Chapter 78

Tom kept picking up small bottles that were similar to those that had been swept by the waves to the shore. He opened all the little bottles, and found the underwater world as vivid and the same as before inside each of them. The same shades and light that seemed almost so illusory, a swarm of fish swimming together from front and back and a strange fish with its wings, they all seemed to jump out of the paper, so alive.

When night fell again, Tom found a point of light on the other side of the island.

That point of light is a beacon on the horizon where the sky and the ocean meet.

The lighthouse… the lighthouse… For some reason, when Tom stared at the distant light, she had the feeling that it was the end of the night. He sat down and the small bottles he was carrying about six to seven bottles collided and made a clanking sound.

The night breeze, waves and lighthouse slowly calmed Tom's heart.
