" was I out too long? " jasper asked with a faint voice.

Alex breathed in relief " No, baby. Just for a while." He brushed his bangs fondly. "some tests were run on you. I'll be back soon, after checking the results. Rest for a while then we can go home, Alright? " Alex kissed jas forehead before leaving the room.

Jas was simply staring at the ceiling his body was in obvious pain. Hitting that damn floor heavily was not at all helping him.  His mind was a little hazy, he was feeling nothing but gloomy all over like he didn't even want to get off the bed. To add even more to his miserable state, Alex left him to all himself. This silence doesn't seem to get along with his mindset, only filling him with painful loneliness. He closed his eyes to at least get mercy from sleep, but even that seems to leave him behind to let alone to tackle with a void of any distraction.

Alex's knuckles met the cold door twice, before opening it. There sat a man in his forties, wearing a white coat examining the report intently. He raised his eyes to see Alex before nodding him to take a seat. Clearing his throat the doctor begins, " I'm sorry Mr. Alex, we don't have many facilities to conduct a certain examination on the patient. I can only tell that he was suffering from an imbalance of pheromones and he needs pheromone grooming from his alpha. " 

Alex didn't seem to budge much, like he already expected this " it's okay, thank you for treating him at the time doctor. Im already informed about this by my personal doctor, so I would like to discharge him". He rested his elbows on the table leaning forward, " But may I get something detail about that pheromones imbalance? "

Being a general doctor he is, the doctor was hesitant to talk because he was not well versed in that topic. " Actually, this I don't know, I just know his pheromones were imbalance but he was not marked so I was confused without marking partner most omega's don't have imbalance disorder but if they have the disorder, it will surely be detected from the start of their first heat cycle. The imbalance happens when a marked Omega's alpha was not near him or they don't have much contact, the omega have to expose to their alphas scent"

Alex's face was null of any expression. He took a deep breath, walked out of the room after thanking the doctor.

He knows what happened to jasper now.

He was not marked and doesn't have the disorder from the start. so it can be explained easily.

It was because of him.

  He was his alpha, his fated pair. He was not near him for a week maybe that's why he was affected, he needed his pheromones and his mark to gain his stability. They were different from the normal pair so this will be the only explanation. The doctor might not be considered this option of them being fated pair.

He opened the door to Jasper's room. The clicking sound was enough for jas to flutter open his eyes. Behind Alex was a nurse who came forward to remove the IV needle and settled their check out. 

Alex carried jas in bridal style without saying much and got him into his car, and his driver he called earlier was already there and start his engine ready to drive.

" To my apartment " 

The driver nodded and drove silently. Jas was placed in Alex's lap the entire way even though he was groggy and his mind was not clear enough from the fatigue he can guess just by sniffing his alphas guilty like pheromones. 

He looked up and cupped the chin of his alpha and pressed his lip for a long while without further movements then distances himself from him to view his entire face. 

" I don't like your face " jas cursed under his breath for sounding this feeble.

 Alex went stiff for a moment before a gentle smile enveloped his lips. " mhm? last time I checked, I was as good-looking as ever, even agreed by the one in my arms. "

Jas raised his eyebrows " by who? don't make me laugh and you're too full of yourself. Do you know what is handsomeness? " 

Alex cocks his brows to his question, like what is handsome? 

" This " jas pointed his finger at himself.

Alex rolled his eyes affectionately, slowly enunciated every word "It's not, you're a pretty, cute, beautiful, gentle little boy who was liked by me, this handsome man ''

'' I'm handsome a..and pretty too " he pouted.

"of course, and I will always smile when I'm with you'' he just accepted his words and replied warmly.

" hm, then why is that 'my Titanic has already drowned' expression on your face? " 

Sigh " of course if my omega is hurt, wouldn't I be sad. who won't, tell me? " 

" what? I just fainted it's nothing serious. if you look like that I too will hurt. Do you want me to be hurt " jas knows well if he says like that his alpha would sure spill everything instead of seeing him hurt?

" it's..." 

" it's? " 

He sighed " it's because you're hurt, coz by me, your pheromones were imbalanced because I'm not with you. we don't mark yet and because we're fated mates, it's like our souls were calling for each other and ask to devour each other. it's been a week since we met but there's not much contact, because you're an omega you are weak than me. so it affected you first and after I too will yearn for you. I thought we can take it slow in this relationship and know each other before anything but now I think it's best to take the next step what do you say. And I just said the theories based on my own assumptions. I can't be sure. " He breathed deeply.

Jas just laid his head on the latter's chest, feeling his rapid heartbeat" Don't be like that, we agreed together, that we're taking it slow. Not like you forced me or I forced you. If we can't take it shows there's nothing we can do. We will understand and know each other on the way in this process anyway and about the next step. What do you think it is? I'm ready for anything. haa I'm going to be rich soon " jas chuckled at the last sentence.

Alex too chuckled softly, " Are you that happy, now you are going to be rich? " 

" of course " without hesitation, confidently he replied. 

" well then, I will work hard and make more money for you " he tightened his hold on the jas and rested his chin above Jasper's head making him stay still. Jasper too stayed still and further leaned to his embrace. They entwined their fingers and basked in each other warmth.

The next step was still in the question neither of them answered. 

They arrived at Alex's apartment in the meantime. Alex still carried him to his place and jas was just happy to be treated like this. 

This is the first time Jas stepped into his personal space. It made him feel happy and reassured. The whole place was reeking his alphas pheromones, everywhere. 

Seeing Jasper sniffing around " even if I stayed with my parents when work ends late or I don't feel like going home. This will be the home for me " 

Jas just nodded and was carried to his bedroom when he sensed a peculiar scent from the next room which is slightly cracked open. This is a alpha smell, he's sure, and why it has to be here? Maybe friends but inwardly he was not convinced then he remembered something. he furrowed his brows.

Catching the angry vibes emitting from his Omega, Alex too caught the other scent, remembered that thing, and mentally slapped himself.

" I'm sorry, after the break up I forget to clean the house, please don't be angry," he awkwardly said.

jas knows everything he made sure to calm himself and replied " clean that room, not you, by others " 

Alex nodded obediently. He placed his omega on his soft mattress, He informed that he doesn't bring Faye to his personal bedroom. 

" I already called the doctor he will arrive any minute, I'll cook something for you before." 

" doctor? again? " 

" Ah, that one is the general hospital, now the one that coming is omega specialist he's my friend " 

jas just closed his eyes after hearing him explain. after sniffing that alpha smell he doesn't have the mindset to care for anything. Confirming that Alex went to Kitchen, he slowly raised his body feeling unsettled, and leaned against the headboard.

He released his choco milk pheromones devouring everything on his way and mixing his scent with his alphas fresh cool musky scent and feels like he was now sitting in the depth of the ever-mysterious forest, drinking the green scenery in front of him. 

The two smells were drastically different like heaven and earth but they blended perfectly like made for each other. There's no displeasure of the mixed scents only immense comfort.

By the time Alex finished cooking rice porridge, he caught a whiff of his omegas pheromones in the air. He placed the bowl in a tray and ladled the porridge before coming out of the kitchen. He walked straight into the bedroom and found his omegas nowhere to be seen.

He hastily places the tray beside the bed and decided to go find jas. A smile that is full of amusement slowly embraced his lips when he took in the scene. As he opened the door next to his, Jasper was standing in the middle of the room with his arms folded against his chest, concentrating on bubbling his pheromones to wash off the Faye smell.

Alex crept behind him and snakes his arms around his waist, hugging tightly he too released his pheromones to make his omega happy. 

The two without saying anything unleashed their scents making each other happy. jas was not a bit embarrassed by his action, in truth he was happy by marking his territory. 

" I don't know, my omega was jealousy one, can't even wait for a day " Alex kissed his cheek each time he says a word. 

" Then you know now, be careful or else you will be punished " 

" like how, hmm? "

jas turned around tiptoed and captured his lips and traced the other lips with his tongue and invade inside without much difficulty. His tongue dances around and licked every corner, sometimes sucking, sometimes nibbling, sometimes fast, and sometimes slow. At the end of the kiss jas bite Alex's lower lips. 

Alex hisses in pain and blood drops can be seen which was soon licked by jas. 

" like this " 

" My baby is ferocious, I have to be careful " even in pain Alex chuckled. 

" okay it's enough, come and eat, baby  " 

Even after spreading his pheromones he's still jealous but after seeing Alex come and his scent covering him he relaxed  " okay " he waved his hands. 

He sat on the bed and finished his porridge. 

" is it nice? " Alex eagerly asked, he can't say his cooking was top notch but it's good but he wants that good word from his omega.

jas raised his eyes smirking " so-so "

Alex's face drooped. 

After few seconds jas giggled " what are you? lost puppy? drooping your head, it's really good. I like it, I was just teasing you for making me jealous " 

Alex carefully asked  " really? " 

" Really!, if you don't trust me then it's your loss" 

" Okay - okay, I'll trust " 

Jas widened his smile and his eyes were crescent " then another bowl for me! " 

Alex jumped off and came with a full bowl of porridge.

He ate delightedly while the latter watched him devouring his work. That's when the doorbell ranged.
