Feels like home

The next day, I decided to visit Lia. Given that she might feel pretty lonely. Knowing her, she probably would be feeling that way. And I just can't let her be stuck like that. Being in her room all day and on her phone? Nope, that's not happening on my watch.

Since she's pretty picky on days where she doesn't feel that great, I took extra time to pick out snacks that I knew she'd like especially in moments like these. It's probably the perks of making the effort to get to know her better. Well, I certainly got on the right track.

---

I finally woke up, after multiple times of questioning myself if I should still sleep in or not and fighting with my sleepy eyes to stay open. Why are mornings so hard these days?

I feel tired even if I got enough rest. I feel so lazy!

But thankfully, I still got my phone to hold onto. And surprisingly, I got a good morning text from Rian. That's new…

So I naturally messaged him back. After that, he immediately texted me after seeing my message. And told me to open my door for him. He's here? It's so early though?

I then lazily walked up to my door to open it for him. A few seconds later, his calm and peaceful aura greeted me sweetly.

"Morning, what's with the tired eyes?" he immediately asked with a look of concern. He really shouldn't stare into my soul like that, it makes me weak!

"Just tired. You? Why are you here so early?" I replied as if I completely shrugged off the fact that I truly wanted him to visit me today. "Why not? I didn't want you to feel so lonely, Lia. Plus, I'm all free" he casually said as I let him in.

After buying snacks for her, I made sure to aware her of my sudden visit. Although from what I know, she's most likely still asleep by now. So I waited another 30 minutes before heading to her house.

As I knocked on her door, I felt a sudden push of adrenaline. But was completely held back when her face was shown as the door opened. Taken aback, perhaps? By her presence? Her beauty in such a simple yet out of this world form? Her smile that could make anyone smile too? Or maybe her eyes that seems alluring...too alluring rather.

I was plunged back into reality as she gently tapped on my arm. That's cute. Insanely cute. She looks so little in her oversized shirt. Jeez, Lia. I had no idea that it was possible to fall this hard all over again. In the same person, at the same place, but on a deeper level of falling.

"Need something?" I asked as she then pointed to a cupboard.

"I got it. You don't have to prepare stuff for me, Lia. Don't worry about me, okay?" I told her as I reached out to get her a cup. She's too kind, too caring, and too soft. I honestly don't know what to do with all this cuteness of yours, Lia.

"Hey, what's with the bag?" She asked as she saw what I placed on the counter.

"Your favorites" I replied as she excitedly opened the food I brought. Exactly the expression I expected. Lia has this love for food that I can't explain, it's like her support system. And although she doesn't eat as much, her adoration remains consistent.

"Here" I said as I handed her sushi from her favorite shop.

"Jeez, you really didn't have to go all the way there. But, thank you!" She smiled and chuckled as she sat down and organized her snacks.

I sat down and started to put the snack into its containers so I could just reach out to it If I wanted one. Although, it's crazy how he still remembers my favorites. From sweets down to meals. Did he ask mom about it?

"Did you ask mom about it?" I asked as I noticed his soft gaze.

"No, I didn't really have to, Lia" he replied as my thought process began to rumble. So he still remembers all this?

"I still remember it. Besides, I gave a liking to these snacks when I was abroad" he added. That's odd, he wouldn't like any of this because he tends to stay healthy. Sudden change of preference?

I like how she's curious about it. But at the same time, I couldn't be completely honest with everything. Though I do like these snacks, I only liked it because she did. And even if it's not exactly in my field of snack favorites, if she likes it, I'll somehow like it too.

Awhile later, we both finished eating the breakfast i bought. Although, next time I'll make sure to make it homemade. Given the fact that she likes food a hundred times more if it's homemade.

I then ensured that everything was clean and organized for her. And since she's been sick lately, I took the responsibility to take care of her even if she really hesitated multiple times. She's honestly too independent, to the point that she doesn't even care to ask for help even if she badly needs it.

"Do you wanna do something to pass time?" I asked as I noticed the boredom on her face. She then heads to the couch to get a book.

"I don't know, reading a book is all I could think of" she replied as a tint of sadness echoed in her response. I couldn't help but look at her expression.

"C'mon, cuddle up, we'll watch your favorite show" I then happily went to her as she moved towards me. This is home, and I wouldn't trade it for anything else.
