalid universe.

I went to Quinella's room to tell her about the letter. When I entered she was taking rest as I thought.

So I went near her and told her about the letter. After listening to my words she kinda looked concerned.

After thinking for some time she came up with an idea but didn't tell me anything and dragged me to the basement.

When we reached to the basement Mary was looking downward but when she noticed that we entered the basement she looked at us with fear in her eyes.

I was having a quite hard time after getting dragged like that but finally, she let go of my collar so I was catching some breath.

Meanwhile, she went near Mary and pulled her collar. I can tell just by looking at her face that she was feeling pain but I can't do anything for her she is just savoring the fruit of her deeds.

Quinella pulled her collar, dropped her on the floor, and sat on the bed. After sitting on the bed she looked at me and her eyes were telling me to sit beside her so I went slowly and sat beside her.

After I take my sit she looked at Mary with a demonic smile on her face and said "It's time to get you in the work".

I was quite surprised when she told Mary that. I didn't even decide what to do with Mary yet then what is she talking about anyway I didn't interfere in their conversation.

After listening to Quinella's words she looked at her hand and replied "Just order and I will do anything, I must get the punishment for my deeds".

I didn't expect to hear this kind of words from Airin's mouth, it seems like she completely submitted to us and our wills.

After seeing that she completely submitted to us Quinella started to tell us her idea.

She said, "We will use Mary to get all the exclusive news from the palace; she will become a maid in the Royal palace and will work as a spy for us".

My mind was just blown after hearing her idea. What a wonderful and mind-blowing idea.

"That's my Quinella," I said loudly. Quinella didn't give me any attention and continued her words.

I have a friend who will teach her all the manners and the rules of the Rouse palace, she was once a head maid at the Royal palace so it will not be a big deal for her to teach this bitch how to be a proper maid" Quinella said.

I put my hand on the head and said "There is a problem; Mary is wearing a slave collar so she will get caught if the guards notice that".

After listening to my words she picked Mary by pulling her collar and disabled the collar by using her authority as the owner.

Oh! I guess I forget to tell you guys that, I transferred the authority to Quinella for some reason as Quinella was the one who is taking care of her.

After disabling the collar she tore her skirt and put her hand on the lower part of her belly and put a mark there.

After putting the mark there she laughed and said "With this mark on your body you can't defy me or the mark will activate a curse and will poison you slowly but surely, now stand up dark Isekai project's new pawn. (To be continued)
