Chapter 52 - Good Bye

"where are we going?" Lauren ask for the hundredth time and Jihye was just giggling. It's been two days now and this is the time wherein Ben will finally show up to her daughter.

Ben said to Jihye to just bring Lauren uphill. A nice grass and a nice hill where the weather was so warm but also windy. Lauren was wearing a floral dress.

"Jihye, are you gonna kill me or something?" She asked in a worried tone while Jihye laugh and sigh when the rich the uphill "Wow, it's so pretty" She says while closing her eyes and Jihye was just looking at her worried about what will she think and how will she react.

"Pretty right?" Lauren nodded and held Jihye's hands tightly while Jihye kiss the back of it and held Lauren close to her body. She looked at her time and there's still two hours before Ben will vanish already. She looked around and she already saw him standing a bit far away from them. He nodded and Jihye sighed gazing at her wife again.

"Honey, I want you to meet someone special" Lauren looked at Jihye and she smiled

"How special?" She asked

"So special, he's important to your life. I know you want to meet Ben, right?" Lauren nodded and grip her wife's hand, Jihye felt that her wife is tense and she kissed the top of her head "I know you want to meet him and I want him to explain to you how you end up having an accident"

"H-how? Is he here?" Just then Ben was behind her daughter

"Hey," he says while Lauren turned around quickly while her breath hitched seeing her father. He ain't a spirit but he's like a real person like her, like her wife. He was wearing a formal outfit which Jihye knows is the outfit that he wore when he was in the casket. Leslie showed it to her.

"B-ben? I-I thought your Dead?" Lauren asked shakily, Ben chuckled and hold her daughter's hand

"I am Dead but my Angel beside me that she will give me a chance to be a real person for two hours" Lauren frowned

"Angel? Where is she?" She asked

"Well, you couldn't see her but she's telling me that you're beautiful" Lauren blushed and slightly bowed "So, Uhm. Jihye, I'll borrow her if you don't mind" Jihye nodded and smile at her wife

"Enjoy alright?" Jihye says to her wife

"Okay, I love you" Lauren answered while Jihye lick her lips

"I love you too, I'll meet you both here in one hour" Ben nodded and gaze at Jihye leaving probably going to the near chair to sit and relax or walk with the dogs. Ben looked at her daughter who was looking at him already and he smiled as he offered her arms for her to take. Lauren gladly took it, she was expecting that his hands were warm but it was cold and she knew he is certainly dead.

They walked around quietly and looked around "So? How are you?" Ben asked wanting to remove the awkwardness

"I'm okay, I've already recovered thanks to Jihye and my family. How about you?" She asked back while looking at him

"I'm wonderful. I'm happy" he says

"Good for you, So. You're Benjamin Walton my father I believe?" Lauren instantly asked, there's this urge of her that she wanted to call him Daddy already. She knew it was right. But, she wanted some assurance first.

"I am Benjamin Walton, your father," He says while Lauren and he stopped to face him

"D-daddy?" Lauren says

Ben wiped her tears and hug her tightly, Lauren felt comfortable and she was safe in his arms like Jihye. She hid her face in the crook of his neck and she doesn't know but this is the warmth that she was finding. Ben kiss her daughter's head and rested her cheeks at the crown of her head.

"I miss you so much, Lauren," he says while rubbing her back

"I missed you too. Where have you been? Why didn't you show up when I woke up? I was finding you when Mommy told me about you" She says while pulling out the hug and looking at him, Ben kissed the top of her head and pulled her daughter closer hugging her. Lauren rested in his chest instead.

"I've been looking out of your grandparents and you know I also visit you. Jihye and you couldn't see me because I'm a soul. I was like invisible but I'm always sitting right beside you in your hospital bed and praying to god and the Angel beside me to wake you up" Lauren smiled

"At leastt, I know you're here" Ben nodded "so, Jihye told me that you want to say something about why ended up having an accident" Ben sighed and pulled Lauren on one or bench for them to sit.

"Everything just went in a blur. It was my Angel telling me all this. Three weeks after you got married I'm showing up in your dreams to warn you of everything but you were so confused because you couldn't hear my voice. Until I finally decided to show up and tell you everything..." Lauren's breath hitched, she doesn't know if this is real but Jihye looks also worried when she left. She was scared.

Benjamin told me everything to Lauren first with Dowon wherein he got shot because of Liam and the second is Ara wherein she got sexually assaulted and the third and final one is the accident. Ben gave a lot of information to the people who tried to hurt her and Lauren couldn't believe it.

"Liam was your ex-boyfriend back then but he just used you for money so you decided to break everything between the two of you, while Ara is Jihye's best friend. Your wife was so overprotective towards you when the thing happen and she was mad but at the end of the day, you just decided to move on" Lauren hummed and looked at the view. She doesn't know that this kind of thing happened to her and how in the world Jihye decided to stay with her even though she's feeling like she's bad for her but Ben told her that she wasn't. She's into her and nothing's gonna change that.

They ended up moving on from that, Ben explained everything, their conversation also ended up teasing and making everything up before Ben's leave. One hour had passed they came back to the same spot where Jihye took her wife.

Jihye was now standing there smiling at both of them, Lauren smiled back and looked at her father while they were walking on the hill. She badly wants to see the Angel and tell some things. Once they arrived ll.

"All done?" She asked holding the leash of the three dogs, Lei and Liz wanted to come close to Ben and he smiled patting their heads

"Hi there, Oh my. You guys are muscular" He says while her daughter and daughter in law chuckled

"Yes, they have been fit because of their tri training andd andd. We also give them healthy diets" Ben smiled

"Well, that's good. Lei and Liz, are my daughter's guardian angels now. These are my favorite dog and I decided to buy them for you so you will always remember that this dog is like me because I'm muscular" Lauren laughed at her father'silliness. She's remembering things when it comes to him. Ben stood up and he looked at the time

"Ten minutes," He says to the married couple

Lauren sigh sadly, she knows that her father will vanish. She's already planning to tell that she's pregnant since Jihye doesn't know yet either. She was surprised and sad. Surprised and Happy because her father was here and sad because he's gonna leave permanently not in the country. But in the world. But, she has to accept it. He died because of cancer and all she wants to say is 'Fuck Cancer'

When she was talking with Ben a while ago, she has a lot of flashbacks the good ones. She could tell that her father was a good joker and nothing's gonna change it. Ben will always be her father, he will always be. Ben is her first Man in her life.

"Daddy?" Ben hummed and looked at her daughter "Can I request something?" She asked

"What is it?" He asked smiling

"Uhm, if you could tell r Guardian Angel to show up in front of me will you?" Lauren mumbled, Ben, smiled and looked down at his side nodding at something. Lauren and Jihye were just looking at them. Just then a white small tornado came and it went in front of Lauren. Her eyes are widened and she was gripping her wife's hand but a little girl came in front of her. She is indeed an Angel.

"Hi, Lauren," she says while Lauren looked at Jihye and she smiled. She kneeled ach her level and hold her hands.

"Is this okay?" She asked about their hands, she nodded and gave her a gummy smile "Uhm, I know we just met today but I know this is too much to ask for but take care of my father alright? I know I've met him when I was a kid and he took care of me but when I went into the accident my memories just vanished and I couldn't remember anything"

"Oh, don't worry. Ben and I are best buddies. We make fun of each other" Lauren chuckled so is Jihye

"That's good but I want him to remember me whenever he's with you" Lauren pulled her hands out from the Angel and remove her bracelet. It was her second favorite one but she could buy another one. She gestured the girl to give her right hand to put it on her wrist, she looks at her Dad and he smiled "Daddy, please look at this whenever you missed me" she says while Ben nodded and gave her the biggest hug and the Angel joined. Ben was looking at the time and fifty seconds before they leave.

"Jihye, please take care of my daughter," Says Ben when there's a stair showing already from above. Lauren knows that this is the time.

"D-daddy, for the last time I want to tell you something," Lauren said quickly, Ben nodded and Lauren gripped her wife's hand "I love you so much"

Ben teared up already and gave her daughter the last hug that she deserves and kiss the top of her head "I love you much much too Please have a happy life alright?"

"I will but I want you and Jihye to know something" The stairs is already near Ben and the Angel

"What is it?" Ben says stepping in the stairs

"I'm...I'm pregnant" Jihye's eyes widened and Ben smiled while the Angel jumped happily giggling and clapping her hands

"I'm so happy for you, please. Bring the baby soon to my grave so I had the chance to see him/her" Lauren nodded and looked at her wife who was tearing up and already holding her still flat tummy

"We will, I love you," Lauren says while Ben was already waving his hand and walking up the stairs. Lauren closed her eyes when Ben and the Angel finally entered. This is the last time.

In a minute, everything just went normal again. The skies went beautiful again and it was like nothing happened, she faced Jihye.

"Your pregnant?" She asked holding the tummy

"I am, Are you happy?" Lauren asked back

"Yes, I am. You don't even know" Lauren sighed happily and give her a kiss and a hug

"I will take care of you. The both of you. We will finally have a peaceful life" Jihye mumbled

"I love you" Lauren mumbled

"And I love you too. So much" Jihye answered
