"I really am sorry, son." he told him. "If there's any way I can repay you for that, then I will."
Levi got up and looked at him dead serious.
"Then how about you hand your company over to me?" he suggested in a serious tone.
"I really am sorry, son." he told him. "If there's any way, I can make it up to you for that, then I will."
Levi got up and looked at him dead serious.
"Then how about you hand your company over to me?" he suggested in a serious tone.
Everyone looked at him in shocking silence.
"Do you have any idea what you are saying, Levi?!" Logan snapped at him angrily.
"Relax, dad. I was just joking." he told him and chuckled.
Everyone relaxed, suddenly realizing that he was only joking. Levi looked at Owen with a small smile.
"Don't worry about it. We are a family. I understood that you misunderstood the entire situation. I imagine that I would too if I were in your shoes, but next time please don't jump to conclusions too soon. You pack quite a punch." he told him with a fake nervous smile, but on the inside he was glaring at him.
'Be relieved all you want for now. Pretty soon hell will be upon you.' he thought, looking at him.
"Well, if you wanted to scare the hell out of us then you succeeded." his mother told him, looking at him displeased with a hand on her heart.
Levi chucked and kissed her mother's forehead after putting an arm around her back.
"Sorry mom. I thought I'd lighten up the mood a little." he told her.
"I'll say it again Levi. I'm sorry for misjudging you and hitting you based on my assumptions." Owen apologized again.
"Don't worry about it. It's all forgiven and forgotten." Levi lied.
He looked at Plumeria, who was looking at them quietly.
"You're quiet." He said, looking at her.
"I didn't want to interfere." She told him.
The truth was, she was too embarrassed because she thought that she caused the whole situation to take a turn for the worst. But she also felt good when her father punched him because she thought he deserved it with the way he had treated her since the day they met.
Emily looked at her daughter and hugged her.
"I'm glad that you are okay, sweetie." She told her and caressed the back of her head.
She smiled and patted her mother's arm.
After a while later, the two couples started talking with each other and reminiscing their past. They laughed as they talked about their past.
Levi and Plumeria listened to them with interest and laughed as they told them about their mischievous time.
"Your father was really mischievous in high school. There wasn't a single person in our school who didn't know his name. One time your dad didn't do his test well and to get poor grades, he threw smoke bombs in the teachers' room. All the teachers went out running, thinking that it was a terrorist attack. He then quickly swapped the test results and came out feeling proud." Logan told him and roared with laughter.
"Big mistake. Apparently they found out that it was me, but since I was from an influential family, they told my dad directly and oh boy, oh boy, did I pay the price. Your grandfather was really strict when it came to achieving things with dishonesty." Owen told her.
"I remember. He would even punish me if I tried to cheat even in little things." she told him.
"Sweetheart, those were nothing compared to how he used to punish me." Owen told her.
"When he got home, his father punished him by making him hold a bucket of water for 15 minutes. And to make sure he didn't do it again, he made him squat over a cactus." Logan laughed.
"And if I dropped the water, then I would have to do it all over again." Owen said and shook his head.
Plumeria laughed and looked at her father.
"I thought that you were an outstanding student, dad." she said, and raised her eyebrow at him with a smile.
She remembered that whenever her dad reprimanded her, he would always tell her that he was a straight-A student and she should study as well if she wanted to be like him. He also used to tell her that he won't live for long and if something were to happen to him, she would at least be able to support herself in the future. Of course, she was very little at the time and always used to run away from her studies and her sister was the one who always got straight A's, unlike her, and Plumeria rarely ever saw her studying. But she kept everything her father's teachings told her close to her heart and was glad that he taught her everything she needed to know to become the person she was today.
"It was just one time, love. And I used to say that to you to make you study and become the woman you are today." Owen smiled, remembering the past. "When you were little, you alway tried to come up with an excuse to skip your studies."
Emily laughed, remembering that time as well.
"It was so funny every time your father carried you to your room with a frustrated expression on his face." Emily told her and giggled.
She felt embarrassed that they told everyone that. She was about to tell them to stop, but her father beat her to it.
"In fact, one time she was really being hard on me during study time and I ended up reprimanding her a little more harshly than I intended to and grounded her. At night I felt bad for being harsh on her and was going to apologize to her after I changed, but this little kiddo decided to take revenge on me." Owen told them and chuckled.
"Oh, dad please no." she begged him not to tell that story. "I told you, I regretted doing that."
"Oh? Now I really want to listen." Ella said and looked at Owen, expecting a good story. "What did she do?"
"She put super glue in my hair conditioner." he told her and shook his head as he chuckled.
"Oh yes, I remember that day like it was yesterday." Emily laughed. "We both were so dumbfounded. I was laughing while Owen didn't know how he should react. The next day when Owen came home after shaving his hair off we decided to scold her for what she did but when she saw him in the morning with all his hair gone, even though it was completely her fault, she started crying so much that it broke our hearts and we didn't have the strength to scold her anymore."
"She didn't leave me for days and got extra clingy. Plum tried to make it up to me by giving me her toys and snacks." Owen told them.
"Aww, that was so sweet of her." Ella told him.
"She was really naughty, but she had the purest heart of us all and still does." Emily told them.
'Purest heart of us all she says.' Levi thought sarcastically and rolled his eyes in annoyance on the inside.
"I agree. I often saw her sitting alone in the garden looking sad whenever she hurt Levi accidentally." Logan told them.
"Well, after that, surprisingly, she didn't bother me anymore and became obedient during study time." Owen told them.
Everyone burst into laughter.
"And all it took was for you to become bald for her to start studying seriously." Logan said, while laughing.
"I wished I had done it sooner, though. It would've saved me so much trouble." Owen chuckled.
