Chapter 2 : Fever

"cool. i am Eva"

"well, nice to meet you .. you look somewhat familiar.."

"huh?" ava gave him a confused look

"where do you work?" he asked

"oh I work at a thrift store.."

"no wonder..." he said unpacking his stuff, he took a deep sigh "lets discuss things out now.. how long are you staying here?"

"ill be in this room until there is an empty room i guess..." she said

"Okay, that must be till tomorrow i assume. we can split the price, ill pay 250 and you pay 250" Alex said

"SO, the price of just one night is 500?" said Eva clearly frustrated

"yes"

Evas parents had only given her 700 for a whole semester, meanwhile Ari had 1.8k, it was always unfair.

'how long are you planning to stay here?" she questioned

"depends." he said laying on the bed.

"but there's only one bed here.. " eve mumbled

"what? can you speak up louder"

"WHERE DO I SLEEP! "

Alex calmly pointed next to him as he turned to edge and closed his eyes.

Eve was honestly shocked. sleep next to a stranger?

but she was stuck, she gave in and layed down beside him.

4:00 AM

it was late at night, eve shuffled around nit comfortable, she was Shivering even though the room temperature was hot. eventually, with her sneezing and shuffling around, /Alex woke up. "quit shuffling around." he demanded. "sorry a-about th-that" Eve said stuttering because her teeth were clashing, Alex noticed she had goosebumps and placed a hand on her forehead. "your burning up" he said. "wh-what? " Eve stuttered. Alex meanwhile got up and took out a basic medical needs box, he took the thermometer out and shaked it abit after washing it. "open your mouth and lift up your tongue" he ordered and Eve did as she was told. "a 100(F) .. looks like someone is sick." Alex said

taking a pill "swallow." he said and she did. "why are you helping? why do you care? " Eve asked. "take this is a thank you." Alex said placing a towel soaked in warm water on her head.

The Next morning

Eve woke up with her head dug in the mans chest, she looked up at Alex, who had taken care of her all night...'but why?' she wondered, she didn't back away as she was lost in her thoughts, but a hand pushed her away 'too close.' Alex said in a cold tone,he got up ajd checked her temperature again and surprisingly she was much better, all thanks to Alex. she looked at the time (5AM, wizard school is at 6AM) and immediately took out her uniform to get ready, 'what is it? the time? ' he questioned. 'it's 5 sharp' answered Eve. He as well got up and went to the bathroom to get ready, when he came out he seemed to be wearing a uniform but she could not recognize which school it was as he was wearing a leather jacket on top covering the logo. He just coldly walked out, Eve ran to him 'wait! I just want to say thank you!' she thanked. 'as I said, I was just returning a favour' he said walking away, no goodbye nothing. 'for what exactly...' she mumbled to her self as he walked away. she went to the empty room again and started to get ready. after a while she looked all well and set to go she took off with her bag.
