The staunch definition of undisputed speed pierced through the sky like lightning.
Among the known powerhouses in this world, apart from Roy, there is only one person with such speed outburst and maneuverability, unmatched to any being in existence — the crowned Campione of England, the Nobleman of God Speed, Alexander Gascoigne!
[Black Lightning] is the name of this speed based Divine Authority which granted him the moniker of the Prince of Black Lightning, or in short, the Black Prince.
This is the power that Alexander Gascoigne usurped from the first Heretic God he killed, Ramiel, the Fallen Angel of Visions and Lightning.
With the help of 'Godspeed', the ability derived from [Black Lightning], he can shorten the time needed to travel from point A to B to be as fast as possible.
He can move at the speed of genuine lightning with the evocation of this ability. It also grants him a feline athelcism that allows him to perform a superior physical stuns that shouldn't be possible for a normal human.
And now Alexander Gascoigne tapped his 'Godspeed' to its fullest extent and motioned to grab the Holy Grail in Roy's hand at a speed that now even surpassed lightning.
As long as he gets the Holy Grail, even if Roy, who holds a speed authority on par of him, chases after him, it would definitely be too late.

On the quest of searching for the Holy Grail, through good fortune and sharp instincts, he slew the Fallen Angel Ramiel and became a Campione at the age of sixteen.
He was gratified to be a Godslayer, because with this new level of identity, he believed that he will soon be able to find the legendary Holy Grail, satisfying his own longings, and fulfilling his father's last wishes.
This was not the first time he had met Guinevere. He first met her when he had just killed his third Heretic God known as Minos/Minotaur in Crete and gained a new Authority.
There Guinevere explained that she once worked with Lucretia Zola in the past, but due to their disagreement with certain points of view they split; there Guinevere invited Alex to join her and she would give him the Holy Grail.
It's just that the Black Prince looked down upon the Queen of Divine Ancestors in the end.
He responded by stating that he could just take the thing as long as he knew where it was. When he was about to attack, the Heretic God, Lancelot came to defend Guinevere and then hastily retreated from his grasps.
Once Lancelot and Guinevere were gone, Alex and Princess Alice met at Lucretia Zola's place and asked her some questions about Guinevere.

Gascoigne knew that he could not snatch the Holy Grail as long as it was with Guinevere, but he was confident about the one in Roy's hands.
