Even after so many hours had passed, I still found myself thinking about Felicia's plan and the probability of it working out.

Earlier, she had told me to feign being weak and helpless at school from monday onwards. 

She claimed that if I do this, the gang of friends might let down their guard and this would turn out to be an advantage for me as I'll be able to penetrate and get the required information I needed. 

But, I somehow found myself doubting this plan over and over again. Though it looked and sounded perfect, I still couldn't help wondering if it's going to work out.

After all, since Vera and her friends were the popular hangars in school, they should possess some kind of hidden weapon and bond that keeps them together and makes them succeed in their plans... Right? 

So it won't be so easy to break them and extol information like that, will it? 

I was now back in my room thinking about Felicia's words when my cell phone rang. 

I picked up my phone and after taking a glance at the Caller's ID. I picked it up. 

" Hello, Nanny Jenny. " I greeted the person at the other end. 

" Hello, Mira. It's been a while. How are you doing? " She said in that naturally soft and loving voice of hers.

" I am doing great, Nanny. What about you? " I asked. 

" I am fine over here. "

" Oh... Am glad to hear that. " I smiled. " And, Joseph? " I found myself asking this before I could stop myself. 

" Well... I really don't know as Joseph had become more quiet and reserved lately. He doesn't share his thoughts with me and only keeps it in. " 

" Oh... That's somehow expected. " 

" Yeah.... I also noticed that he had been going out a lot lately. " 

" Really? Do you have an idea of where he usually goes? " 

" Not really... But I have a feeling that he had been going out to meet Vera. "

" Oh... Have you asked him about it? "

" I tried once, but he only gave me an ambiguous answer. "

" Seems like he doesn't trust  in you that much anymore. "

" Yeah and that's what hurts most. " 

" Hm... "

" So are you planning something to get him back? "

" How do you know, nanny? "

" Well...it isn't that hard to guess, really. I know that you wouldn't leave your best friend to just ruin himself and would surely find a way out. "

" You sure have a strong faith in me, Nanny... "

" I do.... So you are resuming back to school on Monday right? " 

" Yeah... My suspension ended yesterday so.... " 

" Just make sure you take good care of yourself and don't wear yourself out. " 

" I will keep that in mind, Nanny. "

" Am sure you will... Take care. " 

" Will do. You should take care too, nanny. " 

" I will... "

" Okay... And please don't forget to keep a close eye on Joseph and please do inform me if there's something unusual. " I found myself saying. 

" You have my word on that. " 

" Alright, Nanny...  I'll be hanging up now, Goodnight... "

" Goodnight to you too, sleeping beauty. Do have a great night's rest. " 

" Thanks, Nanny.... "

" Hm.... It's my pleasure. Bye. "

" Bye, Nanny. " I said as the call got disconnected. 

After the call, I laid silently on my bed as I pondered on everything that happened today. 

I must admit though that despite all that happened, I still cared a lot for Joseph and most certainly don't want to lose him..

Though he's been stupid and blind in his doing.

But well, I can't blame since all of that is as a result of him being so young and in love. 

He's  Infatuated, I get this.

So now matter what, I'll try my best to save him from being heartbroken. 

As this is my duty as his best friend, though he might not consider me one anymore, I still see him as one. 

Not bad. 

I just wish he hadn't fallen so hard for Vera. Then it would have been easier to settle this, but well... He's completely Infatuated and has become deaf and blind to everything and everyone else. 

Even his nanny who took care of him right from childhood can't even talk to him and he'll yield..

The only person he listens to now is Vera and himself. 

And whatever Vera says now goes. 

I am sure that the latter must have told him about how essential it was for him to sever all ties with me. 

And as expected, I am sure Joseph would be preparing to do just that. 

How sad! 

I wish I could do something to change all this.... I wish I could somehow go back in time to change something.

But well... It's impossible now since what's done is done. 

I just have to face what's in front.

I need to work hard to save my best friend and our friendship...if it's still possible to.

I need to do this! And I am sure I can. 

I believe in myself and our friendship too.... despite all that has happened I still do.

Crazy right? Thought so too.
