Destination: Mountain Glenn

Hanns has begun his expedition to Mountain Glenn. After leaving Blake to stuff as much dust into his ammo racks and going back to Beacon, Hanns left in the middle of the night in his Tiger H1.

He glanced behind at the glowing city in the distance as he felt the air growing ice-cold. The engine he had as he would hope, would dull the decreasing temperature he expected during the climb towards Mountain Glenn.

The landscape went from red rows of trees swaying in the wind, to becoming luscious green forests and finally uneven barren dirt ground. He eyed the inclines he would need to navigate and felt uneasy.

Tanks were never the best thing to use to climb up slopes, tracks were usually best for the cross country yet something about slopes triggered something in his mind. Switching from his Tiger to his Panzer IV H he felt the heavier armor of the Tiger shrinking to the size and the thickness of his Panzer IV H's lighter armor.

Noticing the steeper incline in front of him he stopped his treads and observed the angle he would need to overcome. He could make it if he had a running start, the rocks would make his hold on the dirt weaker as he moved further into Mountain Glenn so he would have to compensate with speed.

Reversing a good distance away, he churned the earth and sped towards the incline. As he reached the start of the slope he saw his speed rapidly declining, He could feel the treads working their hardest to grip what they could.

The crest of the slope was close and he only needed a push but he felt his engines reaching their limit and he let go of the climb. Rolling back down the slope and feeling every rock on the way back down, he prepared to reattempt his climb.

This time he would go further away. Reaching max speed off-road was never ideal in any world, warthunder or not. He went to an extra running start and started to accelerate towards the slope.

He felt his suspension jounce from the sudden change in upwards direction as he crept up higher and higher from the steep slope. Finally reaching its apex after the second try he looked around at the path he wanted to follow to reach Mountain Glenn.

He saw the dozens of other slopes lying in front of him which Hanns exhaled deeply at the sight. He could already feel his engine burning hot from the effort he needs to do and his transmission groaning from the inclines.

'This is going to take a while, maybe a day or two.' He slowly let his turret travel upwards as he took in the view of the mountain standing in his way, waiting to be traversed.

'Or a week.'

Feeling disgusted at the fact he couldn't farm for a while for SL and RP he distracted himself at the lonely climb to Mountain Glenn. He tried counting how many small hills he would need to climb but that would just perpetuate his suffering. He tried looking at the clouds to see what shapes they would make but he wasn't the creative type.

He couldn't get his mind off the fact that he would spend the next few days just traveling. He saw the necessity for air travel, though the 1 million RP and SL price tag was a hard goal to reach.

Trying to travel to Mountain Glenn would also mean missing out on missions. The missions themselves were modified to Hanns' current world. Most of the missions were from warthunder themselves but were changed to fit the universe he was in.

It was a shame but he didn't know what other things he could do to gain SL and RP during his trek.

The last time he experienced this exact situation was when he exterminated everything in sight within Forever Fall. This depopulation meant he needed to travel hours at a time to reach areas he hadn't annihilated the local grimm.

He passed the time by reading the help page over and over again. Because at this point that was his only source of making himself not get bored out his mind while he drove.

'Hmm, Movement, Ammo Types, Modification. I've read this too many times now, Crew and Squad?'

Hanns eyed the help page for the crew. It was the same as before, only displaying information on how to make use of crews like assigning a flag tank and giving out a tank for them to operate. A severe lack of information on how to assign them though.

'I need to ask the moderator for better instructions and if I could bring out more info on him like if it counts their tanks as separate tanks and makes the RP and SL they gain count towards my earnings.'

Closing his hud, he could see dawn breaking on the horizon. He felt a sigh of relief that he could better see.

'I mean I could just throw around artillery somewhere once in a while but I doubt they can be accurate when I'm so far away.'

Selecting his artillery support from his hud he picked out a random spot from the forests below him and saw as the artillery hit nothing and only toppled a few trees and leave craters on the empty patch of ground.

'I still detest this 5000-second cooldown.'

Back at Beacon…

"As many of you may know, a large and unidentified explosion occurred in the middle of the night. Exact times may vary but it happened around midnight.'

Ozpin was currently holding the entire student body in attendance in the auditorium they had. Last night, students of Beacon were assured that they would get answers from the headmaster. In that promise, he also invited a few of the reporters that wanted to get his statement.

News and theories were already being spread around like wildfire on forums. Some say an accident occurred, others blamed Atlas while others placed the incident on crime lords fighting over territory.

"An extensive investigation was held immediately after the explosion settled, and traces of dust were seen and collected from the site of the explosion. This was a direct tie to the string of robberies that happened lately in dust stores around the commercial district."

The students started murmuring to each other, the reports present were also taking notes from the headmaster himself. As the headmaster, Ozpin has a say in the affairs of Vale as a whole. Having a seat in the council made it so his words still hold weight in them.

"We cannot say for sure, but we believe the explosion was a mishap on the perpetrator of these dust robberies. That is all."

Reporters immediately hounded the headmaster asking more questions regarding the incident. Ozpin saw it fit to cancel a class or two to let the students ease in from the panic. Can't learn if you fear getting blown up by a dust bomb in the middle of Vale after all.

The students were let go after the whole announcement and team RWBY was currently taking in the information that was given to them by the headmaster.

Blake was still swaying her head, not getting enough sleep for 2 days straight made it so she couldn't keep up and spent the entire time sleeping while her eyes were open. A talent she learned that she had yesterday.

Weiss was visibly concerned, anything related to dust was her priority as the heiress to the SDC. Insurance that they gave to those who got robbed only made their profits worse. It would benefit her if she closely examined the developments.

Yang didn't care much, she was still acting like normal. She was a bit concerned for her sister, walking around in Vale with the threat of a dust bomb being detonated made her feel uneasy since Ruby and the others went to Vale for their dust supply and other necessities.

Ruby on the other hand had mixed feelings, knowing that Blake was probably the one who set the explosion shook her consciousness a bit.

Though after confirmation that only a few people were wounded, their identities were censored from the public. In fear that they would be overwhelmed by reporters. The last thing they would need is to be questioned when they should be recovering after all. She could rest easy that her creation didn't lead to any deaths.

Ruby could see that Blake was trying her best to stay up, her bags were getting more noticeable but makeup made it so it was less seen.

A while later at lunch, Ruby nudged Blake who still hadn't touched her food on the table. Ruby leaned in closer to whisper at her. Cupping her hands to make sure her voice wouldn't reach the others.

"Blake, talk to me in our room later." She quietly said.

Without anything else to say, Blake nodded without a care as she was too preoccupied catching more sleep. Unnoticed by the rest of the people on the table, namely her teammates and team JNPR. She had mastered sleeping in plain sight by not closing her eyes.

Classes went by and Ruby met up with Blake in their room. Ruby gently closed the door behind her as Blake lazily sat on her bedside, the moment she touched the bed she could feel her body instinctively try to immediately grab the pillow and fall asleep right then and there but Ruby stood in front of her which prevented that.

"What did you want to talk about Ruby?"

"I know your secret Blake."

Blake's eyes shot up in horror as she immediately reacted by trying to jump out the window. Which Ruby stopped because her semblance is literally speed. Blake had a lot of secrets locked away, so the moment Ruby said she knew one, she didn't want to risk it.

"Wait! I know you're a vigilante!"

'What?' Blake wasn't a vigilante but Blake recalled that Hanns made her into one so it's technically what she is now.

"I know you're trying to help save people and stuff like a hero but you shouldn't overdo it!" Ruby said while still yanking Blake back from the window.

While Ruby rambled on, Blake was relieved.

'It's ok, she hadn't figured out my faunus heritage. More importantly, she didn't know she was White Fang.'

She stopped trying to leap out the window before remembering what Hanns told her the night before. She could take this opportunity on Ruby's misunderstanding of her actions created.

'Maybe I should let Ruby make up the whole vigilante thing?' Blake was not one to trick people but someone like Ruby just made it easy for her to make the whole thing up. Though was that really for the best?

"Why are you so concerned with me, Ruby?"

"Because you're my teammate and uhm you're… my friend." Ruby sputtered on and on, it was really hard to follow what she was doing when she was like this. Though Blake had caught the friend part.

'Was she considering someone two days into meeting them as your friend?'

"Friend?"

"Yeah! I mean I'm sorry to assume but-" Ruby was confident at the declaration but as soon as she saw Blake's reaction she deflated for a bit.

"It's fine." Blake replied. Ruby perked up at the fact that she made another friend. Although maybe making a weapon of mass destruction for them wouldn't be the best way to make new friends.

"I'll take it easy for now if you say so, leader." Blake would let Ruby's idea of her being a vigilante stick for now.

Blake was going to make Ruby think she is a vigilante, the idea itself didn't seem too bad. Maybe she could become one after the whole situation at the industrial district. It would make a better cover story for the others until she could confidently reveal her being a faunus and her history with the White Fang.

Blake took a look at the elated Ruby and sighed.

'It is a bit endearing to have her a friend.'
