Amber's story

my name is Amber Whitlock,I came from an average family in los Angeles. My father was a taxi driver and he died when I was a young girl ,so it's just i and my mom.we were faced with financial problem after his death.

my mom started working as a waitress and I studied hard to get a scholarship to the Harvard college. I graduated from high school and got a scholarship.Years passed and I was in my last year in college when my mom fell ill,I couldn't graduate from college because I had to take Care of my mom.I took over her waitress job to get money for her medicines.

on a sunny day just like any other days I was in the restaurant doing my usual work,I was busy clearing the table's when one of the waiter's start yelling for help " help her she's choking" a woman was sitting at her table choking on her lunch,the whole restaurant began a chaos,"oh no" I yelled dropping the bowl of plates I was holding.I ran towards the woman,stood behind her,I joined my hand around her tummy and formed a fist,started pulling my hands sharply inwards and upwards for about five time,gave her a few sharp blows between her shoulder blades before she split out what she was choking on.

"Here have some water" I said handing her a glass of water ( gulps) she drank the water and looked at me.

" what's your name girl" she said

"Amber...Amber Whitlock"..I replied,

"thank you for saving my life,how can I ever repay the favor"...she asked with a smiling face.

"oh,no ma'am it's okay,I'm just glad you're okay".

But she insisted on repaying the favor and collected my phone number before she left.
