Ch.7 Mysterious grandpa

In the morning, I left and wandered back to see the outside world. for now I'm going to buy breakfast so I don't get bored with the supplies I brought for a few days of wandering. I found a stall by the side of the road and it didn't seem that expensive to eat there. I went inside and ordered food for breakfast. it's simple the important thing is it can be for me half a full day or until dinner. While eating, I saw an old vulnerable old man begging for food, but the owner of the food stall kicked him out because he had been begging for several times. my heart felt pity and pity to see the grandfather. I finished my food and ordered 1 more for the grandfather to eat. immediately after being made I rushed to meet the grandfather. It was also difficult to find him and after how many times I turned around I found the grandfather taking shelter on the side of the road under a tree.

"Grandpa, here I am bringing food for Grandpa. I saw Grandpa at the stall and I ordered 1 because Grandpa was very hungry". I said while giving the food I ordered.

"Thank you young man, God bless you" said the old man with feelings of joy and sadness.

I didn't go straight away, I sat next to him talking to him.

"Where's Grandpa's family? Grandpa alone?" I asked

"Yes son, grandfather alone since childhood. I don't know who my grandfather's family is. From childhood, grandfather was taken care of by daycare and ran away from that place".

"Why did Grandpa run away from day care? Isn't it better there, Grandpa?" asked curiously.

"I got a call out of nowhere, I have to leave that place and go see the world. One day I will meet a kind traveler who will stand by me while he learns about what he is looking for in this world for me". said the old man with a serious face.

I suddenly felt trembling with the words of the grandfather, because his authority really felt like a great leader who was giving directions to his subordinates.

said the grandfather,

"What are you looking for in this world, ub? or should I call it Multi ubub?" he said suddenly.

I was surprised how the old man did not know my identity. I thought it was a joke at first

"Grandpa what are you talking about? hahaha" while diverting the conversation.

"Grandfather talked about you ub. What are you looking for in this outside world?"

I can no longer deny that my identity is indeed Multi ubub. so I just continued our conversation.

"I just want to see the outside world of cake, what it looks like and take something from what I've seen so far to be of value"

"Aren't you wandering because of heartache and your life is starting to go wrong? So you want to learn from people in the outside world?" said the grandfather

I understand what the old man said. I felt what the older brother meant too, like at school I had to fight to be the best in school. So far I can keep up but not being the best in school or in class being the middle one.

After walking how far, in front there is a mall where there is something like a celebration festival inside. I go inside and have a look. with me looking like a traveler with a small bag, a leather jacket like a motorbike, a hat like a cowboy, and shoes like a mountain climber. At first glance people see me as a stranger who doesn't know where it came from. exhibitions, some open food, beverage, luxury goods outlets and so on. crowded and also noisy. when I approached a tent to see what they were showing off and next to me was tania. I cooled off so as not to be caught and so he wouldn't notice me. there was a mother who accidentally nudged me and the drink she was carrying spilled a little bit on my clothes.

"Oops, sorry sir, I didn't do it on purpose" said the mother

"Yes ma'am, it's okay. The important thing is that no one was hurt".

I didn't realize my hat fell when I ducked down to help the mother and I was caught by Tania. we looked at each other awkwardly about this. I rushed to help the mother and was indifferent to what Tania's response would be. After helping the mother, I excused myself to leave immediately. said the mother,

"Wait a minute, sir, let's change your clothes first. Sorry, we don't feel good if we let it go"

"heheh it's okay ma'am, everything is not free from mistakes heheh"

"No sir, let's change your clothes. But it seems too old if I call you sir. It doesn't suit you, so I'll just call you"

"Oops, sorry for bothering you, I'll just go right away"

I tried to leave because the atmosphere was so awkward. but the mother is still insisting so what can I just come along.

"Speaking of which sister, where did you come from? He looks like a foreigner, I see" the mother asked

"ee... I'm from far away ma'am, rarely people know where I come from hehe" I answered awkwardly because I was in the middle of the mother and Tania. I think this mother is Tania's mother and my guess is correct because Tania calls her Mami.

"Mi, mom, you know the student who suddenly disappeared without news from my school?" asked Tania

I tried to be quiet while following the two of them, while chatting as well and eliminating the awkwardness towards tania. "When can I go..." in my heart.

After a long chat, my clothes were changed, I quickly said goodbye and left because I thought it would be strange if I lingered with them for so long. If I look around, Tania doesn't have any response to what I actually experienced. that's where my meeting with tania first i thought. It's a relief to be apart but these changed outfits provide moments and memories. I hope I can face this memory and deal with it well. I went back around the exhibition in the mall while looking to see if there was anything that caught my attention. I also feel bored if what is on display is only luxury items, that's all, like the latest cellphones, the latest electronic devices and others. I took a deep breath and then heard a very pleasant voice this ear. I followed and followed where the voice came from. the sound came from an exhibition about regional musical instruments and the sound I heard earlier came from a musical instrument called Tulila. melodious and soothing to the soul for those who are artistic. I thought it would also be interesting if I had 1 to accompany me on my odyssey. So I bought 1 deaf and learned a bit to be able to play notes. After learning a bit I was able to play a few notes and started creating my own simple notes. this tool will accompany me wandering and as my entertainment in my spare time.

it doesn't feel like night is coming. I was looking for a place to spend the night around that place. Then I met the old man again. I was surprised he could just appear in front of me.

"Gosh grandpa! You just surprised me..." with a sigh.

"hahaha sorry grandpa, grandpa didn't think we'd meet again ub. what a coincidence". he said

It just so happened that neither of us had dinner yet, so I shared the bread I brought with me to stock up with Grandpa.

"By the way ub, how was your day?" asked grandpa

while enjoying bread.

"Then where did your new clothes come from?"

I was silent while chewing bread,

"mmmmmm someone gave me cake, for soiling my clothes earlier"

"Is he the one?" Grandpa asked again

"Oh yeah? That person is very kind huh. But Grandpa is sure you must know him. Isn't that right?"

I was surprised to hear Grandpa,

"What is it?" I asked curiously

we chatted all night and spent time together telling stories. until the next morning the grandfather disappeared again. indeed for now me and grandfather will continue to meet in unexpected places. he will teach me how to live this life properly and correctly and wisely.
