After Celia left, Emily went to her daughter and gave her a look.
"Why did you lie to your dad?" she asked her.
"Not now. If I tell dad he will get furious and will go to their house. Besides, I'm not a teenager anymore. I can fight my own battles." Plumeria told her.
Emily looked at her proudly and caressed her face gently.
"You've grown so fast." Emily told her with a smile.
"I had to." she smiled at her. "I can stay a kid forever."
Emily giggled and saw that her breakfast was ready.
"Come on now. Eat your breakfast before it gets cold… but don't burn yourself again." She told her.
"Also, one more thing. I'm going to visit Levi. I need to talk with him about something." Plumeria told her.
"It hasn't been a day and you're already missing him, eh?" Emily teased.
"Mommmm." she said in annoyance.
"Fine, fine. Well, remember to take some macaroons for him before you leave." Emily told her.
