Comparing my stats when I was level 1, this guy's is relatively high spec, especially to Sir Stervin and the Waitress who are ordinary people.

So this guy is perhaps a strong warrior in this world. I can defeat him easily by fighting him but that will be no fun. Perhaps, I shall get some intel from him first.

"So Sir Garfurd is it? Why the hostility? I'm just a student who wants some knowledge."

"Stop playing dumb, I sense something off with you. You feel no different than the monsters in the dungeon. Your human disguise is pretty good." His eyes are firm, especially, his sword is aimed at me.

Sharp people are pain in the ass but I can tell this guy is experienced that one look, he is sure that I'm a threat. "Hypothetically, let's say I am a monster. How would that make me your enemy?"

Garfurd snickers with a grunt, "killing monsters is a sport for Knights."

"I see, but should we really fight here? I don't want to ruin the peace of this place."

Garfurd is still firm but he sighs and sheathes his blade back. "That's true. Nothing good will come out if we fight here. Let's have a truce for now and regarding your question, it would make me feel more at ease if you show me your true form here. I'd prefer to not slay someone who looks like a teenager."

I laugh at what he says, "well, this is my true form. I am a human after all. Well, a lot of things just happened. I can still feel adoration and stuff, especially to a certain someone." I say thinking about Myla.

"Your love interest perhaps?" Garfurd blurts out of nowhere.

Hearing it, causes me to blush and say, "uh no, I'm worthy enough to see her as a love interest. We are just friends. Unlike me, she is kind and strong. She doesn't back down on any challenge no matter how hard."

After hearing it, Garfurd puts his guard down and laughs loudly. "Hahaha, I thought I had to worry around you. Turns out you are just another teenager. I don't know what you have went through but for a human to become a monster, you must have went through a lot."

I scratch my head with a response. "I see."

So humans in this world can also become monsters, huh? Interesting.

Garfurd's eyes fall to the floor as though recalling something sad. "You know kid, you remind me of a one girl. A human who became a monster. Circumstances like that can happen. The church and the royalty were somehow displeased of this person since she was found on some holy book that would bring this kingdom down. Well, seeing things turned out that way, they are not probably wrong but-- I wasn't blind. That girl was just like any other girl. She was kind. She was just not given a chance by the circumstance she was in. You can say she was just unfortunate."

Hearing it from Garfurd somehow resonates with me. I lower my head since I feel bad for that person.

"Do you know this person?"

"Hmm not much, but my student and her associates kinda hates her. Well, there are some drama going on between them but she is our enemy now.."

"What kind of person is she?"

"I heard a lot of her from the librarian. She was said to be kind, gentle, sweet and when things gets tough, she is fierce, strong and had an unwavering determination."

I smile gently after hearing it. "It reminds me of someone I know. Someone who I wish to meet someday."

I'm not sure about the details but that person must have suffered a lot under the discimination. I hope Myla is not on a similar situation.

"We'll settle this duel after we go outside. So what do you say? I feel bad doing it on someone like you but I feel I have to do my duty." Says Garfurd.

"That won't be necessary." My eyes look serious causing him to get surprised, it's as if he just sees me becoming a different person.

In a blink of an eye, I appear before him within armsreach. I chop his neck hastily causing him to collapse on my arm. I create a clone and have it hold him.

"I had a nice talk with you sir Garfurd, but I can't waste my time with you."

After my clone left with Garfurd, the entire library is up to me to use. I smile seeing the large asset of books in this temple. However, there's no way I'm gonna read everything.

I create several clones amounting to about 300 and have them scour every shelf. I let them read each page.

...]

I forgot that for every knowledge learned, I will gain +1 Wisdom. Currently, my wisdom is around 2458. It's the lowest since I have no means to increase it except by stat points from leveling up. It's all thanks to my [Jungle Scholar] title that I gained back in the dungeon that allows me to train my stats. It was pretty useful.

Also, the knowledge my clones are reading are flowing to my mind. Including the status of this world. This world is called Gravilus. Unlike planet earth, this world is flat.

We are on a specific realm called the Munren where humans dwell.

In munren, we are in the continent called Groundwell which is divided into five region. The northern region which is dominated by several countries like the Kingdom of Aren and the Mezo theocracy.

The Mezo theocracy is also divided into two districts, the Upper District and the Lower District. The Upper district is where the Heaven's District is found. The most elevated place in this world and that is where the Northern Overlord resides along with the 12 Saint Guardians, said to be the greatest warriors who are at the pinnacle. The Lower District is where the church of light council resides, ruled by the council of pope and the bishops.

Regardless, not much else to say about north except that it is dominated by humans due its human supremacy values.

The eastern and western region doesn't have any well-established countries since the countries in these regions fell many years ago.

The east is dominated by forest and rocky terrains. About half of the monsters in this continent are also found in this region.

The west used to be in constant warzone between various powerful countries. They used to be the superpower of this continent but annihilated themselves when the Western Overlord, Kurver as its overseer was sealed by the church.

The south is occupied by diverse races and are more liberal in nature, such as humans, demi-humans, beastmen, ground elves, and other minor races. Tensions are high due to discriminations and prejudices. However, they rarely go to war and settle things diplomatically.

The south worshipped Melanie, the Vanquisher who is said to be the bringer of peace, while the north claim that she will only bring chaos. However, she was said to have disappeared one day mysteriously. Some say she is hiding while some say she is dead.

Hmm, how should I tell this to Levia? At least, she isn't dead so there might be a chance. If we are going to find her, I guess the south is the go-to region.

However, now is not the time. I feel like there are still many things that we should do.

Regardless, thinking about it, I will eliminate the western and southern overlord for now. The biggest threat I have is the Northern Overlord and the church.

I'm not sure how powerful Jerome is but when I fought Sagus his skills were otherwordly. So I can assume he is as strong or maybe even stronger.

If their influence and networks are wide on the northern hemisphere, how would they react if I expose myself to the world?

No doubt he will feel threatened of my presence since he may have been ruling this world without a competition.

Perhaps, I shall stay lowkey for now and gather information.

It might be good if I have certain followers or people under me. It will make my plans a bit easier to carry out.

Silver Claw Clan

[Macdelver]

The Silver Claw Clan warriors have a way to pass through the forests and the eastern region undetected. We use the ancient tunnels found underground for our movements.

I am Macdelver, I may be old but I am strong that I had this important duty from Minnerva. That is to be a spy on the village while relaying information to the resistance camp. Unfortunately, I can't believe what I heard. Just this morning, the resistance camp got annihilated because an Apostle joined. As the rumors say, their abilities are monstrous.

Right now, I'm leaping on the branch to the other, whizzing through the forest alone. I split off from my group. I'm going to Minnerva's direction and check how is she doing. This might be reckless for my job but what's the point if she is dead?

"Oopsie there old man."

Hearing that voice, I stop on a branch and listen to my surroundings. That voice is no other than Carnik. That annoying bastard.

Carnik reveals himself from a tree. There are others as well following behind him, his grunts.

"What are you doing old man? Trying sneak from the group? We have a job, and you are going on the wrong direction."

Did he notice that I split off?

I force a chuckle, while saying playfully. "Is that so? I may have gotten too old that I didn't notice it was on the other direction. Haha."

He throw a kunai, passing on my cheek and landing on the trunk beside me.

"Don't play dumb old man. I know you are going to that traitor Minnerva. I know you are still loyal to those losers. Everyone here knows that you are close with her since she was still a kid."

"That's not true. My loyalty is to the clan."

Carnik grunts, "hmmph, whatever. Someday, one wrong step and I'll get your ass." He warns with a dangerous look.

I'm annoyed but I have no choice. I have to return with the main group. After turning around I leap out.

[Carnik]

Runaway you senile old man! It's pointless we already know that you are a traitor. It's only a matter of time.

I just need a good evidence and I will be the one to kill your old ass.

[MacDelver]

I manage to catch up with the group and they are found on the borders of Hertfil, scouting. They managed to find that the adventurers, conveniently, were all sleeping on the streets.

The Silver Clan are pleased with this news. The adventurers are their number one deterrent after all. As for me, I believe in Minnerva's ideology. The clan's activity under the Neo-Infitius will only give us werewolves a bad name. Regardless, I have to do something and tell Minnerve, but--

I'm under Carnik's radar. I have to shake him off but it's only a matter of time before I'm found out.

Right now, the Silver clan is cheering. "This is the will of the great Infitius!"

"The adventurer are all ours!"

"Take them lads!"

They begin leaving the woods and inflitrate Hertfil. The defenseless adventurers are being tied with a rope and put into a cage. Some of them begin transforming into a werewolf.

In our werewolf form, our strength, stats and lot of things are greatly increased.

The cage with wheels is being lifted by a werewolf as though its nothing towards the underground. They are using the passage, to navigate to the village, since the passage have smooth roads.

Regardless, I can't believe it's this easy. Capturing civilians was one thing but to capture an adventurer took at least 10 men, who knows if that adventurer is strong it might even take 30.

It's only a matter of time before they capture every adventurer in this Fort.

But I feel bad for these adventurers. This has gone too far!

Someone needs to stop this madness!
