Chapter 10: Tears

"What are you doing?." She struggle to speak.

"I'm only teasing My Wife. Is anything the matter?." Her caressed her neck.

"C..can we go out for a walk. I'm not really sleepy." She sat up .

"You're Shy Wife." He grinned.

"No..I just need some fresh air." She turned her face away.

"Okay, let's go out." He led her out of the palace and they took a walk through the Garden.

Lorcan crossed his hands at his back as he walked with Reina.

They sat at the white swing close by. Lorcan noticed her mood changed.

"Why are you sad? Is it because I hurt you?." He asked.

"No, It's just that I really miss Xenia." She looked down to her hands.

"Would you like her to come here?." He asked.

"Would you make that happen?." Her eyes bubbled up with surprise.

He nodded in response.

"Thank You Your Highness." She hugged him and he kissed her softly on her head.

"I want to show you something." He took her hand and led her to the stable. She spotted a white horse with a golden tail and crest. She hasn't seen a horse with a golden tail and a crest ever before.

It was different from others. It was so beautiful.

"Can I?." She asked with her hand closed to the horse.

"Of course." He blinked.

"It's so soft." She caressed it's back.

"This is mine Her name is Kirah. I found her in a forest when I was still a kid so I took her home and she became my favorite." He explained

"She's special and so beautiful." She smiled.

"Not as beautiful as you are Reina." He stared at her under the moonlight. It shone brightly on her.

She hid her blush and turned back to the Horse caressing it.

"You're beautiful Reina." Lorcan held her chin with his thumb and she was forced to look at him.

"Thank you Your Highness." She smiled back.

"We should go to bed now."

They got to the room and Lorcan carefully closed the door and walked to Reina. He grabbed her waist and pulled her down on the bed with him on top of her. Their bodies were aligned but his weight were held up by his arms on the bed so as not to crush her.

He stared deep into her eyes as if he was lost then he leaned in as if he was about to kiss her. Now she began hearing her heart pounding in her ears.

"I..I'm so tired, you should go to sleep." She lightly pushed him away making him sit on the bed.

He just stared at her for a moment then he left the room.

Reina sat up and watched as he left. She let out a sigh of relief. She sure wasn't going to let him have her, not now. Was he angry?? Why did he leave like that? Where has he gone to?.

She felt sad that she'd have to sleep all alone in the room. She knew he wouldn't come back so she didn't bother to wait for him.

She woke up and turned to the other side of the bed, as expected she didn't see him. She walked to the bathroom and slid into the water.

The maids were already there and they began to bathe her.

She got dressed and walked into the room to see Lorcan almost walking out of the room.

"Your highness." She called and he stopped walking but didn't turn to face her.

"Why aren't you looking at me?." She questioned feeling sad and scared that he might have been angry over what happened last night.

"And why should I look at you?." He turned to face her and he saw the sadness in her eyes.

"Are you angry over what happened last night?." She tried maintaining eye contacts with him but she kept blinking.

"And why should I be?."

"Why did you leave me last night?." She asked.

"I had an important work." He replied straightly.

"You promised not to ever leave me alone at night." She kept a serious face and he knew she was really angry. That was the first time he saw her that way.

"You pushed me away Reina." He said calmly.

"I only went to.." he said when she cut him off.

"Spend a night with Your Mistress." Her voice was really weak. Her eyes were filled with anger. She had never looked at him with such eyes and it hurt him to see her that way.

She frowned and Stormed off to her Personal Chamber.

"Reina? Reina!" He called out her name but she didn't stop till she got to her chamber and slammed her door shut.

She was just so angry how he left her to go be with his Mistress. He didn't even care about how she'd feel about all of this. She was a human it's normal for every being to feel jealous.

She waited for Lorcan to come after her but he never came.

She was still in her room reading a book. it was about time for lunch and Lorcan asked some maids to serve her lunch but she refused to eat.

She just wanted him to say the sorry word. Was that so difficult for him to say?. She refused to eat cause she knew Lorcan wouldn't joke with her health and her come to her but to her surprise he didn't.

It was Evening now and she felt so hungry. She regretted rejecting the food the maid brought to her. She just did that to show Lorcan how angry she was.

She sat close to her window looking at the beautiful sky while resting her head on both her arms. She felt someone standing behind her so she turned her back to see Lorcan. She wondered how long he stood there cause he didn't look like he just came.

He stood looking at her with admiration.

She turned back to look at the sky not minding his presence.

"I was told you refused to eat anything." He stood with a confused face looking at something.

Reina acted like he wasn't there. She didn't want to talk to him.

"I'm talking to you Reina." He said calmly.

"I don't want to talk to you." She replied.

"What is my offense?." He asked looking at her back. Her back was visible cause she wore a V curve gown and it showed her back.

"You know what you did." She said straightly.

"No I don't. I don't know why you're angry with me Wife."

"You left me last night even when you promised you wouldn't." She turned to face him.

"And I said I had work to do." He turned his head staring down at her.

" At night?." She turned to the sky with her back now facing him.

"I didn't like the way you walked out on me Wife." He said with a calm voice waiting for her to speak but she said nothing.

"You don't like me being around you and when I'm not you get upset with me." He continued and she turned to look at him then she immediately looked down to her floor.

"You don't like me. I'm aware of the Bad Scented Oil you applied on your skin to keep me away from you on our Wedding night. The bottle fell out of your night wear that night. I didn't bother asking you about it the next day instead I kept it well for you.

I understand you're not comfortable with me yet cause of the rumors you might have heard about me but have I ever hurt you since you arrived?.

I promised to treat you well and I'll stand by my promise.

You don't like when I touch you. You ain't comfortable staying on the same bed with me, that's why most times I leave the room just so that you'd be comfortable." He said all these things to her and it made her break down. She didn't know she had a caring man as a husband.

What hurt her most was that he knew she applied the oil to keep him away from her but still he wasn't angry. He still took care of her.

"I made a promise to not do anything with you till you're ready to accept us to be one and I meant it. I'll leave you alone to think if you want this and if you don't, I wouldn't force you. I'll be patient till you want me."

Reina's eyes were now teary and tear rolled down her cheek. She couldn't even look at him cause she realized what a terrible wife she's been.

She kept her eyes down to her hands. She didn't want to make the mistake of looking at him.

She didn't know how much he had to endure. He knew about what she did, still he wasn't angry about it but here she was angry with him for no just reason.

"I'll leave you now but before I do, someone is here to see you." He gave way for her to walk in.

Reina slowly lifted her head up to see...Xenia!

Lorcan walked out of the room leaving them alone.

"Xenia!" She went to hug her and she cried the more.

"Reina". She rubbed her back with her hand to calm her down

"Xe..enia." She sobbed hugging her more tight .

"Hey what's wrong? Did he hurt you?." She asked looking at her face that was now wet from tears.

She told her everything and Xenia tried to calm her down.

"He knew all this while and he said no word to me and I got angry at him for no reason.

He wants to stay far from me till I get to accept him as my husband." She cried.

"It's okay.. he was patient and he still is. He just wants you to understand that he cares for you and it must have hurt him to see His Wife being scared of him.

I understand. If I were in your place I would do the same thing. It's not entirely your fault. It's the rumors we all heard."

"Don't worry, he wouldn't stop caring okay?. He's promised to take care of you and he will. He's such a good man Reina, you're lucky."

"Just try to see some good in him, forget about the rumors cause they were just rumors and nothing else. People lie Reina, we can't completely believe them." She smiled.

"Thank you Xenia, you're here just in time." She wiped the tear off her face and took a deep breathe.

"Anyways he sent a Carriage to get me here." She told her everything she experienced on her way to Samai Kingdom.
