My Chaotic Mob System

Sevarian Rafardi was a 17 year old kid who loved Mob simulators, games where he could play as any mob that he wanted. These games helped passed the time whenever he got out of school and would help put his mind at ease. "Level Up received!" The System Says. "Yes another level!" Sevarian Says with excitement. Levels in these mob games were essential for becoming stronger if you wanted to take down adventurer's. The Uncertain Future

"How could we stop this all, if it's true." I say while laying on the ground.

"You and me can work together to stop it. Forget fighting me, just combine our power and stop them." The Monarch responds.

A bunch of bullshit that I don't need to hear was being said by a version of me that I still didn't understand. Mom died, the world changed, nothing is the same.

Why would I give a shit about some worthless vision that an evil piece of garbage tells me is going to happen.

"Nah, I'm good." I say while forcing my body to move.

The system was offline but my sword was still in my hands so I wasn't going to lay there and take this. My world was taken because of this asshole, screw all of that.

Thump. Thump. My heart was echoing in my head but I didn't want to lay there and die.

"If that's how you really feel Sevarian. I didn't want this to happen so soon. I thought maybe we could've worked together but I was wrong." The Monarch says with disappointment in his voice.

"You and me could never work together." I reply with anger in my voice.

Show him what you can do.

That voice is in my head again but it's not spouting some bullshit this time. I'll show you what I'm capable of without your damn systems.

I slashed my sword down towards the Monarch without any hesitation.

"Heavenly Blow." The Monarch says while staring at me.

Seconds passed by and all I could feel was an extreme amount of pain in my gut. I looked down to see a giant hole within my stomach, blood was dripping onto the ground too.

"I...didn't even see the attack." I stutter to speak while my sword falls to the floor.

Clatter. Clang. Clang.

"You weren't ready for this fight yet Sevarian. Especially without my systems helping you out." The Monarch says while looking up at the sky.

I reached down to the hole in my stomach and slowly began to feel my knees giving out on me. The pain was awful, did I get this far for nothing?

"Nothing about you or what I've seen makes any sense." I manage to say before falling onto the floor.

Blood was piling all around me as I looked at the forest, why did I come here alone?

"Sevarian wake up it's time to go to school!" Mom shouts.

I can hear her voice calling out like good old times. Until I suddenly saw myself in my chair in front of my computer.

--------

I got to get up and get ready for school so I guess it's not time to continue the game just yet. Even though I died at the very end of the quest.

Though it felt like I just died for real? Am I imagining things or was I that immersed in the game to begin with?

Badoop. Boop.

Oh my party is typing something in the chat there.

(Rika): What the hell Kota? You died on us man!

(Onyx): Yeah what were you doing rushing in by yourself man.

Guess I should probably say something back before heading out for school.

(Kotami): Thought I could handle it, my bad guys. I'll be online later on.

∆Kotami has logged off.

I'll just have to do another run later on when I get back home from school but I really am happy with the backstory of my character. Really went through a lot and then I met all these awesome people.

Can't keep mom waiting downstairs though so it's best I get down there.

Creek. The stairs in my house were always creeky when stepping on them.

"Sorry I got caught up in the new game I've been waiting for." I say while taking a seat.

"It's okay Sevarian, I thought you were asleep. You just can't forget about school." Mom replies while bringing a plate of pancakes over.

Always a good way to start off the day since she doesn't always have time to make pancakes. But I quickly ate them before getting ready to head out the door.

"A- Amazing as always mom. Love you." I say after swallowing what was left in my mouth.

Slam! I ran out the door and closed it behind me a little too hard but I didn't want to keep Ashley waiting either.

"About time loser. Were you actually working on homework for once or just gaming like usual?" Ashley asks with a sarcastic tone in her voice.

"Gaming obviously. But I'll get the homework done in class this morning." I respond while looking at the houses around us.

Maybe I did doze off a few times because I swear these all looked like shit and the city was swarming with mobs. All of that just felt so real though. No more grinding without at least a power nap.

"You know you should try talking to that other guy in class." Ashley says without specifying anyone.

"Don't know who you're talking about." I respond with a confused tone as we reach the school.

"Right." She thinks to herself.

Nothing felt right today for some reason but I guess that's what a lack of sleep does to you.

"Did you hear about that game Heroes of Mito Kingdom? Pretty sweet so far." A boy says in the hallway.

"Yeah man I already started grinding it." Another boy replies with excitement in his voice.

I'm pretty content with Mobs of Vinzeld to be honest but it wouldn't hurt to check out the game at some point.

"Though I heard that dropout has already been grinding it. Man he's awesome." Another boy says with awe.

Wish I could remember that guy's name but it'll come to me sooner or later I guess. Off to my first class of the day, hopefully I can get my homework done before Mr. Izuni notices anything.

He definitely wouldn't appreciate me being late with turning in my assignment again.
