Preparations for Spying

After leaving the throne room, Hope was the first one to speak up.

"Sir Vance, do you really plan on going into enemy territory alone? Isn't that dangerous?"

Vance, hearing this, put his hand on Hope's head and spoke.

"Well A. Yes I do plan on going into enemy territory, B. Of course it's dangerous, and C. Who said I had to go alone?"

In response to Vance's question, the girls seemed to be somewhat shocked. They hadn't thought about whether or not Vance HAD to go alone.

Jess quickly seemed to come up with a question.

"Then Vance, who would you bring?"

"Well bringing two gorgeous and easily recognizable princesses would probably not be the brightest idea. Sarah probably wouldn't be too easily recognizable, but her combat power is quite low. Celine is directly linked with me and has good enough combat power as well as acceptable escape methods. I kind of want to bring little Ava too, I should be able to protect her since she's small enough to be kept on me, plus Celine can watch her if need be. It might be a good idea to bring Ryoko as well. It's never a bad idea to bring some heavy firepower."

"Vance, you talk like you don't count as heavy firepower."

Hearing this, Vance looked away and chuckled dryly. He then spoke. "That may be so, but I still have some preparation to do. Plus I have to see if Ryoko is even willing to come with. She seems like she would prefer an infinite fight more than this type of work."

Hearing this, all of the girls nodded in agreement with Vance's statement.

"Master, don't forget to work on some new abilities. Most of your talents lie in combat. You even use your power over darkness and shadows for frontal combat."

Vance nodded his head. "You're right, I could use some more upgrades. Geez, at the rate I'm getting stronger, I'll be able to destroy a universe soon enough."

This thought caused Hope and Jess to freeze up as they realized the accuracy of Vance's statement.

Celine was the one to speak up.

"Master, I sincerely hope that you don't take to destroying things with no reasoning."

Vance pet Celine's head as he reassured her.

"Don't worry. I have no intention of committing wild acts of destruction. As fun as blowing stuff up is, it would get boring really quick. Plus it's more fun to explore new worlds and have some good fights."

Hearing Vance's words, Hope and Jess recovered and let out a sigh of relief.
