I have personally witnessed Loki's godspeed, but am I sure I can outperform him?

Yes, I'm more sure than ever. I pondered as I placed the ball on the ground and restarted the game as I dribbled through the mid-center line.

The World Five players had shaped themselves in a diamond formation, with Blake at the front, ready to take me on.

Hiori's POV

I saw Murano coming towards Blake. It was a one v one. With the ball at his feet, he turned around and made the roulette move as he bypassed Blake. One down, four to go.

Then I saw Luna coming down from the left side, while Silva was from the right, and they were all charging at Murano.

Murano took a quick glance and became aware of that. Also, Shidou was open on the right, and Barou was open on the left.

He had to make a split-second decision on who to pass to.

Murano's POV

' Fuck this—I'm going on by myself.'

Back to Hiori's POV

Luna was the first to arrive. Murano touched the ball lightly before making a 'Ronaldo chop' move with the ball to move past him, which caused Luna to fall to the ground. Leaving Luna in the dust as he came on top in 1 vs. 1 against Luna.

After a short spin, Murano was already around Silva.

Cevasoz was the next in line. He made a rainbow flick over his head and dashed past him with ease, taking advantage of Cevasoz's short stature.

He had no time, as Loki was charging straight toward him.

**Swish**

He dashed forward like lightning and never stopped his run. Before I knew it, he was already in front of Murano.

The next scene was so fast that I'm not sure what I saw, but this is what I thought had happened.

'As Loki was dashing past Murano, mid-run, Loki pulled his leg to take the ball, but he was denied as Murano quickly sidestepped by dragging the ball back. In that split second, Loki's momentum carried him forward.'

Without stalling, Murano fires an explosive shot that sends the ball into the top corner of the net.

"Whoooo!" He yelled as he held his hands to his ears as the ball whizzed past the goalkeeper and into the goal.

Murano's POV

Chronoception, a one-in-a-billion SSS-grade active ability that I was able to pull from the random spin, is the new ability that I just used to beat Loki and the other World Five. This is the ability to perceive time in a slower or faster way than normal.

In the last play, I was able to slow my perception, giving me more time to react quickly while being able to see gradually how the other player's body trajectory was changing.

I'd been trying to adjust my perception to Loki's Godspeed earlier, but he gradually increased his pace as I tried to slow down my perception to match his speed, So I had to slow it down much more than I necessarily should.

I still had to score two more goals to end the match...

A/N: The brain has a variety of different mechanisms for tracking time. Chronoception allows these mechanisms to be altered in a way that causes the user to perceive time differently. The Brain's "internal clock" can be sped up or slowed down, which would affect how quickly or slowly the user perceives time to be passing.

(The drawback of Chronoception is that it can lead to inaccurate assessments about the passage of time, so the user loses track of time. What is deemed fast becomes normal or slow to the user.)
