[NSFW] - A Long Vacation (Waifu Catalog, Young Justice)

A/N: Here's the new chapter, later than I wanted to get it out. I hope this satisfies people, because from a literary sense, I think what I did here with Wally makes far more sense. I'm satisfied enough that he's not getting Artemis. As always, suggestions and comments are greatly appreciated. Enjoy!

Chapter 11

===== ===== Max POV ===== =====

Mary West wasn't an unattractive woman. For someone getting close to 40, she was actually doing very good. I fully understand that [Universal Calibration] has helped her, but even without that, she would have been a solid 7.

"Hello, Mrs. West," I greeted the mother, giving her a friendly smile. "My name is Max, and I'm an associate of your son. Is Wally available?"

She gave me an appraising look, because as a good mother of a son with a dual life, she had to be careful about who she let into her house.

"I don't think I've heard of you," she said, though not in an unfriendly way.

"I'm not part of the Team that the Justice League set up, but we do kind of work in tandem with them and train with them. I'm actually here because two members of our little team pulled a prank on Wally, and I'm here to apologize and offer him an olive branch."

I was fine with what the girls did, but in hindsight, this was just going to cause me problems eventually. Rylai had some really out there ideas, and I had to put a stop to it before she puts him in a gimp suit a drops him off at a biker bar.

Plus, I remember what it was like to be young and horny, where the slightest touch from a girl would get me sprung, and a kiss would have me leaking. Considering he wasn't going to be getting Artemis, and after what Rylai and Korra did, I decided to just end up, and see if I could make things better.

Besides, if this works, this will just make me look better.

"He certainly didn't mention any of that," she said, now with a bit of momma-heat in her voice.

"You know how us males are, we don't like to share embarrassing information. It's not my place to tell what happened, but it involved two girls from my team inappropriately teasing him, and recommend that you don't bring it up to him. If you'd please ask him to get in his Kid Flash suit and meet me in your back yard, I would appreciate it. I need to borrow him for ten or so minutes."

She gave me a hard look, but [Social Talent] said I was fine, so I wasn't worried.

Finally, she said, "Okay, I'll let him know you're here. You can just go straight through the house. The exit's in the kitchen."

"Thank you, Mrs. West," I said, as I started walking through the West home.

Mrs. West closed the front door, and was headed up the stairs when I reached their back yard. I didn't have to wait long before Wally showed up in his suit. That was a good sign.

"What do you want," he said, glaring at me.

"To take you somewhere and have a private chat," I replied, and before he could respond or do anything, I grabbed him under his arms, and took to the sky.

"Whaaaaa the heeellllll!" he screamed, until we landed a few miles away.

"Sorry about that, but we needed some privacy," I said, and started my thing. "First, I know what Rylai and Korra did, and I'm sorry about that. They'll be punished for that, because it was uncalled for."

Basically, they're getting tied up and will be undergoing orgasm denial. I'll probably fuck Kara or Pamela on top of them, too.

"Second, I wanted to give you give you this." I pulled a small USB thumb drive out of a pouch and handed it to him. "Read this. It will help you talk to girls."

"I don't need your help with girls!"

I sighed. "Wally, yes you do. You hit on every girl and woman you see. That just makes you look bad. It's one of the reasons why Rylai's been so extremely tough on you. So, just cool it down, especially on grown woman, and read that book. I promise that it will help."

He just glared at me, but I knew I was doing okay, thanks to [Social Talent].

"And finally, I want to help you with your speed problem."

"What 'speed problem'?"

"How you aren't as fast as your uncle, and how you eat far more food than your stomach can physically hold. I think I can help you, like I did with Roy and Conner."

His entire demeanor changed. "You think… you can fix my speed?"

"Yes, I do," I quickly responded, my voice full of confidence. "And I'll try if you promise to read that book."

"How will you fix me?" he asked, and I just cocked an eyebrow, since he didn't promise. He just rolled his eyes. "Fine, I promise."

Good enough. I pulled out a piece of paper, and handed it to him.

"I have two options at the moment, so we're going with the easier approach, first. I want you to memorize this equation. Think about it when you start running. Think about it as you're running."

His brow was furrowed as he looked at the simple equation, 3X2(9YZ)4A. The Speed Equation.

"What's this going to do?" he asked, confused.

"Just give it a shot. Run for a couple of minutes, and if it doesn't do anything, then there's a second approach we can take. Just think about doing this for science."

He rolled his eyes, but looked back at the paper. "3X2(9YZ)4A…" he mumbled a few times, before he put the paper in his arm pouch, and took off. I took to the skies, and followed him.

His was at his top speed, a bit below the speed of sound. After about thirty seconds, I saw the telltale signs of yellow lightning, and his speed increased. He broke the sound barrier, though there was no sonic boom. And slowly, he kept getting faster.

I increase my own speed to fly next to him, and gave him a signal to stop. He did, I had to catch him as she stopped far more abruptly than he ever did before, causing him to nearly face plant.

"That was… I mean, I did it! I got faster!" His face was a giant smile filled with excitement. I just returned it.

"Physically, how do you feel?" I asked, activating my Omni-tool and taking some scans. The energy readings were different from previous scans, so that was something.

"Good! Very good!"

"Are you hungry?"

"Uh…" his face scrunched up. "A little? I mean, I'm always hungry, but what I feel now isn't like what it was before we left my house."

"Okay," I said. "If this works the way I think it will, you should get much closer to Flash's speed and abilities eventually, and not need to eat so much. You just need to put in some effort and practice. I think everything should clink into place sometime soon as you practice."

His smile mostly disappeared, as he asked, "Why are you doing this for me? Nobody in your group likes me."

"Because the girls wronged you," I replied. "I'm a guy, so I can put myself in your shoes and know how what they did would feel. They would have apologized in person, but I told them that it would be best for them to just forget it ever happened, and said I'd do it on their behalf. And because if they showed up at your house, you would have told them to just fuck off. With me, you'd at least hear me out. And they don't all dislike you. Most of them were just extremely annoyed by your immaturity and constant inappropriate comments and leers. That's why I gave you that e-book. It will help you deal with girls better than the approach you're currently trying, which, believe me, will never work. And if it did, that's not the kind of girl you want to be with."

He frowned. "What they did definitely wasn't cool, man. But... I see what you're saying."

"I know. And don't be embarrassed by what happened. Other than Conner, nobody on your Team knows what happened, and I explained things to him. He doesn't really care about that kind of stuff, so don't worry about it."

I put my hand on his shoulder. "Just read that book. I promise that it will help you deal with girls. And keep practicing with your speed. I strongly suggest you destroy that equation, because if a bad guy gets his hands on it…"

"How did you get it, anyway?" he asked.

Giving him a wry smile, I replied, "Kryptonian brains are overpowered. Kara and I put our minds to figuring out what we're calling the Speed Equation. It was the simplest solution for your problem. Just keep training and track how much you eat. And just keep that equation in your mind, like a mantra, until your body fully stabilizes and you don't need it anymore. What you do with it is up to you, but I suggest you talk with your uncle, and the two of you promise each other to not share it, because it will just empower others."

"Why don't you use it?" he asked. "My uncle is faster than Kryptonians."

I chuckled. "Then I'd have to run. Flying is far more fun."

He silently snorted, and [Social Talent] is telling me that I fulfilled my objective. Things might get awkward with the girls and him, but this was a win for Max. What he did with the Speed Equation now wasn't his concern.

===== ===== Max POV ===== =====

I had to admit that Kent Nelson was one tough old codger. To think that he stood up to a few weeks of torture and never gave in is quite a feat. I fully expected that if I were in his place, I would have folded pretty easily.

Is everybody in position?

I don't even know why you need us here. You and Kara can take these two.

Well, I'm in position, and ready to go.

Same. For both.

Because he's a Lord of Chaos, and he's extremely dangerous. If our speed blitz on them fails, Klarion will either get away, or put up a gid fight.

From those of us who aren't there, good luck.

D'awwww. Serling's getting sentimental.

Quiet you!

You all know your roles. Kara, he's holding Teekl, so we in three... Two… One…

Kara and I raced in at our top speed, while Ahsoka, Tali, and Rylai were going in on foot from a blook away. We had kept our distance in case Teekl was patrolling the area, but fortune was on our side, as Klarion was holding him.

In a matter of seconds, we had broken through the walls of the old theatre. Klarion barely had time to notice us before I'd started reaching out with my Shroud, and encased both the Lord of Chaos and his familiar in it.

I noticed that Kara had instantly disabled Abra Kadabra before I flew my captive through another wall and out of the theatre. I didn't know how advanced his 'future tech' was, but I figured having it in my possession was better than Abra's.

Landing on a rooftop a few blocks away, my Shroud lurched. There was a horrifying wail coming from the black cocoon in front of me, as I felt more and more Chaos energy being thrown into my Shroud. Klarion clearly didn't intend to go quietly. If the little sadistic fucker wanted to drag this out, so be it. He was going to be sold to the Company, whether he liked it or not.

In an effort to speed up the process, my Shroud entered every hole he had, despite how disgusting the process was. I certainly had invested enough Will into this, because Klarion was probably the top person on this planet that needed to disappear from reality. They show glossed over the impact of splitting the world in two, but his canon actions would have been the most devastating single act up to now.

My Shroud shuddered from the inside, as Klarion did something that made it strain, but as expected, it held.

"Okay fucker, see how you like this…"

Every part of my Shroud that was inside him expanded. Every time I felt him fight back, it would expand a little more. If he kept it up, he'd be able to fist his own nasal cavity by the time he inevitably lost.

"Didn't like that, did you. Well, keep it up and the Company will rename you the Grand Canyon…"

This will probably take an hour or two at this rate.

It's worth it to get rid of that monster.

Plus all those credits!

We're with Nelson in the Tower of Fate. I've taken possession of Abra Kadabra's 'wand'. He has an implant in his neck that allows him to use it via thought. I've taken scans of it, and disabled it.

And my potion restored Nelson. He's currently getting himself cleaned up.

All of you, well done.

"You know Klarion, I think you're enjoying the punishment a little too much," I said, as the penetrating portions of it expanded yet again.

It took exactly 97 minutes and 13 seconds for the Capture and Sale of Klarion to go through. Since I had no use for a cat, the Company got his familiar, too.

When I returned to the field where the Tower was located, it appeared, and the front door opened. I navigated my way inside, following a magical hologram of Kent Nelson as I was led to a living area, where Nelson and the girls were all waiting for me.

"You must be Max," Nelson happily said, as I approached.

"I'm glad you're doing well, Mister Kelson," I said, as we shook hands.

"None of that now, young man. Please call me Kent."

"Will do, Kent."

"How did you deal with Klarion?" he asked. "He's a Lord of Chaos, and can't really be defeated."

"I'll just say that I had a method to keep him from bothering the world ever again, and leave it at that."

"I see. You know, I'm surprised to find so many people together with a talent for magic," he said, changing the topic. "Obviously, Rylai is… very strong in the arcane arts. But even you and Kara, who are Kryptonians like Superman, also have that spark. I'd be remiss in my duties if I didn't ask if any of you would be willing to become the next Doctor Fate."

I kept the frown off my face. We just rescued him, and he's already trying to turn one of us into a slave to Nabu. I knew that we were protected from being possessed, but part of me wondered what would happen if one of us did put it on.

"Kent, you stopped wearing the helmet awhile ago, correct?"

"That's correct," he answered. "I made the decision so I could spend more time with my beloved wife, Inza."

"And am I right to assume that becoming Doctor Fate is more than just wearing the helmet?"

He seemed a bit surprised by my question, obviously not expecting any of us to know the truth behind the Helmet.

"That's correct. Much like how a Klarion used his cat as his anchor to this plane of existence, Doctor Fate, or more specifically, Nabu, uses the helmet. When someone wears the helmet, he or she allows Nabu to use his or her body, transforming into Doctor Fate."

"I see… And you want one of us to put the helmet on, giving up our lives to be Doctor Fate?"

He at least had the good grace to look embarrassed at his request.

"Do you truly believe that the world needs a Doctor Fate? Klarion's gone and not coming back."

"Even with Klarion gone, yes," he replied. From the tone in his voice, he truly believed that, too. "There are too many evil magic users out there, and not enough good ones. The world does need a Doctor Fate."

I suppose he wasn't wrong. It would certainly be extremely hypocritical of me to hate Nabu for taking a person as a meat puppet, considering what I do as a Contractor.

"Do you still have Abra Kadabra?" I asked him, and he nodded.

"Yes. I'm keeping him unconscious in a cell. Your associates said you wouldn't be too long, and I didn't want to call the League until you had returned."

"Good. Can you bring him here? We need to have a conversation with him."

He gave me an inquisitive look. "Okay. This should be interesting."

The old magician walked towards a wall, a door appearing just as he reached it, and quickly disappeared after he went through with this.

"So, you're actually going to stick with your plan?" Ahsoka asked.

Before the Company came along, I'd read a fan fiction story or two about this universe, and many took different approaches to solving the Fate problem. There was one that seemed to have the simplest, and best, approach. I wasn't going to waste my time trying to get Atlantis to play host to Doctor Fate.

"Yup," I replied, popping the P. "Last chance to object."

She shook her head. "He's a bad person. This will let him do some good."

A door reappeared where Kent had left, and in walked a magically bound Abra Kadabra and our host.

"Thank you, Kent," I said. "And hello to you, Citizen Abra."

His eyes went wide at me using his designation from his home in the future.

"Who are you?" he demanded. "There shouldn't be any other Kryptonians on Earth at this time."

I snorted. "Maybe you just don't know your history like you should. But I didn't ask Kent to bring you here to talk about me. Let's talk about you."

As I closed the distance between us, I asked, "You started a life of crime here in our century because you wanted to learn magic, yes? And Klarion said he would teach you if you helped him?"

His eyes narrowed. "He did."

"Well, not only was that never going to happen, but Klarion isn't even around to break that deal with you," I said, then continued as I ignored his surprise. "Doctor Fate is a combination of a human host and the Lord of Order Nabu. How would you like to play host to him?"

Both Abra and Kent were surprised by my offer.

"Wait… Really??" Abra asked.

"Yes," I replied. "If you want to play host to Nabu, and be the next Doctor Fate, I'm sure Kent will allow you to put on the Helmet of Doctor Fate." I looked at Kent, and flashed him a quick look. "Right, Kent?"

"Oh, err, yes," he said, catching on. "I think he would make a fine host for Doctor Fate."

"Yes!" Abra immediately yell. "I'll do it!"

I gave him a smile. "Glad to hear it."

"Uh, follow me, Abra," Kent said, and led the beaming villain through another magically conjured door.

"That was easy," Tali said.

"It's easy for people to be seduced by power," Ahsoka mused. "Abra took the wrong path to get his, and now he'll be paying for it."

"Still, to be turned into nothing more than a puppet…" Rylai said, then shrugged. "You reap what you sow, and all that."

I gave her a look. "Trying to tell me something?"

"Oh, no," she quickly answered. "He's an actual villain."

"…"

More than one girl shot Rylai a look, and I decided to contemplate just how good or bad I was later. After Abra Kadabra is turned into a meat puppet.

There was a flash of light, and a golden ankh appeared, Doctor Fate and Kent teleporting into the room.

"Fate thanks you for helping Kent find a new host for me," Doctor Fate said in his totally-not-creepy double voice.

"Not a problem," I said. "I'm just glad that we were able to rescue Kent before they killed him."

"Indeed," Kent said, giving me an appreciative nod. I'm sure deep down he'd rather have died so he could be with his wife in the afterlife, but he probably still has a few more years left here, at this rate.

"Tell me, how did you defeat Klarion?" Fate asked. "Defeating a Lord of Chaos is no easy feat, especially for someone not a master of the arcane arts."

"I have my methods," I answered, "and I'd rather not share them. It's not something I can teach to others, either."

"I see… Since you provided me with a host, and defeated Klarion, I will not inquire further."

"Thank you," I said. Then I turned towards Kent. "We should take our leave now. I suggest giving Red Tornado a call and let him know what happened. Besides, he needs more interaction with his friends."

"I'll do that," he said. "And, again, thank you. All of you. I don't know how much longer I would have lasted if you hadn't rescued me."

"You're a tough, old bird, Kent. You would have lasted as long as you needed to before one of your friends would have taken notice and rescued you."

"Perhaps," she replied with a smile.

===== ===== Ahsoka POV ===== =====

Something was wrong. Something was very wrong. The last think Ahsoka remembered was walking the streets in Coruscant, trying to list to the Force on what she should do. The Order had betrayed her, turned their back on her, then wanted her to rejoin like nothing happened.

She wasn't on Coruscant any longer. The planet was so full of life, you could feel it from anywhere in the system. Wherever she was, it wasn't Coruscant.

The Force was still with her, but it felt… different. How, she wasn't sure, but she could feel it. If the Force was like an ocean to her, then whatever had happened had changed the waves.

She didn't open her eyes, instead reaching out with the Force. She could feel three others in the room with her. While she was certainly concerned about her situation, bordering on actual worry, the Force wasn't screaming any warnings at her. In fact, it was telling her that everything was fine.

"Isn't she supposed to be awake?" she heard a high-pitched female voice ask.

"She is awake," another female voice answered, this one had an unplaceable accent.

"You can open your eyes, Ahsoka," a man said. Since she couldn't pretend to be asleep to see what the others would say, she followed the man's suggestion.

She was surprised by what she saw. The pink-colored alien was of a species she did not recognize. The other two were human. The girl was dressed in the strangest furred clothes and carrying a staff. The man's dress wasn't nearly as strange, and at first glance, didn't seem anything special, outside of being attractive – for a human. The more she delved into the Force to try and understand what was happening, the stronger she felt a connection to the man. It was similar to a Force Bond, but also very different.

She was inside some kind of pod or capsule. That had some troubling implications. Ahsoka allowed the waves of the Force wash over here, helping her keep calm. Her priority was to find out where she was, how she got here, and who these people were.

Taking a step out of the pod, she instinctively knew that her lightsabers were still with her. She took comfort in that. The pink-colored alien had some kind of weapon on her hip, but it was one Ahsoka didn't recognize.

"Who are you people?" she demanded with a calm voice. A year ago, she would have had her lightsabers activated and at their necks. It's amazing how much she's changed during the war.

"I am Max," the male said with a friendly smile. "These two are Rylai and Tali'Zorah."

The Force still wasn't giving her any warnings. Quite the opposite, it was telling her that everything was more than alright.

"I'm sure you have lots of questions," he continued, "and I'll try to answer them all."

The pink-colored girl – Tali'Zorah – snorted. "Whether or not you'll like the answers is another thing."

The man shot the alien a look, and didn't appear apologetic at all.

"Stop being so dramatic, Tali," the human girl said. "We've found ourselves in a strange situation, but from what you've stated, yours has improved dramatically. Seriously, what kind of people send out their young amongst hostiles with very limited supplies and expect them to want to come back? This is just another kind of adventure, and I'm looking forward to it."

The alien frowned at the girl, but didn't say anything, because the glare said it all.

"You can just ignore them," the man said, taking two steps closer to me. Even if the Force wasn't giving me any warnings, I was still on guard. "To answer some of the questions I'm sure you have, you're not on Coruscant. Very far from it, actually. As hard as it might seem to believe, we're all from different dimensions or universes. That's why you don't recognize Tali's species – she's a Quarian, by the way. As for how you got here…" He took a deep breath. "You're not the original Ahsoka Tano, no more than they're the original Tali or Rylai. I'm not even certain if I'm the original Max, though I suspect I am…"

The former Jedi listened in silence and disbelief as he wove a story about some Company with powers beyond anything she had ever imagined before. When she removed all the extreme elements, though, they sounded like a combination of a Hutt cartel and the Sith Empires of old.

He answered ever question she challenged him with, and remained patient when her temper flared. She wasn't a Jedi any longer, so she felt no reason to keep her emotions under such tight control. She wouldn't allow herself to fall to the Dark Side, but she believed that even the most patient Jedi would have lost his or her composure in her place.

"You have just left the Order, correct?"

She frowned at him knowing so much about her, but nodded.

"I'm not telling you how you should feel about your situation. I'll just ask that you keep your mind open to the possibilities you now find. Like Rylai said earlier, she's looking at this as a chance for a grand adventure."

The girl in blue clothing smile at that. "The GRADNEST! I can see all the possibilities, and plan on taking all the advantages now given to me to become what I've always wanted."

The young man- he actually appeared to be a teenager, probably a few years older than herself -nodded.

"And Tali…"

"I can speak for myself," the alien replied. "This is a chance to learn new skills and technologies. Even if I can't help my people now, that doesn't mean I can't in the future. And Max promised to allow me if the opportunity arose."

"And I keep my promises," Max replied. Then his face changed, and the eyes she now found looking at her had a hint of sadness to them. "Ahsoka, you've been forced to fight in a manufactured war that cost the lives of friends and allies and innocents. Later, I'll tell you everything I know about it, but none of that matters right now. Like everybody here, you deserve to take a bit of a long vacation from all the shit that was dropped on you, because time no longer matters to you. Are you willing to give this new, little Family a chance?"

He held out his hand towards her. The Force didn't detect any lies or deceptions in his unbelievable story. It would explain some of the things she was sensing, but there were other explanations for them.

Still, when she looked at that hand, being offered to her, she felt a warmth in her that she didn't believe came from the Force…

Ahsoka didn't open her eyes, instead just enjoying the slow rise and fall of Max's chest as he lay sleeping under her and her sister wife Rylai.

'How long has it been since I thought about that first day?' she wondered. 'So much has changed since then…'

Ahsoka found that she very much liked all the emotions and sensations she was now allowed to feel. She was very worried at first that she'd fall to the Dark Side if she didn't keep them controlled, but it never happened. Max reminded her that the Defenses she now had would prevent that. If she wanted to Force Choke people, it would be because she wanted to, and not because of some mystical evil whisper in her mind.

Happiness wasn't a feeling she was used to. She used to think she was happy, back in the old days of her and Skyguy running around the galaxy fighting the Separatists, but that was nothing but a hollow feeling to what she felt now.

'Don't think about Anakin. That wasn't your fault in the slightest.'

The only people who deserved her worry was Max and her sisters. As she snuggled into her sleeping husband, she allowed herself to be immersed in the ocean of warmth and caring and love that she felt from her sisters and her man.

It was a strange and crazy road getting to this point, full of long discussions and arguments, but she wouldn't give up her place in the Family for anything.

===== ===== ===== ===== =====

A/N: Welp, we get a glimpse at Ahsoka's first few minutes in her new life. If she hadn't been indoctrinated to accept and believe in the Force so much, would she have been more aggressive? By the time she left the Order, she wasn't the cocky, arrogant Padawan that got the lives of her soldiers killed. Her growth is one of the reasons why she's suck a kick ass character.

I hope the Wally-haters don't see his scene as a cop-out, or me bowing to the mob. If I hadn't given it a lot of thought while trapped at the in-laws, I might have just gone through with my original plan, out of spite (because I'm a bastard like that). But I knew what I had planned wasn't really in line with Max's behavior, and wouldn't have worked with how the story was going. I think what I did works much better, if only because it earns Max some more good credit from the powers that be.

As for Klarion... I hope people weren't expecting some big battle. I contemplated a dual between him and Rylai, but that would just be stupid. Klarion is far too dangerous to give the opportunity of a fair fight, and the fucker would just teleport out if he thought things were going badly for him. Max speed blitzing him into an immediate capture made the most sense (to me). And I think putting him at T9 fits, simply because I tend to tier conservatively in the YJ universe. If he had split the world on his own, then I'd make him a T10. Since he needed help, I'll go with T9.

Now Max has some credits to get some Shroud upgrades.View This ThreadUnread Watched Threads
