Chapter 5

It had been a few weeks without Galaxie's presence, she was gone like a bubble for no reason. It was surprising and suspicious but that was okay to Czeya, because she had a lot of time with Zues, alone. She thought that Galaxie might had been embarrassed by the intoxication she did to Zues, "She just should," Czeya whispered in her mind while her finger was busy clicking on her laptop keyboard. She's fine with no Galaxie sticking with them, no Galaxie will interfere. And she found the true meaning of peace by the disappearance of Galaxie.

In that few weeks, Czeya and her cousin Maxi became closer. Nothing could make those days happier for Czeya. Galaxie's disappearance means happiness to her. "I did not expect that having a day without Galaxie would be so nice! I wish she will be gone for forever." Czeya said to herself as the demon laughed inside her. She was currently doing her work. Her schedule was loaded that day, meaning, she couldn't date Zues only for that day. But Zues promised to pick her up as soon as the duty is over.

On the other hand, Zues was so worried about Galaxie—his best friend—because it was normal for him to worry. He tried to contact her for a couple of days, but the call was always rejected. What he thought of was, maybe his girlfriend and Galaxie had a great war again. Maybe that is the reason of her sudden disappearance. But she shouldn't be gone for too long, aside from being worried about her, Zues also feared about being questioned by his parents about Galaxie's disappearance. Until such time, he couldn't stand his worry anymore. That was why he already decided to go to Galaxie's house.

Without disturbing Czeya, he drove safely to Galaxie's place. He slowly knocked on the door of Galaxie's house when he arrived. It was Galaxie's stepmother who opened the door for him. A smile from the stepmother immediately flashed across Zues. He is known by Galaxie's family, known as a close friend of Galaxie.

Galaxie's stepmother opened the door of the house and wholeheartedly let Zues in. She let him sat down on the sofa and offered him hot chocolate and cookies, "Have a snack first, Zues. I'm glad that you thought of visiting," she said as she headed to the kitchen to get some cookies and heat some water for the hot chocolate.

Zues immediately got up from sitting on the sofa and then shook his head while waving his hand, "I'm still full, aunt. Thank you for your offer of cookies and hot chocolate," he said and then walked towards the stepmother of his best friend, "I actually came here just to ask how Galaxie is," he added.

Galaxie's stepmom was stunned and immediately the sadness became visible on her face, she bowed slightly before saying, "Galaxie is in a hotel now, she hasn't been home for a few days," she told Zues, "I don't know why she suddenly thought of that thing. "

Zues frowned because of Galaxie's stepmom's answer, "Didn't she say anything about why she didn't want to be home?" He asked.

The stepmom just shook her head, "She said nothing," then she turned slightly away from Zues and slowly walked towards the kitchen, "Let me at least give you some water," she said.

Zues nervously returned to sitting on the sofa. Galaxie and Czeya have always been fighting but this is the first time that Galaxie had done this thing. Zues was very surprised and wondered a lot. What could be wrong with Galaxie? He wondered why Galaxie didn't want to show up.

Galaxie's biological mother has passed away, she is the only child of her mom and dad. A few years later, Galaxie's dad met a woman who made his heart beat again, it's none other than Galaxie's stepmother. Galaxie accepted this and hugged her stepmom wholeheartedly. Their relationship was good and they formed a happy family again. Zues was Galaxie's best friend that was why she introduced him to her family. They knew Zues so very well.

"I'm sorry for making you wait," said Galaxie's stepmom who was now holding a glass of water, "Here, take some water," she added as she laid the cold water she had taken for Zues on the mini-table.

No doubt Zues drank that. He then revisited their earlier topic, "Do you have any suspicion why Galaxie doesn't want to go home?" He asked.

"Nothing, Zues. Galaxie has no problem shared with us."

"What did she say before she left?"

"She just said that she wanted to be alone. I could see the sadness in her eyes. And she also said that I shouldn't ask her why that's why I respected what she told me." She said as she bent down slightly to hide the tears that were forming in her eyes because of the sadness. She couldn't stop herself from worrying.

Zues just nodded and thought of asking her the hotel where Galaxie was staying and its room number. Galaxie's stepmom did not hesitate to give him the information he asked. She warned Zues again about what Galaxie told her that she doesn't want anyone coming to her room, because she wanted to be alone for a while.

However, Zues won't allow his best friend to suffer loneliness all alone, he is the only friend she has. And he knew that she needed him. After he asked for Galaxie's room number in that hotel to her stepmother, he didn't waste another single minute. He hopped on his car and drove into that hotel. With his racing heart, he immediately went inside and asked where to find room number 445. Zues didn't look like a bad person, in fact, he looked rich that was why the hotel staff didn't hesitate to point him to room number 445.

As he arrived, he gently knocked on the door and without a second, Galaxie opened it. Seeing her face made Zues' jaw to be dropped. Her face was covered with tears, her cheeks were red and her eyes were obviously tired of crying.

"W-What happened?" Zues asked worriedly as he pulled her in his arms.
