31 Preparation to Attack

"Are you sure about this?"

"Yes, My Lord"

This isn't good. I never thought that the Tepes clan would launch an attack toward my land. Carol and her CEDEF got information about Marius Tepes killing his father and usurping the throne of the Tepes Clan. Not only that, but the CEDEF also gets information about Marius having a unique unit in his army. A unit consisted of a Lizard-like humanoid creature. After hearing that piece of information, I know that this attack mastermind is not Marius but rather Rizevim.

That Lizard-like humanoid creature is the creation of Rizevim by using one of the Holy Grail Valerie had. This creature is a mass-produced Evil Dragon, or at least what it was supposed to be. By the look of it, Rizevim did not have enough power to create the actual evil dragon.

"What should we do, Master?"

I look at Medea, who comes to me and places down a cup of tea.

"I think that we should attack them first before they are ready to fight. Carol, what do you think?"

"If we can gather enough men by the end of the day, I think that plan should be work. Right now, Marius forces make camp in the south of a village called Fântâna Doamnei in the county named Călărași County. By the look of it, they only move when the night arrives in Romania. If they move the entire night toward our land, then they should arrive in Dragoș Vodă before the sun rises from the horizon."

"If we gather enough men by the end of the day, I don't think we can fight at all. Not only is it so sudden, but also we can't prepare enough equipment for the fight."

"Yes. However, if we gather our army this day and begin the attack when the sun is high in the air."

"You mean to attack them in Dragoș Vodă?"

"Yes. Not only will it give us enough time to prepare but also make the Tepes army weak enough for a quick fight. An undead is known for its weakness against sunlight. While they did not immediately die from sunlight, they weakened enough that they could die by a single strike from a sword."

"You are right. Carol, I need CEDEF to continue their work in informing us about their location."

"Yes, Master."

"Medea. Please create a potion for me. This time we don't need quality but rather a quantity. Also, make sure that our bounded field is in top condition. I don't want anyone to attack this city while we are away from home. Lastly, I want you to create a massive magic circle that is enough for all of us to use."

"Of course, master."

"Mordred, Gather all of our fighters in the barracks. I also want you to make sure they are in top condition."

"Leave it to me!"

Lastly, I look at Valerie and Amelia, who sits on the couch in front of me.

"Amelia Valerie. I want you to stay here."

"What?"

"Yes…"

"But I want to come with you as well."

"Please don't misunderstand me, Amelia. The reason why I am doing this is that I want someone to defend this place in case something happens. I also want you to protect Valerie for me. Can you do that for me?"

"... Very well. I will protect Faysummit and Valerie."

"Thank you."

After saying that, I get up from the chair and say.

"You guys know your job, Dismissed."

I see my guardian begin to leave me alone with Valerie.

"Ne, Valerie"

"Hmm? What is it, Big Brother?"

"How are you feeling right now?"

"Hmm?"

"Tomorrow morning, I will fight your brother and possibly kill him. Will you be mad at me if I do that?"

"No. Never. You are my Big Brother, and that always will be like that, forever."

"Thank you, Valerie."

"No, The one that should say that is me. I'm the one you rescue when the devil tore my soul apart. You are also the one that fixed the broken me. You are the one that gives me the family that I never had. That is why you don't need to feel guilty for me, Brother. Marius is a stranger to me and never was my brother. Lexian Vongola is my brother, not Marius."

I smile at her and give her a head pat.

*Carol Danvers POV*

It has been a few months since I got summoned in this world. It also has been a few months since I got rescued by Lexian from Thanos's attack. I never thought that my energy absorption would get me into trouble. When Thanos attacks me using the Power Stone, my abilities decide to absorb Power Stone energy around my body, but unfortunately for me, it backfired. The power stone energy that is absorbed inside my body becomes a toxin that slowly kills me. Even my cosmic power cannot counter it. After giving up and accepting my death, I feel warm energy begins to spread from my body. Like a mother hug that promises that everything will be alright, it continues to spread throughout my body.

As I open my eyes, I look at my body and find out that somehow, I gain a tiny bit of the power stone power. Not only that, but I also have another source of power inside my body. This mysterious power is like a cloud. Free and Unchained like clouds in the sky that freely drift anywhere it goes.

After inspecting my newfound power, I met Lexian for the first time. It was also the first time I believed in Love at first sight. By looking at him, I know that he is the one that will become my partner for life.

When Lexian explains to me what Flame is and my role in this situation, I immediately accept it. Not only for paying my debt for him rescuing me but also for my selfish wish.

For months, I lived with Lexian and watched how the small community of running away slaves/prey to the vampire began to grow into a proper city. All of this can be accomplished because of Lexian. While he keeps saying that he doesn't do anything at all, the others know that without him, the other will never live peacefully in one city. He is our sky. He is the sky that accepts all. He welcomes us even with our faults. Lexian sees us as his equal, even though the others know that he is the owner of the land.

The people that come to Faysummit expected that they needed to pay for their stay, but to their surprise, Lexian did not ask them anything. He nurses them until they can get back on their feet. He heals the injured with his Flame. He gave them home. However, the most important thing… He gives them hope.

For Lexian, it was the right thing to do, but those people? It was an act of a saint. Without him knowing, Lexian became a saint to those people. Lexian also has a perfect aura around him that makes people more convinced that he is a saint. He gives an aura that is almost the same as an angel if the people that meet an angel are telling the truth. However, there is a slight difference between them. Angels have a soothing aura and make you feel safe. While Lexian gives an Aura that makes you feel at home that you never know, a feeling that promises you safety, a feeling that promises you that he will never leave you alone.

That warm feeling is also the reason why I love Lexian so much.

However, as time goes, he never touches me other than hugging and a quick kiss. I ask myself a question about why he never takes me to his bed while he takes Medea to his bed. Do I look ugly? Does my short hair make me undesirable? Does my personality make him stay away from me? All of those questions begin to pop up from my head.

As I am filled with confusion, Medea comes to me and says.

"You are a cloud. You are meant to be free. Master thought that asking you about it would restrict you from your freedom. Even though he can force you to sleep with him, even though he will never do that, he didn't do it because he fears that you feel restricted to him."

After hearing that, I smiled a little because now I know that Lexian did not think of me negatively, but rather, he cared about my feelings.

That is why I decided to ask him first.

As I knock the door to Lexian room, I hear him saying.

"Come in."

As I open up the door, I see Lexian sit down on a chair reading some books.

"Carol. What can I do for you?"

I smiled at him and deactivated the illusion I created earlier and revealed my lingerie to him.

"Yes, I want you to take me to the bed and make love with me."

"Hmmm. As you wish, Princess."

Lexian walks toward me and begins to nibble on my neck. While doing so, he begins releasing a little bit of his Sky flame. After finishing biting my neck, Lexian began to kiss me in the mouth and let his tongue dance around my mouth. While his mouth is busy, Lexian uses his hand to take care of my breast, and when combined with his lightning flame, I can feel a pleasure-pain run through my breast.

"ᵀᵃᵏᵉ ᵐᵉ."

"Hmmm?"

"Take me."

"With pleasure."

Lexian then pushes me into the bed and begins to undress. I inspected him from top to bottom and stopped at his not-so-little Lexian was already up and ready to fight.

I know that this night will be eventful.
