God of Darkness, Godly Darkness Source

Upon reaching the room, Vance immediately got to work on his next skill: God of Darkness.

"I am definitely going to seem real edgy with skills like these. But I plan on being the god of a lot of things. Hey, maybe me and the God I met will be coworkers."

As he designed, Vance pondered nonsensical things like working in a sort of office with God. A short few minutes later he was done with the designing of his new skill. In his hands was a fruit that looked suspiciously like the Dark Dark fruit.

"Master, did you steal that design from a manga?"

"Uh, maybe? Don't worry about it. Just felt convenient."

As he said this, Vance averted his eyes from Celine. Realizing that by doing so he answered her question, Vance turned his attention back to the fruit in his hand. He then ate the fruit. After doing so, the light around Vance seemed to become absorbed by him, seemed to swirl around and fall into an abyss deep inside of him. A short while later of this, the surroundings returned to normal and light returned.

"So this is what it's like being the God of Darkness? It's weird. It seems like Darkness is a very general element? Interesting. It feels like it's a part of gravity. A part of everything. It's the speed of light, yet slower and faster? Hmm. I'll have to experiment later. Man once all of these skills merge it'll be an even weirder feeling."

As he tried to get a feeling for what exactly changed in his senses, he realized that he needed to merge with a Godly Darkness Source next. He then began to work on the designing of the Godly Darkness Source while chatting with Celine.

"Master, if you merge with multiple elemental sources and become a sort of god, will you lose your humanity? As much as we like to see you be powerful, we don't want to lose the you that is, well, you."

"Oh I don't plan on losing myself to power. I'll probably be the same asshole I am now. Plus I have you girls to keep me grounded. I don't want to become one of those, I'll kill you for disrespecting me, type of guys. Like an arrogant prick. I don't plan on exactly being humble either, but y'know I can kinda kill most people with a look. So, not really easy to be humble. But that's besides the point. If it helps, I can make a skill that allows me to maintain my normal mental state."

"I trust you Master. I'll know anyway if something tries corrupting you at the soul level. After all, I technically am part of your soul."

"Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Well putting that aside for now, I'm just about done with the Godly Darkness Source."

As he said this, Vance was putting the finishing touches on the Godly Darkness Source. A short while longer, he was finished.

"Finally, you know, designing these are harder than you think. But each and every one of them end up being worth it."

While saying this, the Godly Darkness Source, a small oval shaped object, appeared in his hand. It was pitch black and it's immediate area seemed to be completely devoid of light. Vance held it up to his chest and seemed to push it in. It slowly sunk into his body and began to merge with him. As it happened, the world seemed to brighten as his body and immediate surroundings appeared to become pitch black. One would noticed the the ground directly under him cracked and appeared to cave in under great pressure, almost as if gravity had increased. It looked as if the God of Darkness, now Vance, had descended from his domain and summoned all the darkness to him. A short period later, the world returned to normal, and Vance seemed to be perfectly fine, however his eyes seemed to contain an abyss of pure shadows and darkness, a pit that one could stare into for hours.

"Master, your eye color hasn't changed but... it feels like your eyes are more now. It seems that as your body absorbs these elemental sources, something like another world will be constructed in your eyes. Or at least that's the aura I feel from them."

"Oh? Does that mean I should absorb a light element source next? Maybe master something other than dreary elements. I'll do Light, Life, and Death soon. Probably. I don't know, it's a lot of guess work at this point. I wonder what exactly I can do with the powers of darkness though. Probably similar stuff to the Shadow Source. They are pretty similar after all. Man it feels like I'm just learning more types of magic. Well whatever. Maybe I can mix my uses of the sources with my Magic God skills. Hey Celine, are there things like ancient relics or inheritances in this world? Or will I have to go to some type of cultivation world?"

"I believe there should be things of that nature in this world Master. You know Master, another useful form of power you could merge into your body would be bloodlines. I suggest that at a later time, you create your own bloodline that can absorb the powers of others into it. Although in doing this, your race may change from human."

"Celine, at this point, I'm not one hundred percent sure that I can be considered a human. Honestly, what human do you know of, who's body is one with the shadows and the worlds darkness. It's a pretty weird feeling, knowing that I'm basically becoming a monster. But at the same time, I don't really know that it's a bad thing. I still feel, I still have people to protect. And losing the basis of my humanity, or in other words, my body and bloodline as a human, lets me protect you all. So I guess... it isn't that bad. But I digress. Hey Celine, let's go name the baby rat I found. Maybe we can let it grow faster."

"Yes Master, let us go name the little rat."

And so they left to name the rat, or in other words, to take a break from transforming Vance into something else... something other than human.
