Ch. 76 Scathach

I was in the crowd with my hood up, and Liz was inside my hood and well. I watched on as Artoria was crowned as King of Britain.

Our eyes crossed, and it didn't take any words to understand one another.

As the coronation finished, I walked through the crowd.

Taking one last look, I see Artoria did a little wave.

Smiling, I kept walking through the crowd unnoticed.

Liz:" Yay! A new adventure!"

" You're right."

Taking a horse, We traveled towards Ireland.

* 8 months later*

Liz:" Brrr, it's cold!!"

" Can't you use the fire element?"

Liz:" I can't, I can only use ice element since we're surrounded by ice. If I tried to make fire, I would need to gather heat from the surrounding area."

" Which will make it colder, and the fire won't last long."

Liz:" Correct!"

Tossing some wood to the fire, we were camping in a cave from a snowstorm.

" Here, I found some nuts."

Liz:" Yay!! Nuts!!" Taking the nuts from my hand, she ate like a chipmunk.

sighing, I leaned back against the cave walls, enjoying the warmth of the fire.

* A few weeks later ,*

< The barrier is weakened, sir>

' Alright, let's do this.'

" Liz, I'm going to need you to hang on."

Liz:" Aye aye sir!" She floated inside my collar and peeked her little head out.

" Phew." Taking the spear, I started to concentrate the space element to the tip of my spear. And as I felt the space Ripple in front of me, I swung the spear down as hard as I could.

On top of the mountain where I was standing in a huge space, fissure opened. Hurriedly jumping through it, I manipulated the space to hold it in place for a second.

Passing through, I tried to control the space to stop the pressure of me and Liz. Activating gamers' minds to concentrate more clearly, I managed to pass to the Land of Shadows.

Flipping through the air, I used Aroemancy to soften my fall.

* Bam!! *

" Phew, made it."

Liz:" Wwweeeeee, that was fun!!"

As Liz started to fly around. I checked the surroundings, a dead land filled with rock formations. Large black mountains in the distance. And a couple of worn-out castles and buildings.

" Come on, Liz, let's explore."

Liz:" Explore!!!"

Taking off my hood, that went over my head when I fell. I walked forward with Liz following.

As I walked, I looked at the worn-out castles that were falling apart. Sensing nobody in them, I kept moving forward as Liz was checking out the castles flying in them and coming out.

As I approached the last castle the moment I touched the door handles, I felt my sixth sense go off. Grabbing Liz, I jumped back, but I was still hit in the stomach. Even though I managed to disperse some of the attacks, momentum, I still felt my ribs broken before healing.

???;" Hmm? You survived? Not bad."

'Scathach.' I thought seriously. Seeing the most perfect woman I laid my eyes on, I didn't let it get to my head as I was focused on predicting her next move.

Scathach:" This is interesting. No matter how I attack, you still manage to predict it."

' Tch, clairvoyance is a bitch.'

Dodging a spear attack to my head I uppercut her chin which she dodged by stepping back.

Scathach:" Not bad, you countered a normal attack."

' Her experience as an immortal has made her arrogant, I could use this. If not, then I could only try to prolong the battle as much as I could.'

Stabbing the spear to the ground, I took the White Fang.

Scatach:" A small blade for big man, are you sure you could fight me with that?"

" Why don't you give it try? Liz, don't come any closer. Just watch from the sideline."

Scathach, hearing me call Liz, took notice of her.

Scathach:" A fairy? You must have quite the blessing."

" Yeah, and it seems you have quite the curse."

Scathach:" So you noticed, huh?"

Scathach wrote in the air.

' Primordial Runes. ' I thought, but I don't know its effect. But I got my answer when I saw a powerful fire magic approach me.

' Full Counter.' Relfecting the magic attack back to scathach with double power, she was surprised before she disappeared.

Using space sense and bullet time, I felt her move her spear, and just as I was about to dodge, the spear was already in front of me.

' Wha??'

With no choice but to use the white fang to absorb most of the attack, I flew back with a slash on my chest.

Quickly getting up, I was hit once more by the butt of her spear.

* Bam *

Thrown into a castle, I got up as my wounds and assassins creed healed and fixed itself.

Scathach:" Incredible healing factor and a cool looking outfit that fixes itself."

Hurriedly turning my body, I saw Scathach sitting on some rubble as she held her spear.

' She's too fucking fast.'

Taking my Transforming Kunai from a wristband to a kunai, I was ready to defend myself.

Scathach:" Sigh, this is pointless. I don't think you're what I'm looking for. But you do have great potential."

Ignoring me, she turned to look into the distance, which is a wall, but I didn't point that fact out.

' Is...is she monologing????'

Scathach:" Well, speak, why did you come to the Land of Shadows?"

Not lowering my gaurd. I spoke.

" To learn from you."

Scathach:" Learn huh? Do you think you could just come in here and ask me to become your teacher?"

" Yes."

Scathach:" You're supposed to say no."

" But that's the truth."

Scathach:" You're supposed to be groveling at my foot and beg."

" Never mind, i don't want to."

' Iris, is the barrier still weakened?'

< I'm afraid it's not, sir>

' Shit.'

Scathach:" Sigh, fine. I'll teach you, but you must swear an oath to me. If I train you, you must grant me a battle to the death. Only one of us will live."

" That's fine."

' I'm confident in my gamers system and learning speed.'

Scathach:" Very well than lesson one, don't drop your guard." Spinning her spear, she tried to hit me, but I quickly parried it.

Scathach shifted onto one foot and kicked me with the other as her spear was still in the air.

predicting her muscle movement with a transparent world, I grabbed it and tried to trip her other foot before she grabbed my hand and dropped her spear onto my shoulder, dislocating it.

Ignoring the pain, I stabbed her leg and twiting the kunai along with her leg down. Making her kneel on knee before she headbutt me and followed with a punch.

Falling tonthe ground, I used this chance to fix my shoulder faster and rolled out of the way of the spear that was about to hit me.

We fought for hours as I lay on the ground as Scathach was skiing on my stomach.

" Huff, huff, I think I'm going to die."

Scathach:" Lucky you."

" Sorry, I didn't mean to flex on you that I could die Oooff!!."

Scathach digged her spear into my stomach.

" Uuurgghhh."

Scathach:" Come on, you wanted to train by me. You'll get rained by me, so get up."

" Fine."

Liz:" Go, Yuto!!"

She cheered as she ate cashews.
