Chapter 17: The Mission
"This Mission is one we are all too familiar with. Sea monsters not under the control of the Kraken have been killing some of the Merpeople in the local area. While the Philippine sea we are currently in is safe. 300 to 1000 miles closer to the middle of the North Pacific Ocean is not.
"Wake island is where you will deploy from, then you'll go about 100 miles south and meet up with your liaison and get further instructions from there. Said Mr. De Rossi.
"Who will be attending this mission?" Carly said, raising her hand like a proper student.
"It will be yourself. Thank you for volunteering. Kathryn and Isaiah. This will be a good time for him to witness what we do on these missions and see what his other classmates are capable of. Plus, Kathryn needs to get ready to be the Future King of the sea. This is her future territory, after all. Mr. De Rossi added.
Carly rolled her eyes then looked at Isaiah.🙄
"Try not to be a burden," Carly said
"Does she hate me specifically, or does she not like psychics either?" Isaiah whispered to Lia
"Nah, she hates you for the content of your character. Oh, and for beating up her older brother. Lia said with a smirk
"Oh right there, sibling, how though they don't look anything alike besides they're both Caucasian," Isaiah said.
"Stromwright. That the names Surname Dracula and Merlin hold. Titus is an experiment of Dracula, while Carly is the adopted daughter of Merlin. Well, I'm not sure if she was adopted or not. She does favor Merlin a lot, though.
Isaiah completely forgot that Merlin was a woman he didn't keep up with the 7 that much only a couple of its members. Which he regrets now because it is all public information.
"As always, we will teleport you to Wake Island. You'll have to sort out how you travel to Wake unwater city yourselves."
"Carly, please help Isaiah find a means to breathe underwater. I know I must say this, or you'll leave him high and dry. Please try to get along during the mission." Mr. De Rossi said.
"Alright, that ends our homeroom class; you can now break and go to whatever study you wish or just go play video games like Xavier always does." Mr. De Rossi said, breaking the class.
"Isaiah, Carly, Kathryn, meet with me after to get your ETA for your mission." Mr. De Rossi added.
"Ohh, so he's just our homeroom teacher. I thought he was about to break out a lesson plan or something," Isaiah said to Lia
"Yea, he definitely can though he has like 4 PHDs and 2 masters. He just doesn't like us as students," Lia said
" But yeah, the classes he's talking about you can take with the butlers or maid in really in the field that you want. Or if your intelligence is high enough, just insert information in your brain using magic." Lia added
Isaiah makes a face 😑
"That explains everything; what's the point of education if magic exists," Isaiah said
"See, you're starting to get it. But don't take that information dump too lightly; you could overload your brain and be a vegetable forever. So it requires A LOT of intelligence." Lia said.
"Right right, there is always a catch. Anyways see you later got to get the lowdown for this mission. Isaiah said, getting his things and heading to the front of the class.
"Make sure you are all fully prepared to go on this mission tomorrow morning, don't be late to the teleporter. This mission should be reasonably quick, given you all your talents and abilities.
"If you need any backup, which I doubt that you would call myself, or one of Medusa's knights will deploy to you immediately."
"Isaiah, since you don't know this, I'll say it. For you to call one of the 7 kings knights are a huge deal. It would mean the situation is a multinational threat." Mr. De Rossi said with seriousness in his eyes.
"Which also means the threat's power level is King or higher. Kat said.
"Power Level King? What exactly does that mean?" Isaiah asked.
"Carly here will explain it to you tomorrow once again. Please try to get along. Don't forget, although it hasn't been announced yet, you are the 7 kings' successors. Your weakness is; also, there's do not fail. Mr. De Rossi said with a severe tone of voice
Mr. De Rossi dismissed the three of them and exited the class like the rest.
"Alright, so since this is in my territory, I'll take point on this one. Let all meet together for dinner to discuss more of the mission," Kat said
