Max sighed as he landed on the second level. The rust and dampness seemed more pronounced, and the air was even colder and more oppressive.
He looked around, wondering what kind of monsters he would face this time.
If he remembered correctly, he wouldn't be allowed to leave anymore until he reached the fifth floor and defeated the mini-boss there, but it didn't matter anyway, he planned to defeat it anyways.
He noticed that the cells were even more deteriorated than the ones on the first floor. The bars were rusted and almost falling apart, and the stench of decay was much stronger. He could hear low murmurs and faint whispers from inside the cells, and he knew that these inmates were going to be more aggressive than the last ones.
Max decided to investigate one of the cells that seemed to be the most active. He walked up to it and pushed aside the rusted bars, peering inside.
