Contracts and Contradictions part 1

The being in front of me was completely covered in the black clothing, no skin showing. Black hair, black robes, black mask, it was hard to discern his figure. His hair is long, reaching the middle of his back. Everything was such a dark color, it looked like a black hole had appeared, instead of a person.

"It seems you could use some help." His voice was boyish, slightly young, and a noticed a sword at his waist. "I don't usually do things like contracts, but it's required for some reason." He shrugs his shoulders. His demeanor is completely nonchalant, like none of this matters much, but he still cares for some reason.

"What would happen if I were to sign a contract with you?" He looks around and peers down to Fenrir, still frozen in time. "The main thing I'm known for is holding things together. Dark matter. I can control it completely, so if you sign with me, I could allow you to control it as well. Make things fall apart at their smallest level, completely disintegrating into nothingnes." He talks like it's normal, and not overpowered.

"Ok, what would I have to give you in return for this?" He looks back to me, tilting his head. "Nothing really. I just get bored, and help people. It would be great if you could gather my divinities though. My powers may get, say, out of hand, sometimes, so my things have disappeared into the universes."

"How did you lose your own divinities? Aren't those important to you?" I ask, confused. "Not as much as you might think. I can still fly, even though you have my wings. The main thing I need is my sword." He takes the scabbard off his belt, revealing it to be empty. "It holds a lot of my power, so I'm actually weaker than usual. Still plenty strong to kill a hundred Fenrirs in a second though."

That strong? Is he the strongest one then? Or are the other seven also as strong? "Why don't I tell you about the other gods and demons before you sign a contract? Help you make an educated decision." I can hear the smile on his voice, and it seems like he genuinely just wants to help.

"Sure, what should I know about them?" He crossed his legs, taking a sitting position while in the air. "As you might have guessed, there are more then just the seven of us. An infinite amount of gods and demons exist, each one of it's own domain. If you were to search through all of them, you would probably find one that fits you perfectly.

However, all the other ones are actually very weak, and are limited by the universal law of balance. This limits how much they can do at any given time, so choosing one of them isn't recommended. The seven main ones balance each other perfectly, meaning we can use our powers at max force without any consequences.

If I might suggest something, I would recommend going for a demon instead of a god. The gods have extremely strict rules, and if you break any of them, you die instantly. A demon might ask you to do something, but unless you continually go against them, they won't kill you.

The seven main gods and demons are easily recognized by their colors. Grey is balance, black" he points to himself " is darkness, white is light, red is destruction, pink is creation, purple is death, and green is life. Their domains include anything related to the corresponding name, and they all have their own unique weapons. I see you know how to use a sword like me.

And you also have the ability to use music while fighting, and you have a lot of speed and movement based stats, like me. The other six tend to take everything very seriously, so you might want to watch your words when talking with them."

He explains everything I need to know in a casual way, but he makes sure I'm listening. The fact that I'm talking to a literal demon almost slips my mind, as his carefree and casual way of talking makes him seem like a kid. I can't feel any magic or energy radiating from him, but it probably means he's just really good at controlling his power.

"I would recommend you talk to all of us before you sign contract. And I'll use this as a token of good will, as you might put it." Fein starts floating away, over to him. "You won't be able to fight at all if you need to protect her the whole time. And I'll keep time frozen while you talk to the others."

Both of them disappear, suddenly and with no flair. No noise, no lights, nothing. They're just gone. I look at the list of notifications again, and move to the second one. Another person appears in front of me, a blinding color of white. A woman, almost a foot taller then me, with white, feathery wings on her back. A war hammer held pointed down in between us, with white flames crawling across it. She's wearing white armor, like a Knight, which reflects the nonexistent sunlight around us.

Unlike the demon, she has a blindfold on, which blends in with her milk white skin and hair. Her hair flows down, covering to her ankles. Her hidden eyes gaze down at me, as she holds herself high, back and neck straight. "I will tell you directly. You are weak. Horribly so."
