Chapter 2: The Wedding Ceremony 1

It was about time. The beautiful decorations were made in the spacious hall. The Guests had already arrived. The hall was filled with people from the Kingdom.

Royalties and a Few Kings and Queens from other Friendly Kingdoms were invited.

Of course. Father just wanted to show off his beautiful Daughter. He was a competitive King and always wanted everything he owned to be the best of all.

She sat in front of the mirror. She felt a bit sick. Was it because she'd be leaving her Palace? The home she grew up in? Or because she was getting married to the man everyone saw as a demon.

The King didn't see anything wrong in that so why would she?. But why wouldn't she? She was getting married to Prince of Samai. The dangerous Prince everyone feared and not her Father. She'd have to take whatever she saw and The King wouldn't be there to say a word.

Her Maids spent hours Preparing her. She looked so beautiful than ever. Of course, it was a Royal Wedding but she didn't feel it was necessary to apply more makeup on her.

She kept still cause The King gave an order. He wanted her to look glamorous. He had always compared her with Princess Lera the Daughter of King Hill.

He had always talked about her style of fashion and how pretty she looked each time he went to their occasions.

She didn't blame her Maids. They were just doing their Duty. She had no right to go against her father's order. He was the King.

She wore a white and silver dress. The silver designs were lined at the middle of the dress and the edge of the sleeves. Her long brown hair was combed back beautifully with silver hairpins.

Her thoughts were Interrupted By a maid who came to inform her that The King had sent for her.

That was Xenia her Maid and friend. She was like a sister to her and she gave her some honest advice.

" I think your Prince is here." She walked in with a big smile.

"Xenia?." Reina frowned.

"Hey, look how gorgeous you look My Lady." She slightly lifted her chin with her hand.

"I'm not ready Xenia." She spoke to her from the mirror. Xenia stood next to her, smiling.

"Yes, you are My Lady. Just look. Look how beautiful you are." She looked into the Mirror.

"I'm Sure The Prince wouldn't take his eyes off you even for a second." She lifted her brows. Each time she did that made Reina laugh.

"Keep on Smiling My Lady. You've got the most amazing smile there." She looked at her through the Mirror.

"Xenia, want to ask you something. Please be honest." She looked straight at her.

"Yes My Lady." She replied.

"Do you think I'd make a good wife to The Prince of Samai? I heard his story. It's spreading all over the Kingdom. Everyone knows I'm getting married to the Demon Prince."

Xenia saw the worried look on her face and needed to be honest with her.

"Should I be honest My Lady?." She asked and Reina nodded.

" I think you'd make a great Wife and a great Queen." She halted.

" Everyone has heard of him. What if it's just rumors? What if it was never true in the first place? What if he's the prince you had always wished for every night on the shooting star?." She continued.

Reina thought of what she said. "What if what she said were true? What if he wasn't a demon prince after all?." She thought.

"My lady?. "She snapped her finger in front of her eyes to wake her up.

"Yes Xenia." She answered.

"Don't give much thought to it. I believe he's a good man. Who knows, he might be that enchanted prince from your best storybook. What's the name again." She tried remembering.

"The Knight Prince." Reina reminded.

"Yes him. He'd protect you with his blood." She halted.

"And save you from the enemies of Vid 'cause we were meant to be." Xenia and Reina said together . She never forgot those words. That was the best Fantasy story they read to her since she was a baby.

"Thank you Xenia. You just made me feel better." She smiled. Then she faced her. Her smile slowly turned into a sad frown.

"I'll miss you." Her eyes welled up with tears and Xenia enveloped her in a tight hug.

"No, you'll ruin your makeup, My Lady." Xenia took out a tissue and wiped off the tears on her face.

"Wish it could get ruined so I'd spend more hours with you." She let out a sad chuckle.

"It's time My Lady." Xenia took her hands and led her out of the room accompanied by her other Maid.

They walked through the hallway almost getting to the Hall When someone walked up to them from behind.

"I Guess this belongs to you My Lady." A beautiful man was now standing in front of them holding up a silver Hairpin.

Reina turned to Xenia and then turned back to the pin he held.

She knew it was hers but how did the get it? She thought. Then she remembered she had it in her hand while she had a conversation with Xenia in the room. Maybe she had dropped it on her way here.

"Oh. I.. Thanks...Your Highness." She knew he was royalty cause of the Expensive Robe and jewelry he wore.

She knew he wasn't from her Kingdom cause she had never seen such a gorgeous man around. "Maybe he was a Royal guest." She concluded.

He had a pair of dreamy hazel eyes. He was tall, and beautiful. He had long shiny hair that fell to his waist. He had broad shoulders. He looked exactly like the Prince from The story The Knight Prince. She had never seen such a man before. She knew she was wrong to admire him cause she was about to get married but she couldn't help it.

The Man smiled and walked behind them. Reina kept her head high as the guard informed her presence and everyone stood up as a sign of respect.

The maids went to a corner and she was now left alone. She carefully walked to The King and Queen who sat on the Throne. Her father gestured her to seat at the royal bride seat. The seat was made specially for the Couple. She sat nervously and wondered where her Demon groom was.

She looked at the Throne to see her Father smiling. "Guess he was happy marrying me off to the Demon Prince."

She felt awkward getting married to a Man she hadn't seen before. A Man she wasn't in love with.

"Guess all wish made on the shooting star don't come true". She mumbled.

Her eyes were now fixed on her fingers she didn't even know when The Groom made his entry.

She just heard whispers from the crowd and she wondered why.

"I Guess it does." She heard a manly voice beside her.

"What? Who was that? Who dared did that to the Royal Princess" She thought. Just then she turned to her left and she saw the Man from earlier, seated.

She didn't know what to say she just stared at him and looked away. She looked nervously at her hands which were now sweating from nervousness.

"Wait.. was that The Prince Of Samai? Was that The Demon Prince?" She said to herself.

She was shocked cause she had expected him to look like a monster or something related. But not this good-looking.

He looked nothing like what they had described him. He looked so calm. The way he spoke to her earlier on was with respect. Even if he was Royalty.

"Does it mean Xenia was right? My wish came true. If this Man was my Supposed Husband then... "

"Wait. What if he was a relative of the Demon Prince? What if he was here as a representative." She thought.

She knew things like that happened. Where the Brother of the Prince would come in place of him to marry the wife. "What if he had gone to fight a war at his wedding ceremony".

"Was that even possible?" She asked herself.

"I should just sit calm and let things play out the way it wants to." She looked up to the Crowd. All eyes were fixed on the Royal Couple Seat.

"Were they looking at me?" She thought then forced a smile.

"No, they weren't. They were looking at Him." She could see him from her side eye and he was looking at her. She felt the urge to throw up.

Just then her eyes searched for Xenia amongst the crowd. She knew she'd be somewhere around. She saw her, and she was smiling Graciously at the Perfect couple.

She gave Reina a look that said "I told you so" and then she blew her a kiss. That made Reina blush and gave her a look and a smile that said "Thank you".

"You're welcome." Xenia said from afar.

Though Reina couldn't hear her she read her lips. Xenia raised her brows again and that made her let out a light chuckle.

Just then Lorcan turned to her. He traced the direction of where she looked and saw the Friendly Maid that stood at a corner.

Xenia waved at him and he replied with a smile and a slight wave with his hands in the air then she turned around and left.

"*clears throat* Reina" Reina upon seeing that cleared her throat.
