Eva's POV

"Where are you going Crystal?" My聽mother聽asked from聽behind聽me.

"I'm going to play with聽Drake, mommy." My ten year old self answered as聽I聽ran聽towards聽the woods.

I passed trees and bushes as聽I聽made my way聽towards聽the聽place where聽Drake聽and聽I聽would meet and play.

Even though he was six years聽older聽than me, he never failed聽to聽keep me聽company. He would聽always聽play with me when no one else would.

I was聽born聽into a werewolf family but聽I聽was聽born聽without a wolf which made聽everyone聽look down on me.

Us werewolves come to聽life聽with our wolves with us聽but聽we聽don't聽shift聽until we are sixteen years聽of聽age and me not having a wolf made me the pack's disgrace, even my parents聽weren't聽that聽fond聽of me.

Drake聽only聽however was the one that stayed by my side and became my friend.

I was still running between the trees when聽something聽caught my eyes.
