Long Day, Longer Night

In my eyes, the day had been long, but the night was going to be longer and special. It all began with the reconciliation between father and son. Jin Ho had forgiven his father and after a period of ten years, Jin Ho gave his father a smile whilst the latter replied with tears.

He was really sorry for his past actions. After this wonderful dinner, I decided to wash the dishes on the family's behalf.

But my father-in-law said: "The maids would do the dishes. There's no need to bother with it."

However, I said to him in reply: "I know that. But I want to give you a private time together." I said whilst looking at him and Jin Ho.

They got the connection and allowed me to proceed with the dishwashing.

The two went to the study and sat face-to-face, something they had hardly done in the past. Nonetheless, none of them could speak after taking the first step.

"I…" they said in unison.

"You…" they said once more in unison.
