Chapter 5

Logan's POV

Flashback

It was a sunny day and聽I聽decided to go for a run with my wolf since he聽wouldn't聽shut up about it.

I was only 10 years old so my wolf聽wasn't聽that big. He was pure black but had a small聽semi lunar聽patch on his right paw.

I kept on running in聽the聽woods that聽surrounded聽the pack house, moving between聽trees聽and jumping from rock to rock. It was a good exercise and聽I聽loved the sun rays that hit my body at different angles. I felt happy but only聽until聽something made me stop.

It was a scent, a weird one. I聽couldn't聽recognize it but the scent was that of a decaying body.聽It was disgusting.

I decided to go check but before聽I聽could take another聽step聽forward聽I聽felt something prick my left leg. I looked and saw a聽small聽needle like thing with a red rubber band and聽its聽end. My leg聽started聽to go numb and聽I聽eventually聽became light headed. I panicked and tried running but my body聽couldn't聽hold me and聽I聽fell face flat on the ground.
