Seth hadn't been home for the passed two days and to Melody the whole world had suddenly disappeared.
Someone knocked on the door. Melody didn't even bother looking up with her bloodshot eyes, her eyelids were still puffy and her gaze still lingered on her eternally silent phone.
She assumed it was Chandler again, the one who'd kept Seth updated about all the things she had been occupying herself with in his absence. She couldn't even be mad at him, she brought this on herself.
"You're not planning on telling me to come in?"
Melody head jerked up to meet Seth's wistful smile. He'd finally read her messages this morning but his response was equally noncommittal. She had pulled herself against the headboard, pulling her knees up so she could mimic a foetal sitting position.
"S-Seth."
