Philips vs Paul Pt3

Jeffrey was about to run towards Luckas tent when Paul started his attacks again, the battle between him and Philips had gotten to another level, just the pressure and aftershock of his attack made Jeffrey fly away.

-" What we should do? We need to help him" Byrth was desperate, If Luckas stayed there he would surely die.

-" Fuck, If we go any closer who is going to die is us." Jeffrey's face darkened as he realized how bad the situation was. " HEY UNCLE!, UNCLE! LUCKAS IS STILL IN HIS TENT." Jeffrey started to scream desperately trying to get Philips's attention, Byrth followed Jeffrey's action too and began to scream.

Philips was in the middle of blocking Paul's claws when he noticed Jeffrey and Byrth far away from him. The moment he heard the screams he frowned, but what made him worry even more was that Paul too heard the screams.

-" Oh, who is this Luckas? He must be important for your nephew to be desperate." Paul had a large grin on his face, just moments before they were attacking his two weakest disciples. " Is he still in the camp? Which tent is he in? Well, it doesn't really matter." In the sting of Paul's tail, a crimson flame lit up.

Philips's worry was clear from the look in his eyes, he tried to stop Paul, but, before he could reach him, Paul swept his tail, throwing the flame on its sting towards the camp, the flame grew large and large and engulfed the entire camp.

Philips knew that Luckas was doomed, the vitality consuming fire was one of the Heigong strongest attacks, cultivators of lower ranks had to sacrifice a part of their vital essence using a spell called "Incantation of Hell" to summon the flames, and they didn't have any control of the fire, but, a cultivator of the Rebirth Stage or higher was different, they didn't need to sacrifice their vital essence, had absolute control over the flames, and could cast it without the Incantation of Hell.

What made Philips even more worried was that the vitality-consuming fire of a higher level cultivator was directly linked to their vitality, which meant that the flame would only be extinguished when the vital essence of the caster was completely drained.

Philips dashed towards Luckas tent, the only way to save Luckas was to take him away from the fire. As Philips moved Paul followed him, he raised his hand, and thousand of blood tridents appeared in the sky.

Philips frowned as he saw Paul attack, he stopped his dash and slashed his spear towards them. - " White Deer Arts, Heavenly Clearing Slash!" Philips's slash conjured an image of a deer dashing, which covered the entire sky blocking the path of the tridents.

Jeffrey took Byrth forcibly away, if they stayed any longer he feared that they would be caught up in the aftershock of the battle. Byrth tried to resist, but Jeffrey didn't let him go. -" Hey Luckas is still there, let me go."

-" Are you trying to kill yourself? Luckas only hope is Philips." Jeffrey's head throbbed as he run away. " If are only burdens to Philips right now, we should take distance and wait."

Byrth keep complaining the whole time, so when they arrived where Cyl and the soldiers took refuge he threw him on the ground.

-" Luckas is still there? How is the situation?" Cyl looked pale, the formation took a heavy toll on him.

-" Not looking too good, I think Luckas never left the tent, and the Heigong elder is currently aiming to destroy the camp." Jeffrey closed his eyes as he finally could relax.

Cyl didn't say anything more after that, he looked with worry towards Byrth and sat down too. The group sat in silence until they heard someone approaching them. Everyone was alerted as Noah arrived.

-" Hey, let's go, Elias needs help. they are surrounded by demonic beasts and Heigong cultivators, if we arrive any later it may be too late." Noah noticed that Jeffrey and Cyl were anguished but he didn't mind it.

-" Why should we help you guys? One of us is still trapped in the camp" Byrth was the first one to speak, he looked nervous and on edge.

-" Are you guys really letting the Heigong wipe us out? Madeline is there you know, she is the granddaughter of the Leader of the Eternal Sun Sect." Noah shocked everyone.

Her background shocked everyone, especially Byrth who meet her some time ago, she never told him about her family and dodge his questions about how she joined the Eternal Sun Sect, he finally understood why.

-" Why is she here?" The new information made Jeffrey frown, if a direct descendant of the Leader of the Eternal Sun Sect was there, they need to help them.

-" You will need to ask the Leader himself, he was the one who gave the order for her to come.

-" Cyl, can you use the formation again?" Jeffrey got up and prepared to move with Noah.

-" Yes, but not for a long time." Cyl had a somber face, he thought that Byrth was going to cause trouble again.

-" Byrth we need to go —" Before Jeffrey could finish Byrth interjected. -" You guys can go without me, I'm going to wait for Luckas."

Jeffrey nodded as Byrth easily accepted their departure, he was worried about him too, yet, he knew that staying here may be safer than going with them. They didn't have a lot of information about the Heigong forces, but, they for sure had people at the level of Philips and Paul there too.

Before departing, Jeffrey looked worried in the direction of the camp. Luckas fate was out of their hands, only his uncle could do something about it, this left a bitter taste in Jeffrey's mouth as he felt that he had failed Luckas.

He shook his head and clenched his teeth, he couldn't let the granddaughter of the Eternal Sun Sect Leader die without helping them, as he feared that this would strain their relationship.
