Multiverse: Undefeated Bahamut Chronicles

Travelling through unpopular verses: Starting From Undefeated Bahamut Chronicles. I want to see how far I can go with this one. My experience in writing is still mid, but I'll try my best. He died in his previous world without living a fulfilled life. However, he got a second chance he never asked for nor wished for. At the same time, perhaps seeking a more fulfilled life, he decides to see where this new crazed journey will lead him. .... Author's note: Wasn’t supposed to release this until I had at least 15k words, but at the same time. I’m curious to see how much interest there is in these not-so-popular anime verses because there are lots out there. (Skill issue on my part if I don't get much readers). Some might not like them, but I have an interest in them. Then, when I thought about it, I decided, why not. I'm also curious about what insanity I'll cook from these. I'll be the one to decide which worlds he goes to next. P.S: Mc doesn't know anything about the world's he'll be travelling to. Don't expect it to be a high-quality fic, and don't expect too much. Warning: if you don't like it, you can kindly drop and leave, or drop a valid and helpful review, any bot review or hate comment will be deleted sharply. (I deleted my last fic because of that).

Chapter 1

Today was sunny.

With the sky being sunny, along with cloudy skies which where hardly blocking the sun.

Everybody around the area where doing the usual thing they do.

Be they heading to work, or trading, everything was going well on this beautiful day.

Well, mostly everyone except a single boy sitting on a bench in a small park not far off from the main street.

"So, it all came down to this," he muttered, ruffling his raven hair in annoyance.

Dressed in a white t-shirt, black pants, and tennis shoes, the sixteen-year-old appeared frustrated.

"This sucks on several levels."

The young boy muttered quietly again, before pursing his lips, his gaze drawn to the two swords beside him.

One had a pure white sheath with yellow lines and a grey hilt.

The other, with an iridescent platinum sheath, displayed seven colors when observed closely.

"So... what am I doing here again?"

He gulped down, clasping his hands together as he tried forming a train of thoughts.

However, the more he thought of it, the more annoyed he got.

"I never asked for any of this."

He grumbled, with annoyed and gritted teeth, veins popping up on his forehead.

"Huff... Calm, Rayto, calm."

He told himself, exhaling forcefully to calm his nerves.

"Okay... how did this happen?"

After calming down, he clutched his head with both hands, closing his eyes.

"That's right—"

"I... died..."

His voice trailed off as he says those sentence, sadness mixing with his features.

But then, he sighed dismissing those frustrated thoughts welling up within him.

"Haah."

With a sigh, he reclined his back against the backrest of the bench.

"What do I do now?"

He raised his head to look at the sunny sky while shielding his face from the sun with his raised up left arm.

"There's no difference between that place and this place."

[Greetings Host.]

"!?" Rayto jolted. Appearing in front of him after he said those words was a blue-like screen in front of him.

"What the heck"

He immediately sat up from his relaxed position, looking left and right for a moment before his gaze fell back to the blue screen.

"S-system?"

[Welcome to the Multiversal Travelling System.]

The boy obviously taking aback merely blinked.

No questions asked, he simply stared at the system in front of him. 'This must be a hallucination. Yes! Haha...'

However, ...

[First world: Undefeated Bahamut Chronicles.]

[Main quest: Rewrite the fate and history of this world. Make your name known, and feared throughout the world.]

- [Rewards: Unlock Function: Multiversal Travelling.]

[Side quest: Participate in the monthly official drag-knight mock battle.]

- [Rewards: Atismata currency x100,000, +1 Stat Point.]

"Haha... this is neither a hallucination nor a dream...."

Easing his nerves, after reading the details on the blue panel.

He raised his right index fingers up before swiping his finger to the left.

[Confirmed.]

What appeared next was another panel.

The words "Main Menu" were boldly displayed on top, along several white highlighted text below.

[Main Menu.]

[System.]

[Host.]

[World Setting: Basic information.]

[Quests.]

[Items.]

[Skills.]

[Inventory.]

"This is different..." The boy muttered under his breath, before heaving a slightly relieved sigh.

"Then, I guess information about me comes first."

Raising his right index finger, he tapped on the [Host] text.

[Confirmed.]

Another panel appeared after the confirmation with the following details.

[Host.]

[Details:]

[Name: Rayto Nyonteh.]

[Age: 17]

[Gender: Male.]

[Race: Human?]

[Strength: 17]

[Speed: 25]

[Durability: 20]

[Stamina: 19]

[Origin: 15]

[Condition: Confused, annoyed, scared, nervous and mentally tired.]

[Note: An average human stats caps at 10 at best.]

"What the—" the first thing that caught Rayto's eyes was his strange surname. "It's different?"

"...."

To say the details about him were weird was an understatement.

"And why the fuck is there a question mark behind my race as human?"

Besides, for someone who doesn't feel anything extraordinary coming from him, he had high stats, almost double that of an average human.

'I was never an athletic person, is it because of this new body?'

'Ugh... I have so many questions.' After thinking about it for a moment, he shook his head, easing his nerves once more.

'I can't get annoyed by everything now, can I?'

Swiping his finger mid air, the system went back to its main menu.

His eyes darted around the main menu again, this time, he clicked the [World Setting] highlighted text.

[World Setting:]

[Drag-Rides.]

[Ancient weapons which were summoned by drawing sword devices used as a pair, mechanical armors, which copied legendary dragons, worn on one's body and with which one acquired the war potential of thousand soldiers.]

[Ten years ago. Seven Ruins were discovered in the world.]

[Those weapons which were excavated from there possessed power enough to overturn the war concept, which had been cultivated several hundreds of years in the past, in an instant—]

The information went on and on like that.

Rayto being a patient person read everything intently to satiate his confusion at the moment.

"A fantasy world where war and death are norms, no less..."

This time, Rayto didn't dwell on it much, he simply shut his eyes as if in contemplation before he immediately went back to the main menu.

"It would be a waste of time if I brood over it for long."

"So, I guess the next is items..."

Clicking on the item panel, nothing happened first, "...."

He then looked left and right before his gaze fell back on the two swords that laid beside him on the bench the whole time.

[Sword device: Wyvern.]

- [Wyvern. One of the three basic types of Drag-Rides, and is specialised for aerial combat. Gifted by a certain someone, a starter pack for transmigrating into another world.]

[Divine Drag Ride: Amphisbaena.]

- [A twin-headed serpent, that has become a divine dragon in its own right. The current strongest Divine-Drag ride, gifted and modified by a certain someone, however, it has a drawback.]

- [It uses too much stamina/energy. Because of its highly destructive capabilities, this weapon can only be used under certain circumstances.]

- [Special Raiment]: [To be accessed.]

- [Divine Raiment]: [To be accessed.]

"A certain someone? This doesn't explain much..." Rayto frowned as he massaged his forehead. "A Divine-Drag ride on top too...."

"This certain someone is rather generous."

"But then.... maybe this is not so bad afterall." Seeing this, Rayto relaxed a lot, his mind more at ease than before.

Divine Drag-Rides were considered to be a machine possessed by only a few.

Going by the description of his Divine Drag-Ride: Amphisbaena, it's probably a dangerous one.

"That means I can't use it all the time."

Guess it was only natural if the drag-ride is fabled by the system to be the strongest.

"But... Amphisbaena, isn't that the serpent with two heads?"

"A serpent becoming a divine dragon.... how weird."

Even though he said that, he took the platinum sword in its sheath, as he caressed the sheath of the sword.

With a smile, "Amphisbaena, I'll be counting on you."

But he paused, then picking up the other sword in a white sheath, he added, "You too... Wyvern."

"In a world like this... the only thing I can rely on is myself, and you two."

I had more than three versions of chapter one, with each one slightly better than the last.

And in the end, this was the best one I could produce---Scratch that, I had written four different versions of chapter 1 to 5.

It was kinda hard work.
