chapter 22 turning point one

when I woke up I looked to my right Eris is sleeping next to me with her sword I got her.

I slowly get up and wash my face and head out.

my destination was a Tower I was told not to go into. as I headed up into the tower I heard voices it seems as things are getting hot and heavy with curiosity getting the better of me I decided to see who was having very good morning morning. when I got there I seen Seros and one of the beastmaids finishing up. the beast maid ran past me when Seros ask me <what are you doing here>

I coming to the small room and bowed and I apologized for my curiosity with Seros saying that it was fine he then back into me to the window where he pointed at the strange black sphere floating in the sky I asked him <what is that thing> he responds with<I don't know what it is but I don't think it's a bad thing> I quietly shake my head and ask<are you sure about that did you have anyone check it out> he replied<had the mages guild check it out and they don't have a clue> I then said<Seros don't you think you should let the kingdom know about this the last thing you want is for something to happen and then getting blamed for it if you tell people about it now and something does happen it's not coming out of the blue I also think it would be a really good idea to set up some emergency funds in case something does come up> Seros begin scratching his chin as he said <sounds like a good idea. do you want to come with me and help me on some matters> I nod enthusiastically saying yes I would love to.

and just like that 2 years ended up going by

these are some of the things that happened in those two years.

with lancelot's help my brother Rudy is now Saint rank in all attack magics. me Rudy and Eris have with lancelot's help started fighting like an actual adventure team and speaking of strength ghislaine can no longer keep up with me she can now only beat me three out of 10 times. I also got trained in the water god style bye water God Rita cruel and I achieved King rank in the water God style. Eris with a Little help from me and ghislaine she has achieved Saint rank in the sword God style and advanced in North God style.

thanks to some of my work with Seros my little village has grown into a nice size town we even have our own little adventure guild there. I hear that even sylphy has joined the adventures guild she picks up our jobs from there for extra money. speaking of adventures our adventuring group the wolves of war are now C rank. also I was hatching up a plan to give my brother Rudy and sylphy the best birthday gift. my plan was to use the boreas connection to give my brother and sylphy a really good magic staff. turns out I have just enough money for two and it wiped out my savings completely here's hoping that they like it.

my brothers is going to be the more impressive one in the one that sylphy getting is going to be nothing to sneeze at either. after all she made it with mine and Rudy's help to Saint rank in three elements the only one she has a hard time with is fire and she too is climbing the ranks of the adventures guild and when she finally made it to C rank we added her to our party and she became a member of the wolves of war. my sisters are growing up happy and healthy my little sister norn seems to be the shy type and Aisha is really outgoing and a super clingy. I often have to get on to Aunt Lilia for what she's teaching Aisha. I understand that Lilia feels that she owes me. that doesn't mean Aisha does I'd rather just have Aisha be a normal sister and to do what she likes. apparently they're both getting magic lessons from sylphy norn seems to be having trouble with it while Aisha is a natural both are learning incantation less casting. Lancelot also comes by often mostly to flirt with ghislaine apparently it has been decided that after Eris turns 15 ghislaine will take up lancelots proposal and marry him so that is something to look forward to. and yes there were a lot of assassination attempts against me mainly from my uncle pymon.

about a week from Rudy's 10th birthday and we hear that our little town is suffering a monster infestation coming out of nowhere. so I asked Seros if my party can head back home to help out with the situation in that way we'd also be able to celebrate my brother's birthday at home

Seros agreed so then it was time to get packed for the trip home although we will be fighting monsters for most of it.

me Rudy Eris and ghislaine headed off for the town of Buena. when we got there I see a very Haggard Paul and laws seem to be under the weather too. when Paul asked what I was doing there I responded that we are the reinforcements and that we were sent by Seros.

Paul nodded and said <we could use the help>

so after we greeted them we went to the house to unpack and after we were done unpacking it was to the field to my surprise even sylphy joined us when she did I gave her the magic staff I had bought. it was so cute to see her eyes go wide at the staff as she timidly<can I really have something so expensive> I laughed and said <of course a great mage needs a great staff> then I said <speaking of which I know it's not quite your birthday yet but here's my gift for you> Rudy's eyes went big too as he seen his magic staff and begin thanking me and I simply said no problem same thing you are a great mage and therefore you should have a great staff. after that was said and done it was time to begin exterminating the monsters.

in an entire week Blew by I had never seen so many Assault Dogs and Terminate Boars in one place there was almost too many to count but we got them under control and then the day came for Rudy's 10th birthday celebration. there was great food drinks all around and then it was time for the presents Paul gave Rudy some gauntlets that he had lying around apparently they're a magic item but because they never fit him he didn't know what they did. although they were a big on him they seem to work it created something like a barrier around the hand and after testing it. it turned out to be a king tear barrier that each of the gauntlets could create. mother gave him a book about some guy whose summoned a fiend that you cannot control and ended up getting eaten by it. sylphy gives him a bracelet Eris gives him a really nice charcoal gray mages coat Lily I gave him new leather boots. and as the party was going on I seen sylphy and Eris talking in private not wanting to disturb them I decided to wait and then ask what they were talking about later.

when it was time for sylphy to go home I volunteered to walk her home even though she would have been fine by herself it still would have been rude if I the gentleman didn't escort her home.

on our way home I asked her what she and Eris discussed sylphy all of a sudden turns completely red and starts fidgeting looking absolutely adorable. when she finally stammers out <Eris gave me permission to be your second wife> after hearing this it was my turn to turn beat red. and we awkwardly walk the rest of the way to her house when laws saw us he greeted sylphy and told her to go in. and she went in law said to me <I'm not going to give my daughter up without a fight> I couldn't look laws in the face but just mumbled <yes sir> and ran all the way home embarrassed and had to deal with some teasing from my dad and mom after which I too went to bed tomorrow we'd be packing up for our trip back.

as we're getting ready to leave and I was saying goodbye to everyone even sylphy came by. I noticed and brought to attention everyone is a bright light that was heading towards us now in the back of my mind from one of the books I read it looked to me to be like teleportation magic as it was coming quickly towards us the only thing I could think of was to grab as many people as I could before the light enveloped me and everything went dark.
