Due to his specialty in illusions and charm, he was able to develop two formulas for a hallucination poison and an aphrodisiac, which could be concocted with regular herbs except for the two saint tier herbs called immortal daisy and yin flower, which he had to purchase in the sword capital.

They arrived in Sword capital after an hour and immediately headed towards a pre-reserved inn at the main square. They smoothly checked in, and they immediately left after checking their rooms. Chu Lingxin immediately headed towards the sword wall under the company of two peak saint stage seniors, and Jiang Mang headed to a medicinal shop under the alchemist organization to procure the two saint herbs. He was also followed by two peak saint stage seniors but also by Xiao Lu, who was a low-rank saint beast. Xiao Lu, who had equal cultivation as Jiang Mang was way stronger than him as it could rival high-rank saint beasts who could rival high saint stage cultivators who had comprehended a small accomplishment intent. The store was quite empty as not many people besides doctors and alchemists required them, and these professions were quite rare in the outer domain. Jiang Mang gave a list of all the herbs he required. The attendant went to get them. When she was gone, Jiang Mang asked the accompanying seniors to help him look around and inform him if there were some rare poisonous herbs. Unfortunately, there weren't any for sale, which dampened his spirit a bit. Fortunately, the maid was able to procure all the herbs for a reasonable price of 2500 spirit coins, which they could afford.

He paid for the herbs and collected them in his new storage ring before preparing to leave. While he was leaving, a young girl in alchemist robes entered and asked loudly to prepare an immortal daisy for her. This announcement surprised Jiang Mang as it was for one of the same herbs he had just purchased. He, however, didn't halt and walked towards the door. Unfortunately, the maid who had previously attended him had responded to the young girl, that the last immortal daisy was sold to him.

This made the young girl look at the pretty boy who had just passed her. She blocked his way so that he couldn't leave. The two seniors who accompanied Jiang Mang didn't interfere as they knew that she was an alchemy apprentice who shouldn't be attacked for no reason.

Jiang Mang halted and turned his head towards her direction with an aloof look as he couldn't see her attire and thus didn't know her profession. When she looked into his aloof lazy eyes, she was angered as nobody had ever looked at her with those eyes. She, however, stayed calm as she wanted the immortal daisy he had purchased. She kept looking at him before speaking: " My name is Feng Xue, and I would like to buy that immortal daisy you just bought. I can pay you twice its worth or something of equivalent value." Feng Xue thought that he would kindly accept her offer, as she was a pretty young girl and an alchemist. Contrary to her expectations, he refused with a single no and wanted too directly leave.

His behavior angered her, and she continued to block his way. This conversation troubled the two seniors beside Jiang Mang, but they knew that he also needed the herb for the recruitment for him and Chu Lingxin's sake as they would have advised him to agree in other circumstances.

Jiang Mang was angered by her pestering but before he could speak she attacked him with her early saint realm cultivation. Feng Xue was a well-known cultivation and alchemy genius in the outer domain. She is known as the fire saintess who had reached the saint realm at the age of 17 a month ago. She had comprehended initial mastery scorching intent due to her phoenix profound spirit, which made her qi contain both fire and life properties, which allowed her to become an alchemist and expert fire cultivator. Due to her young age, she was not yet a ranked genius, but she was more talented than most of them and could probably rival the top 3 in talent.

Her remark startled him but made him start laughing and even forget his anger from being attacked and pestered. His laugh surprised Feng Xue but also enraged her further.
