chapter 20 truth about my sword blessed child

basils POV

we made it to sylphy house and asked her mother if she could play for a bit what is your mother responded with yes she can. sylphy hearing that I was back came flying out of the house and gave me a huge hug. seeing all this go down I could see some jealousy in Eris eyes.

after a little bit she let go. we went to our spot on the hill where we practice some magic and had a couple sparring sessions.

after a little while it was time to go home. mom greeted us when we came back we sat down and ate a delicious meal. the next day nothing much happened I played with Aisha and Norn. played a little bit with sylphy came home had dinner and went to bed in the next day we would start our trip back to Roa.

on our journey home he ran into a couple of would be assassins fortunately ghislaine and me could handle them with ease. but other than that our trip was pretty good when we got to the mansion we greeted Seros and Philip and went to our respective rooms to unpack our things.

the next day sir Lancelot Griffin was visiting. I gave him my greeting and then he took a look at the sword that I was carrying on my belt then he asked <can I see that sword for a moment please> so I draw my sword and give it to him he looks at it for a moment and his eyes went wide. he says <do you know what this sword is> without even waiting for my reply he continues <this is one of the four legendary holy swords>

I replied with<really I don't remember hearing anything about four holy swords> Lancelot chuckles and said<not many people do know about them. what I know about them is there's one for every element yours is the water element mine is of the fire element> I interrupted him with <wait you have one too> yes he replied he then pulled his out and showed it to me the blade almost looked like it was on fire and had a phoenix pummel on it.

<where did you get it>Lancelot asked and I replied<it was a gift from the Boris for my 10th birthday> Lancelot replied<hell of a birthday gift> it was at this time now I had to excuse myself because it was time for swordsman practice and when I told him this he said<let me join you> I shrugged and said okay.

when we got to the courtyard that we used for practice Lancelot ran over to ghislaine you started to shower her with praise and when lessons were about to start he backed off and asked if he could watch which he was given permission to do so.

after our practice swings it came down to sparring which the first two to spar was Rudy and Eris. to no one's surprise Eris won several of their practice bouts. although when Rudy used magic with his sword play he almost always won. then it was my turn my opponent was ghislaine at first our sparring only includes sword god style. when only using sword got style I can beat her two out of 10 times. when we spar and I can use all my styles I can beat her three out of 10 times. after my sparring with ghislaine I looked Lancelot in the eye and seen that something was on his mind. so I asked <a copper for your thoughts> he shakes his head and says <I'd like to spar with you sometime do you have free time now> I replied <yes I'm free at the moment let's do this> he picks up a wooden sword and he was caring his shield.

ghislaine was going to give the signal for a match to begin. I took my signature god flash stance and as soon as the signal was given I launched forward at incredible speed only for Lancelot to block with his shield. I had to make a quick back step to avoid his Counter-Strike with his sword it seems to me that he's using a mixture of North God and water God styles. no matter how fast I seem to go I can't break his defense. Lancelot smiled and said <it's been awhile since someone's been able to keep me on my toes but now it's my turn to go on to the attack> and with that he started charging forward completely shutting down all my attacks and pushing me back it was only a matter of time before he got the winning blow in.

Lancelot looks at me and says <you're about a King rank in North God style which is really unusual for someone your age> after saying that he trails off saying that he needs to see Philip and Saros and he leaves. I get myself off the ground and go inside to get cleaned up. and we were walking inside I started teasing ghislaine about what she going to do with his proposal. into my surprise she says <maybe after Eris becomes an adult and marries you I'll think I might take him up on his offer> she said this with a blush on her face.

Lancelot Griffins POV

after my sparring with the young man known as basil I'm almost certain of it that he is a blessed child. if the kingdom were to find out about this I'm afraid what would happen to the kid. he would be used as a tool even have his name stripped from him so I decided to go bring this up too Seros and Philip.

after asking one of the maids that I had something important to tell them I was right into the reception room where I waited. and then Seros came busting through the door with Philip trailing right behind Seros was yelling<what did you want to see me for> I'm bowed to him and said<I have reasons to believe that basil is a blessed child> Phillips said <are you sure> I nod my head and continue speaking<I am very sure after my sparring session with him I am absolutely sure there is no way that a 10-year-old should be that strong it should be impossible and he seems to have a very keen insight it's like he can look into a person's eyes and see the person for who and what they really are and before you ask I'm going to keep quiet about this because I don't want him being used like a pawn> Philip nodded and Seros said <we will not speak of this anymore do not tell anyone else besides I want him to take over the house of Boris> with that we all nodded in agreement that nobody else will know.

me and Eris went to go to our etiquette teacher

and she asked me if Eris could have some more lessons because her 10th birthday is coming up and she needs to prepare and learn how to dance I chuckled to myself and said this is going to be interesting.
