A blue flame lit up, floating in an endless void. "..." It may moved in random directions, as if to confirm where it could go.

"...I must have screwed up big time." The male voice came from the small flame.

Without warning, a domineering and stern voice boomed throughout the void. "LANGUAGE!" The blue flame shook with fear, but calmed down slightly when he heard a call cough.

"Ahem. Sorry about that, it has been quite awhile since I have actually spoken to anyone. Please don't use certain words or expressions around me, as I find them distasteful, despite the very existence of words here being meaningless, thereby rendering any attachments of emotion towards them meaningless as well." The voice spoke, now in the tone of a kind elderly man.

"...Okay. Well could you tell me what happened? Am I dead?" The flame asked.

"You were browsing forums on the dark web as usual, and accidentally found a paragraph written by a god. The knowledge was so profound that your soul tried to ascend to heaven and failed. Your neither a bad person nor a bad person, and the way you died wasn't supposed to have happened, so you are being given a second chance."

The blue flame leapt around the void in excitement. "You mean I'm being reincarnated? Do I get a OP system and abilities?! Do I get to have a harem?!?"

The void was silent for a moment before the elderly voice responded. "Yes. Sort of. If you manage to arrange it yourself, but trust me those are overrated. What I'm giving you isn't exactly an OP system, and more of an OP babysitter. The idiot that caused you to die is going to be in charge of you during your travels, but that doesn't mean they'll help you. They are only there to monitor you so you don't do anything too crazy like destroy a multiverse."

The flame stopped jumping around and hovered in still motion. "Huh. Well what world am I going to?"

"You can transfer between worlds freely, but what world you end up in will be random. You may recognize some of the worlds, but know that they are not an exact copy of the worlds you remember. I'll grant you a decent Active skill and a decent Passive Skill. It's up to your own talent to improve them."

"Hmm. What world will I be in first? And can I choose what name I want to go by, what my gender is, and what age am I?" The flame asked, flickering slightly.

"You will be in a universe within the Naruto Multiverse. As for your questions: Yes, Yes, Yes. You will enter the world around or close the point the 'main plot' as you call it, starts. In the case of this specific Naruto universe, Naruto will be one year from graduating the Hidden Leaf Village's Academy."

The flame thought in silence for a few minutes in silence. "I've always thoughts abilities and powers involving glass or mirrors seemed cool. I want something that can let me do stuff involving stuff with that."

The voice let out an annoyed sigh. "Alright, I'll see what I can do. What name do you want to be called?"

"I think I'll go by Kuma. I want to be the same age as Naruto, be male, and be somewhere nearby the Hidden Leaf Village." The flame said, before disappearing from the void.

The elderly voice chuckled. "Guess the cycle starts again. I wonder if this incarnation will figure it out in time?"
