Elliot drank from his brandy glass in silence for twenty consecutive seconds.

"... Mr. Holmes?" Alfred asked before the tense pause, it seemed that he was the only one connected to the telephone line.

"If you are unable to do the record, I can summon your superior to grant me someone more qualified ..."
