Chapter 47 - Again

Lauren was having some breakfast with her family near the Eiffel tower. They just arrived yesterday and they decided to stroll around and her family decided to have breakfast.

Jihye and Jayden were looking for something around the corner and Lauren was curious since they whispering something a while ago so she just decided to shrug it off since she was too busy talking with her mother and father.

Lauren was sitting across them and looking at the view, they decided to order a heavy breakfast since they wanted to have a late lunch later on.

"So, how's your Paris date with Jihye in the past few days?" Her Dad asked while having a bite of his sunny side up egg, Lauren was eating a breadstick

"Well, it was romantic. She took me to a luxurious restaurant even telling me that we usually have a date there when we're still staying in this place" her parents smiled and were so proud of her since she was remembering every bit of it.

"That's good to know, anyway. Jayden likes his school so much that he decided to stay in Korea for one week before going here with you both" she chuckled

"He likes going to school, I remembered when I met him he instantly told me about it. I didn't know that he likes going to school at this early age" Lauren said

"He was just like you, I remembered when you were still at that age you were begging us to go to school. Ben and I had no choice but to let you go and give you the chance, we were observing you ad waiting for you to tell us that you were tired of waking up early and too lazy to do your assignments but you were always excited and always telling us about your day" Lauren was smiling when her Mom was telling that.

She was curious how her father treat her, he wanted to meet him personally and give him the biggest hug but she was always telling herself that he's gone but he's praying to God that maybe, just maybe. Ben will show up to him to give her the hug that she deserves. She also wanted to visit his grave and look at all his pictures but one of the maids told her that all of his pictures were in Los Angeles. Maybe someday, she will ask Jihye to have a trip there and stay there for a good two months.

It was long but she was thinking that two months is good since she felt like she wanted to feel to be in her real hometown, where she grew up and where she used to do the things that she likes. She also wanted to see her huge home.

"That's cool, but I wanted to know how my life went when I was in Los Angeles if you know something about it can you please tell me?" The CEO asked

She was aware that her mother wasn't there while she was growing up, she feels sad about it but she wanted to shrug everything off now that she was also the one looking after her.

"Well, Your Grandma M and Grandpa P was always about telling me about your whereabouts, they were telling me that you are so focused on your school while you were also taking care of your father, you know being the Unica Hija of the Waltons you are like the princess in their lives but you are much more different" Lauren frowned

"What do you mean different?"

"Well, you asked for a favor from your Grandparents. You just don't want to go to school, I remembered how your father always tells you that you will be growing up like him, you will be successful and have a beautiful family which is what you have right now" Lauren hummed while having a bite of her sausage.

Dowon was just listening since he also wanted to know everything, he does not feel envious about it, he's not mad nor jealous. He knows that Lauren isn't a Lee but a Walton and her real father are Benjamin Walton and nothing's gonna change that since all he has was Lauren Walton's mother and it was enough for him.

He understands everything and Leslie was thankful for it. All he needs to do now is to treat Leslie's daughter as her daughter and he was doing his best because he knew how much Lauren was for a father figure and she finally found it. He knew that she was happy around him and he promised himself that he won't allow someone to hurt Benjamin's daughter especially to be in a dangerous accident again because he promised Ben. He promised that he will protect the Unica Hija at all costs.

"You asked them if they could teach you to do chores, especially laundry, cooking, and washing the dishes. Your childhood is different from the others teenagers usually go to the bar, slack in college, have a love life, go on an adventure, sneak out in his/her room to see their friends or either way just stay at home doing nothing but to lay down" Lauren smiled, she was curious if up until now some teenagers are still doing it.

She was asking herself, how does it feel to be a teenager again? Jihye was just asking her a few days ago and here she is asking herself and wanted some answers.

"Well, you. You are staying at home since you have a lesson with your Grandparents teaching you how to do chores especially cooking and your reason is that you wanted to know everything as early as possible so you know how to handle things when you get married. To be honest, your teenage years are something that I want to experience but I was happy since you didn't grow up slacking everything especially your education. You're a wise girl and that's why people adore and love you so much" Leslie muttered while smiling at her daughter.

"At the end of the day, your grandparents were shocked seeing you gardening, doing pottery and you know all the things you love in the past like dancing, modeling, and singing. You were born with a lot of talents and you inherit it with your father" Lauren smiled at the thought, now. All she needs to do is to book a flight to Los Angeles and visit him.

"I didn't know that I was that talented" She mumbled while looking at her Mother

"Well, that's why a lot of businessmen are trying to have your hands in marriage. You know you will marry their sons but Ben and I have already talked to Chahee about it. You married Jihye not because of us but you married her because we knew that you both are meant to be together" I blink rapidly remembering all the movies that I've been watching.

Parents are the most important thing in life and we know all their decisions for you will be good because they know what's the best.

Lauren was confused why in the world her wife and son hasn't come back to the place where they eat breakfast. She tried to contact them but Jihye doesn't have any signal so they decided to go home and the CEO just leave a text to her wife.

She was in her room looking at her phone, hopeful that her wife will call or text back but it has been thirty minutes already and she's getting worried. She sigh and decided to go downstairs.

She was again wearing her wife's hoodie and sweats. She went straight to the kitchen where her Mom and mother in law was talking in the Kitchen Island

"Mom?" Lauren called Chahee

"Yes, sweetie?" She answered

"By any chance, have you received a text from Jihye? I was waiting for her a while ago with Jayden but they didn't come" Lauren mumbled while sitting beside her Mother

"Oh.." Chahee looked at her phone while furrowing her brows "I haven't received one yet, Sweetie. Where did that crackhead go?" Lauren couldn't help but giggle hearing her mother in law calling Jihye a crackhead

Chahee tried to call her and even called out being ho to text his daughter. Leslie also tried to call Jihye probably worried since her son was with her.

Lauren decided to hang out in the living room wanting to not worry that much, not overthinking that something happened to her wife and son. She decided to watch some french movies. Kai and Krystal just got home a little while they also tried calling Jihye but there's no answer.

Lauren sigh and lay in the hands of the couch, she closed her eyes and tried to think what in the hell she said to Jihye that she will just disappear in a ton of minutes.

She sat up when she heard a bump on the front door, Lei and Liz came into the living giving her some licks on the office causing her to giggle.

"Babies, did you know where your Dada went?" She asked the big dogs while they tilt their head when they heard the word 'Dada' Once again she heard the bump again and she furrowed her brows. Her parents and Jihye's parents were in the garden hanging out and still trying to call Jihye.

Lauren decided to go to the front door and check who it was. The dogs followed her from behind and she heard small feet running down the stairs and it was Kum.

She was worried, what if this was an intruder? Though they have guards outside, she was still scared. So, she decided to get the baseball bat that was hanging in the wall and hold it resting it on her shoulder. She opened the door and was about to swing the bat when...

"Honey! For god sake! Don't swing that right in front of my face"

"Mommy! No!"

Lauren instantly opened her eyes seeing her wife and son closing their eyes and covering their heads using their arms. The CEO sigh in relief and rested her shoulder in the doorway.

"Jesus! Where the hell did you two go?! Do you know how worried I was?! I was waiting for you both in the restaurant with my parents even ordered some breakfast with you both but you didn't come!" Lauren ranted while looking at her wife and son who was now gulping, they weren't answering probably scared. Lauren keeps ranting about it when Jihye was so done and tried to stop her by kissing her on the lips which Lauren instantly shut up and Jayden giggled covering his eyes.

The kiss was passionate but it lasted for like seconds already, Jihye cups her cheek and rested her forehead on her wife's forehead.

"I'm so sorry, I mean we're sorry. Jayden and I went to buy something for you in the near store but it was still close so we decided to roam around the city instead until we find the one that we like to give you" Lauren furrowed her brows and looked around seeing nothing but the beautiful view outside their house.

"What thing?" She asked curiously while her brows were furrowed and looking at her son grinning at her.

"Well, it's not big. You can't see it but I've been planning on it for almost two weeks" Lauren nodded and Jihye gestured to Jayden to get something from the car.

Jihye breathed in and out while she took out something from her pocket while she kneel and Lauren widened her eyes.

This is familiar. So familiar.
