The day it all started (II)

Eric stops writing for a moment and checks the time on his black and white colored watch on his wrist.

"Hm, already 8:30 pm? It's getting late. I should get some sleep in, besides it's not like she's going to go anywhere tonight. Right?.."

Eric sat in his car in confusion for a few minutes before deciding to sleep since he's been awake well over 20 hours.

"Oh my- it's already 8:30 pm? I should put away my books, and get some sleep. I have a busy day tomorrow with studying, and I think I'll spend the rest of the day with a few friends, but first I'll take a shower then go to sleep."

Rose walks into the bathroom, and turns on her shower. After a few moments of waiting for the perfect temperature she likes, she gets in and begins her shower.

"Today was a bit hot out, and it was also really nice out."

She said while looking up at the water falling onto her head.

"Well no use thinking about it since I'll be busy tomorrow with studying and friends.. I feel like I was suppose to meet them today, but I'm not sure."

After an hour of showering she gets out and changes her clothes. She walks out of the bathroom and heads into her room and lays down on her bed.

"This is the life though, comfy bed, and nothing else to do for today. This is really the best ever!"

She exclaimed happily to herself before falling asleep.

The next morning, she woke up to the sound of her alarm. She got up within a few minutes of tossing and turning.

"Ugh, It's already morning? I wanted to sleep more. Whatever I guess."

Rose said while being upset due to the amount of sleep she wanted to get. She gets changed and goes downstairs, there she sees her family and decides to sit at the table with them.

"Oh? What a surprise. You rarely eat with us in the mornings, what's going on? Something must've happened for this sudden change."

Her mother said, while being curious if something changed in her everyday life.

"Before any of that. Did you ever return the money you were supposed to?"

Rose's father said, while being in a serious tone.

Rose then dropped her phone onto the table, and suddenly remembers what she forgot about the other day.

"Holy shit, I forgot all about it. I'll do it now"

She said while picking up her phone in a rush and putting it into her pocket, and running off upstairs to get the money.

Rose's father looked up from his book he was reading.

"This is what I told you about the other day. This is why we need to keep a closer watch on her, I swear, she always gets into trouble when not trying to."

Rose ran into her bedroom, walked up to her desk, and grabbed the money. She walks out of the bedroom and goes back downstairs.

"Well I'll get going to return this, and then I'll be back later today, buy people!"

She walked outside while giggling a bit, and began to walk towards the library.

"Eric! My boy, have you gotten any news on the girl yet? You know it's running closer and closer to the time where everything in your life comes to an end."

Eric woke up suddenly from hearing the boss's voice in his ear and responded.

"Yes sir, I understand that, and also speak of the devil I see the girl outside right now and she…. she has the money boss."

The boss's eyes opened, and he smiled for a moment before returning to his natural state.

"Very well, if you get the money to me within the next 4 hours, I'll double your pay."

Eric's eyes shined like a bright light or ray coming from a diamond.

"Yes sir! I'll get it now."

Eric pulls off from his parking spot and parks his car a bit further than rose and waited.

"Come on, I need this pay day. It's going to be wonderful once I can clear this money into my account."

A few minutes passed by and rose comes up to the vehicle, Eric gets out and tries to speak to Rose.

"Hey uh, do you know where the nearest place to eat is here?"

Rose stopped for a moment and responded to him.

"Uh, I think there's a place like two miles from here if you keep going west, it has breakfast options, drinks, coffee, tea, and I think that's all."

Eric responds happily

"Oh, why thank you so much. What's the name of the place, so I can put it on my gps?"

Rose started to think about the name of the restaurant and eventually responds after a few seconds of thinking. "Uh, I think there's a place like two miles from here if you keep going west, it has breakfast options, drinks, coffee, tea, and I think that's all."

Eric responds happily

"Oh, why thank you so much. What's the name of the place, so I can put it on my gps?"

Rose started to think about the name of the restaurant and eventually responds after a few seconds of thinking.

"It's called "Yellow Barn's breakfast". It's quite a lovely place. Is there anything else you need?"

Eric took a moment and reached into his pocket and took out his phone and wrote something down in his notepad app, and then he put the phone back into his pocket.

"Ah no, thank you for the help though, miss uh?"

"Oh, you can call me Rose. Rose hinonami, to be exact. I know, kind of weird last name for the country we're in, but it is what it is."

"Oh, I see well thank you miss Rose."

Eric was about to turn around when suddenly he said.

"Oh yeah, before I go I need to make sure this is the correct place for breakfast, is this it?"

Eric turned back around to rose reaching into the same pocket with his phone in it, and took out a rag instead. He then pulled rose towards him, and covered her face with a rag while dragging her into the back of his car.

"J-just stay still, damn it!"

Eric responded while Rose was attempting to get away from her face being smothered by the rag blocking her way of breathing.

"MmmNmmm"

Rose attempted to speak, but couldn't due to the rag.

After a minute had passed by, Rose finally passed out from lack of oxygen, and Eric took the rag away and tied her hands, and legs together.

"Jesus Christ man. I didn't sign up for all of this. Well, whatever. I better be getting paid hella lot soon."

Eric said, while taking deep breaths, being a bit exhausted from Rose fighting back so much. Eric started his car and drove off.

"Boss, I got her in the back, I have the money, and I also tied her hands and legs together, so she won't fight even if she wakes up before we get there, sir."

"Perfect, you're doing wonderful Eric. Once you're here, we are going to need to interrogate her by any means necessary. Remember, the operation we're running cannot be completed with any loose ends at all."

"Yes sir, I understand. I'll be there within fifteen minutes."

The boss hung up the phone and said to the people in the room at the moment.

"Well, it looks like we're going to be having a guest visit us soon. Make sure to prepare everything for code 4538091."

"Yes sir!"

They all said and walked away towards the rim with the interrogation equipment.
