Nestled between sprawling, wild gardens, an old but prestigious mansion stood magnificently, exuding an air of timeless elegance. I had never seen anything like it. No one had such an edifice in the lands of my pack.

I wasn't surprised that something like this existed here, but the other buildings I had seen were modern. This mansion stood out in so many ways. Its weathered stone facade, adorned with intricate carvings, stood as a testament to generations past.

The stillness of the environment was unsettling; it seemed improbable that everyone had already gone to sleep. It felt too early for that. I stole a glance at Drey, and as he gazed at the building as well, I pondered the thoughts going his mind.
