Matching Room

Looks like we're the first ones here," Kurona said, entering the matching room. "So this is where the losers of the 3v3 come to. The room had a big screen and was dimly lit.

"Mhm, "Murano replied, feeling down.

"What should we do? Do you want to take a break?" Kurona asked.

"The time is not right for a break. If we lose our next game, we're locked out," Murano spoke while lowering his head.

"We only lost because our opponents happened to be too strong," Kurona said.

"You don't get it, I'm never worried about facing stronger opponents. I mostly come on top, How do I get this frustration feeling off my chest?" Murona asked Kurona.

"You have to win; that's what you do." Kurona said.

"Is there a strong team here?" Barou came into the room and interrupted us.

Barou grinned mischievously. "How unexpected for you to lose and come here, aren't you supposed to be the strongest?"

"How about a 2 vs. 2? I bet I could kick your ass again," Murano said while releasing his frustration at Barou.

"Don't make me vomit, I only lost one time, let's go at it if you want." Barou replied angrily as he grasped Murano's collar.

"Yeah, I'm down," Murano said, pulling Barou's hand away.

Uh, actually, we can't play right now, you have to wait after 24 hours," Naruhaya said while pointing to the rules on the wall.

"Let's take a break, we can do this when the time limit is off," Naruhaya added.

Kurona agreed and nodded. "Exactly, Murona. Let's take a break first."

"Tch! When you're ready, feel free to come find me "Murano murmured as he and Kurona left the room.

2nd Stage

Resting Room

"I guess resting wasn't such a bad idea," Murano said as he relaxed on the bed

"Yo Murano, wanna play shogi," Kurona asked.

"Yeah sure!" Murano replied, with a hint of thrill in his voice. His mood had lightened up after seeing that Barou had also lost.

They started playing shogi after setting up the board on a nearby small table. The stress from the prior challenge began to vanish as they planned and executed their moves. The sound of laughter filled the room as they enjoyed each other's company, forgetting about their next match with Barou.

For a brief moment, they were just two friends engaging in a friendly competition. The game went on for hours, with both Murano and Kurona showcasing their skills and wit. Eventually, fatigue caught up with them, and they decided to call it a draw. They put away the shogi board and settled back onto their beds, feeling more relaxed than before. As they drifted off to sleep, they couldn't help but feel grateful for this momentary escape from the intense trials that awaited them in the coming days.

Next Day

Training Room

"With your quickness and accurate passes, you have to support me in the back, while I hit that ball with my finesse shots," I said as I was explaining our tactics for the next match.

"Right," Kurona responded.

Then, in order to develop chemistry between us, we trained tirelessly. We pushed ourselves to the limit while concentrating on our footwork, agility, and coordination. As we repeatedly practiced our moves in an effort to achieve perfection, sweat streamed down our faces. Each pass and shot needed to be calculated and precise We pushed through the fatigue, determined to create a chemical reaction and become an unstoppable duo on the field.

As the training session came to an end, we collapsed onto the grass, exhausted but satisfied with our progress. The chemistry between us had grown stronger, and we left the training room that day ready to fight any opponent that crossed our path.

Murano and his teammate, Kurona, exchanged a determined glance before approaching Barou and Naruhaya.

They signed up for the 2v2 match, eager to destroy Barou.
