Silent tears streamed from the corners of her eyes and landed on the pillow. Synopses of morning played in front of her optics, again and again, making her feel revolted. She felt so weak and vulnerable at that moment. It has happened again when somebody tried to force themselves on her and she wasn’t able to save herself. Loneliness and agony wrapped around the room like a thick blanket. A bone-chilling shiver ran down her spine as the last sentence of Gahlot echoed in the silent room.
‘I will come to you again.’
Tara instantly hugs herself before curling into a small ball and let out a loud sob, which followed another. Her eyes were raw due to all crying but still, the tears didn’t stop. She wishes someone was there to protect her. She missed her parents whereas the heart ached for the soothing words of aunt Zhea. She craved to be consoled.
