The Chain Quest II (Part 5)
A group of eleven individuals had been dispatched to the Slums by order of the King. The group consisted of four physicians, six herbalists, and one alchemist who was leading the expedition. There were also a few servants in attendance. Despite his best efforts, Rasial had been unable to recruit more alchemists for the mission. His attempts had been met with resistance as no one was willing to join an expedition that could result in death. Even the alchemist families, who were nobles, declined to participate. With little hope left, Rasial could only pray that the skills of the eleven individuals would be enough to cure the virus that plagued the Slums.
Upon arriving at a location to rest, the group disembarked from their wooden carriage and settled near a cozy fireplace. While in a corner, Rasial and Han engaged in a private conversation.
"How is it?" Rasial asked worriedly.
"They're pretty mischievous, but I can ignore that", Han replied awkwardly.
