Noticing how the pink-haired girl and the chubby dude are struggling and gradually getting cornered by the zombies, Marcus and his team joined to help. As Marcus and Vera controlled themselves back from using firearms and divine power, they did not want to frighten them off. Instead, they brandished their swords, camouflaging them to make the rest assume that Marcus and Vera brought them out of his bag instead of magically materializing.

Marcus and Vera stood slashing the heads off every zombie with such precision and swiftness that six zombies' heads would drop with every slash. Saeko was gradually getting aroused as she witnessed Marcus' swordsmanship, precisely the ravenous grin, hunger for blood, and hunger to fight. The countenance Saeko understood all too well. After all, she would constantly have the identical grin while battling. However, she has always maintained it out of plain sight for the rest to never discover it.

Now there is someone just else like her. How could she not be delighted, especially with someone she sensed a connection with. As soon her gaze met Marcus in the Nurse's room, she understood they held some kind of connection between them, though she could not place her finger on the thought of what and how she could discern it. It felt like the compatibility of their essence corresponding to each other, something like a soulmate, but now she understands. With the exact grin, Saeko joined the battle and gradually adjusted to the rhythm of the siblings.

After clearing the wave of zombies around them, Saeko directly returned to her indifferent facade. It was Saeko's first time allowing all this emotion out in a battle in front of somebody other than her. Desiring to know what Marcus would judge of her expressing such appalling behaviour. As she turned her head toward Marcus, Saeko was stunned. Marcus was gazing at her with such an overwhelming gaze. Such craving and desire, especially lust, were all detected by Saeko as soon as she stared at his eyes. She could not endure such a passionate gaze. Instead, she glanced away, embarrassed but mainly charmed that Marcus did not dislike her but wanted her.

Marcus didn't conceal his gaze from Saeko, understanding that she would steadily fall for him, primarily when she had expressed such demeanour. Nevertheless, it thrilled him to conquer and make her his. Such a precious charming warrioress just made to be by his side forever. Looking around at the two students they had saved, they heard a pink-haired girl murmuring.

"I'm a genius, i-i can survive thi-this easily I don't need any help, after all, I'm a strong independent genius."

Marcus could feel her emotion. She was mostly shaken up and simply terrified to be alone and wanted to rely on someone to take care of her. Still, her pride and ego did not allow her to do so, so she thought of solely surviving and waiting for her parent to come to rescue her at school. Instead, Marcus slowly moved towards the girl he knew named Saya Takagi. As Marcus got nearer, he noticed Saya was visibly trembling, so he pulled her into his arms while patting her hair and back steadily to calm her down.

Sensing the warmth radiating from Marcus's hug, she shattered and broke down immediately. She yelled and cried. Yet, she unconsciously let her guard down near this man and gradually became dependent on him. Marcus had discreetly silenced the spot around them to prevent Saya's cries from attracting the zombies to them.

After 10 minutes of her weeping, Saya dozed off in Marcus' arms. That was just how comfy and free she felt around Marcus. He slowly princess carried her and placed her head perfectly on his shoulder as he told the group to follow him.
