Ch. 30 Massascre

Throwing Kunais and Shurikens are the zombies' eyes and legs. They managed to slow them down, but the mutated zombies ignored them and just kept running, I assumed that they were relying on their other senses.
They group were instantly alert of presence, but seeing that I was helping from the shadows. They ignored me and went to fight against the zombies.
After an hour of killing zombies, they dropped loot, but it seemed that they couldn't see it. Still hiding in the shadows, I waited for them to move so I could loot the area. But the thing was that they weren't moving.
Deciding to use Shiro as a distraction, I gave Shiro a smoke bomb and would summon him back to me when he led the others away.
Shiro, with a smoke bomb in his mouth, ran to where I spawned. And the moment he landed, the others noticed him.
Saiki:" A cat, wait!! hold on. " Seeing that Shiro was running away, she gave a case to him. The others seeing her run after the cat followed as well.
Genji:" Well, follow the cat, I guess," Adter said, saying that he followed as well with the help of Daiki. Kenji also followed when he saw Sai picking something from a zombie corpse.
Kenji:" Oii, Sai, are you coming?"
Sai:" Yeah, just go on, I'll be there."
Kenji left, and Sai got up, holding one of my kunais.
Sai:" I know you're there, but thanks anyways."
' yeesh, what an edge lord. Wait, that bastard took my kunai!!'
Remembering the face of the edge lord for taking my Kunai and taking out the summoning scroll to summon back Shiro.
*Poof*
Shiro returned and helped in picking up my kunais and shurikens.

sighing at the uneven number of kunais I have, I just shrugged and picked up loot with the help of Shiro.

The exp was from the zombies I killed, and the rest were killed by the group. After taking the loot, I checked the quest.

Almost half way through, I walked forward to where the zombies came from.

' Shit, really?' I checked the quest for confirmation and saw it wasn't completed.

Sighing to myself, I left towards where the group went with Shiro. But looking at the title of the quest once more, I noticed that I needed to help them and thinking of before they seemed to be doing well even with Genji injured.
Walking to where the group left I noticed that some of there bags were on the grounds, not wanting to fail the mission I hurriedly tracked them and ran towards their directions, Parkouring my way to the second floor, because the escalators and stairs were torn. Landing on the second floor, I saw a hord of zombies.
Not wasting immediately started attacking using different breathing styles.

Swinging and bending my blade in a flowing dance slicing everything.

Rushing forward with a horizontal cyclone with blinding speed and cutting everything around me. Arriving at the middle With [Delayed attack] I managed to increase the power of the attacks and its reach it was like a massacre.
By the time I was done, I checked around me and saw nothing but a massacre.

The weakness of this form was obvious I need to use [Delayed attack] to build power and release it in a horizontal swing. I need to make sure I don't need someone taking advantage of that weakness.

Still holding onto the katana, I moved forward with Shiro, who was on my head, I put him there in case he would be overwhelmed. Moving forward, I managed to find the group, but we're behind a barricade. They seemed tired with some injuries, and Genji being more injured with Sai healing him. The first to notice me was Sai but didn't say anything and just kept an eye on me.
Saiki:" Huh? A kid? What are you doing there, little guy?"
Kenji:" HEY!!! It's that cat from earlier. You must've set us up." Kenji pointed his finger at me.
" With your loud voice, it's no wonder you're being attacked. Maybe you scared him because of your so noisy, loser,"
[Taunt activated]
Kenji:" Grrr, get over, kid. I'm going to teach you some manners."
[Taunt Successful]
" What, getting work over by a kid, how low could you fall just to fight a kid, loser."
Saiki:" Kenji shut up."
Kenji:" What, but he started it."
" Gross acting like a child, no wonder you're a loser." Giving the look of disgust at Kenji, I heard Genji, who has an injured shoulder lean on the barricade, talk to me.
Genji:" Psst, hey kid, do you have cigarettes on you."
Daiki:" Don't be a bad influence to the kid." Hitting Genji on his head, he looked at me.
Daiki:" How'd you get here kid, this place should be surrounded by hords. We barely managed to survive."
" I'm just better." Shrugging my shoulder , I looked at Sai, who was also looking at. Seeing that I was looking at him, he just nodded and said.
Sai:" Hello."
Nodding at him, I looked at them and spoke.
" If you need an exit, I could take you there. "
Kenji:" And why should we trust you?"
" You aren't dead yet. Well, if you want to stay here, then be my guess, especially with this mall being littered with zombies." walking and looking back at them, I spoke once more.
" Especaiply with loud mouth, you're going to be overrun."
Walking forward again, I walked towards the exit door I found earlier. The group looked at each other and climbed over the barricade and followed me.
Kenji:" Are we seriously going to follow a kid?"
Genji:" Doesn't matter, as long as I get out of this death trap."
Daiki:" We can't stay here forever."
Saiki:" I'm sure he won't hurt us."
Sai:" Hm," Sai nodded.
Daiki:" Just stop you're whining. Either we die here or have a chance to escape and live for another day."
Seeing them walk forward, kenji had no other choice but to follow them. Walking for a while, they saw many bodies on the ground and were amazed out how much there was. Passing through the bodies, we managed to reach the exit door.
"You guys, go first."
Nodding as Daiki opened the door, the moment it opened, the fire alarm went off. The moment they heard that, they hurriedly ran out the door. After Kenji was the last one to go out, I immediately closed the door on them, leaving only myself in the building.
Saiki:" Hey wai..." Before she could finish, I closed the door, I broke the handle and held it in place with a steel rod.
with that door closed, the alarm stopped, and I heard footsteps rushing towards me. Getting in stance I held the sword in position and build power into the blade and the moment the hord came close I unleashed the power and massacre about 36 zombies and getting into the first form again, the second the zombie was about to attack at an arms length. I released another attack.

I did the same over and over until I felt like I was being overwhelmed. Until I got another idea for another form. I started to build power in the blade and held it In a laido stance and swung the blade to the right killing multiple zombies than using that momentum swung from right to left but the power was weaker, than swung from left to right and held the blade in a lower right and swung it to the upper left although it killed multiple zombies it wasn't like the first swing.
I kept using this new form and added more footwork and power into the attacks. And like that, I managed to create a dance that every swing managed to kill multiple targets at once.

seeing the scratched katana turn into a white katana buy the moment I used [Flame breathing] to test it out I saw it changed into a red and orange color. Testing it out on [Breath of massascre], I saw it changed into red like blood and deep black.
As I was admiring the new sword, I heard knocks from behind the exit door.
*Knock*knock*
Ignoring that, I just went towards where the zombies came from, and seeing some stragglers still left, I finished then off quickly.

Splitting seven in half, the second swing killed four, and the third killed the last one. Walking over their bodies and heading to a large shop in the middle, I saw blood and mud with sticks on the ground.

heading inside the nest that previously looked like a huge clothing store. Taking a step but immediately stopped as [Sixth sense] kicked in and tried to dodge but was too slow. kicked to the floor, and kicked again to a support pillar. I hurriedly got up and saw nothing.

I saw Shiro next to me, who had his back hunched, and I put him on my shoulder. I walked to the middle again and stranded in a laido stance as I walked in a 360 motion ready to strike. When [Sixth sense] went off, Immediately used [ Bullet Time] and saw the enemy.

Seeing it come in slow motion, I attacked its neck.

Doing an upward motion with the blade, I unleashed an arcing vertical slash that ripped its head off. Deactivating [Bullet Time]. I looked back.

After decapitating its head, I saw it struggling to crawl away walking towards I stabbed into its heart.

after killing the hunter, I turned back to walk to the [ Zombie nest] once more, but the moment I turned around, I saw more hunters hanging from the ceiling and mutated zombies rushing towards me.

* sniffing microphone intesifies *
Author:" I see it's a demanding job, especially when you take naps on Yuto's head, huh?"
Shiro nods with an expression like he's holding this story together.
Author:" Welp seems that Yuto's done massacaring zombies. back to the story. oh, before I forget, here's your payment, Shiro. "
Gives Shiro a fish, who gladly takes it and walked out of the screen.

*Panting*
After finishing the last zombie, I felt Shiro on my back.
"Where'd you get the fish?"
Shiro is busy eating the fish, not caring to respond.
"Forget it than"
Taking out the [Recovering Gourd], I drank its contents and felt my health and stamina restore. Heading towards the [Zombie Nest] and before I could open the broken glass door the ground trembled and felt my [Sixth sense] alerted me and jumped on top of the broken piller and saw the ground break open.
"Oh, come on!!!"
Seeing what came out was a large Zombie that was four times my height. I used observe and saw.
