Poppy's mind wandered as Mr Ahn taught the class. Maybe her mind would have been more alert if she knew that she would be in Mr Ahn's target range. Randomly, the handsome English teacher said: "I need someone to read the passage for me. Who would volunteer?"
The noisy class all of a sudden became quiet as no one wanted to face the embarrassment of reading a foreign language poorly before a majestic teacher.
"Anyone?" Mr Ahn asked once more and yet he heard no response.
All of a sudden, a good-for-nothing seated at the back, raised his voice and said: "Mr Ahn, Poppy is such a good reader of English."
The whole class then burst out in laughter. With their voices high in laughter, Poppy's mind returned back to the class.
"Is she?" Mr Ahn asked and Poppy couldn't tell what was going on.
"Poppy, then can you do us the pleasure of reading the passage?" Mr Ahn requested but Poppy thought she was still dreaming, hence she asked Jeremy, who sat next to her: "What is he saying?"
