Chapter 21: Preparations

Chapter 21: Preparations

~Liam POV~

Damn…

Really this kid needs to leave out and maybe get out more.

Because what he did was really…

Humiliating but that is digressing the point though.

I got what I came here for I got the Hope Video and the info collected by that student.

While he wasn't one of the students involved a lot in the creation of the Izuru Project his info layout of the Academy would be useful.

The Izuru Kamukura Project, also referred to as The Hope Cultivation Plan or The Kamukura Project, was an experiment directed by The Steering Committee to create artificial hope in normal students, and create the Ultimate Hope, a student with every talent researched by Hope's Peak Academy.

Named after the founder of Hope's Peak Academy, Izuru Kamukura, the project was considered to be the culmination of Hope's Peak Academy's research on talent; creating a superhuman paragon by imbuing a single person with every talent possible.

That is the whole reason I came to this dimension.

In order to achieve this goal, human experimentation and other immoralities were required, so The Steering Committee kept the project a secret, even to Principal Jin Kirigiri.

After Class 74th graduated, former students Kyosuke Munakata, Chisa Yukizome, and Juzo Sakakura somehow learned of the project and worked to uncover it, accepting positions in Hope's Peak Academy's faculty to aid their investigation.

The Reserve Course was developed in part to fund the Kamukura Project, with the majority of the students' tuition going towards it.

Sometime before Class 77-B's freshman year, the project had received sufficient funding to begin its human testing phase.

The intended subject was Hajime Hinata, a talentless Reserve Course student who was attending the academy on a special 'grant' participation in the Hope Cultivation Plan in exchange for having his tuition waived.

When everything was in place, Hajime was pulled out of the school - his official transcript stated that he was expelled in order to cover up his involvement with the project.

Under the Steering Committee's supervision, extensive surgeries were performed on Hajime to give him every talent Hope's Peak Academy had researched.

He was also lobotomized to remove his memories, personality, and other emotional functions that could interfere with acquiring talent. Hajime was briefly aware of the procedure at least once, expressing distress before being stabilized for the rest of his mental and physical restructuring.

By the time the project was completed, Hajime's personality and appearance had changed dramatically; he was given the title of "Ultimate Hope" and the name Izuru Kamukura after the school's initial founder.

When his condition was fully stabilized, he was detained in a secret room for the next stage of the Steering Committee's plans.

On paper, the Izuru Kamukura Project was a total success; the formerly unremarkable Hajime had been imbued with every talent known to Hope's Peak Academy. However, the process had also stripped Izuru of his humanity, leaving him apathetic to everything and everyone.

Something I needed to be defended against.

Hence the reason why I collected this dimension is Ryota of the Hope Video.

By brainwashing those people in charge I would need the right amount of exposure for them to help and I know just the person to collect the information to find the Steering Committee doing that I will get control of Hope's Peak Academy itself in a sense.

Glancing around and reading the knowledge of Ryota's mind…

There.

*Push*

*Click*

"INTRUDER ALERT!!"

"INTRUDER ALERT!"

Activating my Psychic Barrier and keeping myself safe I waited for just the right old man to come at me…

*BOOM*

*CLANG*

THERE!

"Ahh!"

Taking a look and a moment to read his mind I got the info where those corrupted fucks are at when they were still alive.

It may seem useless to them now this info was within this old man as he was the previous influential leader in Hope Peaks Academy and close to the leader of the Future Foundation as well.

But if I activated the emergency button here this will get Tengan's response fast despite being an old-timer.

That is a weakness if one would call it that.

After all, Tengan wanted to use the Ultimate Animator to use his talents to save the world.

Shame he won't get what he wanted with Ryota like this.

And no way I'm going to a Dark Version of this dimension as I came to a great conclusion.

Dark Multiverse of dimensions is unpredictable and extremely dangerous unless I can have the power to overwhelm the unpredictability of the Dark versions of themselves.

And an Ultimate Despair version of an Ultimate Animator that can brainwash people?

No.

Too risky to be exposed like that even with my adaptability.

Best to not take too many risks.

Anyway, the info about the Steering Committee is now entering my head and their previous homes enter my head.

Good.

the Steering Committee had four major members consisting of scientists who researched human talent. They were the highest authority in Hope's Peak Academy, even above the headmaster, but they had a tendency to let Jin Kirigiri take the blame if there were trouble.

They created The Reserve Course Department and were major players in the Izuru Kamukura project and upheld the school's ideology that focused solely on talent as humanity's hope.

Tch.

At the very least they'll be useful in increasing my overall abilities.

Sometimes the committee could even overrule the decisions of the headmaster and scouts and explicitly dis-involved them in the admission decisions of students, which is how they admitted Junko Enoshima into Hope's Peak Academy.

While they were not murderous like many other villains in the series, the Steering Committee's decisions greatly helped Junko and allowed her to achieve her evil goals.

The Steering Committee is portrayed as a group of arrogant and greedy old men, who are only interested in their own goals and are willing to use cruel methods to achieve them.

It's said that they've all done shady things in their past and they often appear openly scornful and show disgust while talking with other people, believing that they're above them even when they need the said person's help.

They rarely listen to others and they're obsessed with keeping the school's good image, which is why they constantly hide information for their own good, not caring if it's morally right or not.

When people died, the school covered it up and informed false explanations for the incidents, and the Steering Committee always made sure someone else besides them got the blame if there was an issue.

All four members of the Steering Committee are described as old men. Their pitch-black clothes are said to resemble funeral clothing.

The tallest man has darker skin and hair, and he is mentioned to have big eyebrows.

The second tallest man has grey hair and beard, and a very stern expression.

The second shortest man has a heavy build. He wears glasses and his hair is parted on one side.

The shortest man wears round sunglasses and has tied-up, long, grey hair.

I have my targets of what needs to be done.

Smug was now on my face as I couldn't help but know what the next step is at and its something pretty simple as well.

Since I have gotten the information about this place and from the old man the next phase is to kidnap these old men.

Just one would do nicely and by them get that brainwashed subject into my pocket.

After that draw the other scums into a rat trap with exposure of the Hope Video forcing them to submit and make them order some changes in test subjects.

Also, need to brainwash the doctors as well.

I don't trust them to mess with my head and with the off chance for them to lobotomize my brain in the process.

Losing my memories, personality, and other emotional functions that could interfere with me is something I don't want to miss or lose.

If I did, I would miss my humanity and the caution with it.

Not an issue with my adaptability acquiring talent will be as easy as breathing to me so I'll adapt easily.

Now…

Time for the real fun part to begin…

This will take some work but should be able to pull this off.

Could take some time but it should be worth it now then…

*Vroom*

Opening up the portal it was time for me to begin my efforts to bore some fruit.

Leaving through the portal I began to exit this version of the Danganronpa dimension and start causing mischief at this time.

Hehe.

I wonder if it was this much fun fucking over some people….
