Hugging a Big Thigh

Xu Anyi took a deep breath as she straightened her back on the couch and cleared her throat, "Si Mu, I need your help with something."

He lifted his eyes up from the computer and looked at her.

"So, I wanted to get into modeling, but I need modeling opportunities." She pressed her lips together. As someone with absolutely no background now, there was no way she would be able to enter the industry without any help or support.

Si Mu nodded, understanding immediately, looking back down at his computer as he typed something into the search engine. Then, he pushed his computer screen over to her, showing her a list of all the top entertainment companies in the entire country, "Pick."

Xu Anyi looked through the list filled with some familiar names and a smile crept up her face as she read through it. Having a big thigh to hug onto is indeed very pleasing!

Xinhua Entertainment, Ruyi Entertainment. . . All of the best companies that only top models could work with.

However, she quickly looked through the list and turned the computer screen back to him, saying with a bright smile, "Thank you, but I don't need to sign a company yet, I just need a manager to find jobs for me."

If she signed a company right away, it would be too obvious that she used methods to get into the industry, and it would not be beneficial for her in the future.

Plus, she still needed to work at Yihua Club. She was doing modeling because she liked it, she needed to get her feet into the upper class waters again, and just to purposely annoy Xia Yiwei, but she also knew that modeling was not a stable income source, especially in the beginning.

Although they were married, she did not want to use too much of Si Mu's money as she owed him a lot already, so she has to work.

Si Mu raised an eyebrow, questioning her decision. A company would be much helpful for her to grow her career.

"I still have to work at Yihua too," she said, and he responded with a frown.

"You don't have to work at Yihua."

"I want to," she replied without hesitation.

Si Mu looked at her for a few seconds, and it almost seemed like he could read right through her. Finally, he nodded as he began working again, "I will find you a manager."

Xu Anyi watched him work for a while longer, and the silence was overbearing in the large space.

"I'm hungry," she suddenly commented. "When is dinner ready?"

He looked up and closed his laptop.

A while later, Si Mu came out of the kitchen, holding two bowls of food. Xu Anyi took it from him, sitting down across from him as she took a large bite.

She had always been a picky eater until the incident that happened five years ago, but even so, the food he made tasted unbelievably delicious.

After eating a quick dinner, Xu Anyi had to go up and change for she still had to go to work even though it was the weekend. For a club, the weekend was even more busy than the weekdays.

When she came back down in her worker's outfit, she saw him standing at the door with a car key in his hand.

"I'll take you." He said, turning around and opening the door.

He got into the driver's seat so she decided to sit in the front, and the car sped off into the night, entering the city.

"Thank you." After they arrived, Xu Anyi got out of the car quickly, not wanting to attract too much attention with his flashy car, and ran into the building.

After she had disappeared, Si Mu did not leave immediately, and instead pulled out his phone and made a call. The other side picked up right away.

"Keep an eye on her. If anything happens, report to me immediately."

Then, he hung up.

Xu Anyi entered the kitchen in the back again, and ran straight into Su Yan, who stood at the door. When she saw her, she immediately straightened her back, and it almost seemed like she was waiting for her.

"Xu Anyi!" She called, walking over. When she got close, her eyes narrowed as she gave her the once-over, looking at her with both confusion and surprise. It had only been a day, yet something about her seemed different. . .

Before, it seemed like nothing mattered to her, and she carried a cold and grave feeling with her wherever she went. But now, it was almost like she was alive again. . . But why?

When thinking about what happened earlier, Su Yan only got more confused and curious as she crossed her arms together, looking at Xu Anyi with a suspicious expression.

"Where did you go?" She asked.

Xu Anyi did not know what she was asking about, and she replied, "I'm at work."

"You said you left the dorm. . . Where did you go?" She asked again.

Xu Anyi studied Su Yan's expression, not avoiding her glare, and after a few seconds, she smiled. The smile only made Su Yan more shocked and confused as she furrowed her eyebrows together.

"I found somewhere to live. I didn't know you needed every worker's address," Xu Anyi commented, raising an eyebrow.

"I-" Su Yan frowned, but then quickly stopped as she remembered what she was here to do.

"Whatever." She cleared her throat and looked to the side, "You are working in the bar now. Go report there immediately."

Then, she walked away in her two-inch high heels.

After she turned the corner, she stopped and watched as Xu Anyi quickly left the kitchen as well and swiftly made her way to the front bar, not surprised at all.

This only made Su Yan more suspicious as she drew her brows together tightly.

A few minutes ago before work started, she had gotten a call from her boss above. Her boss had never called her and usually either messaged her or had his assistant give her orders, but he had specifically called today and given her specific orders about the worker named Xu Anyi.

There was definitely something going on. . .
